So Mad Dog Gadaffi is on the brink, in fact by the time I finish this short post he may well have been deposed. Few in Libya or elsewhere will regret his downfall, apparently for years he had to pay people to be his mates.
Still, with reports of a bloodbath in Tripoli being conspicuously absent from mainstream news services that old adage that truth is the first castualty of war holds good.
Having said that, how nice it was to see Barack Hussein Obama accepting the congratulations of supporters after personally leading the Libyan rebels advance on Tripoli, his loyal lieutenant Dave Shiny Face Cameron at his side throughout the whole campaign.
Ugh. Few things make me cringe more than undeserving credit snatchers. It’s very…..un-English.

What was really projectile vomit inducing was a blogger on one of the US Liberal blogs saying “This could be the triumph that seals Obama’s re-election.
A couple of months ago Obie couldn’t put enough distance between himsef and the war.

Absolutely hilarious that a bloke the rebels had captured yesterday and were going to drag before the international criminal court popped up this moring leading the pro Gadaffi troops.
On a more sinister not it look as if the government side might have withdrawn tactically to Tripoli and other towns where NATO air support for the rebels is restricted by the risk to civilians. That could get very nasty.

Unfortunately there might be a bigger bloodbath after he has gone.
