And what better time to remind ourselves of that than as we recall the Lib Dem shambles last week, watch with morbid fascination the antics of Labour and like the crowd at a Roman Circus look forward to the Tories tearing each other to shreds next week.

A move to oust Cammers is a very long shot for this year, but next time …

    • That project, which was being put together when I was still working, was always about control freakery and never about automating patient records.

      I only ever talked to an NHS region about a project one. They called our consultany in to rescue a project but I finally wrung out of the bureaucrats that they were telve months into the planned timescale, twelve months behind schedule and had overspent all their bidgets.

      The bigggest threat to the NHS is NHS managers.
