Boggart Blog has warned of the unhealthy degree of control Google, with the complicity and cooperation of the US Government exercises over the internet. What makes this worse is those two semi autistic little nerds who founded Google and the equally psychotic executives to whom they delegate responsibility are not operating with a full set of human emotions.

Not only are they deficient in empathy, compassion, fellow feeling and respect for others as a healthy human being ought to be, they actually despise those qualities and believe we would all be better off with chips implanted in our brains so emotions can be overridden and thoughts controlled from a Google data centre. The chief executive of Europe’s largest newspaper publisher has accused Google of abusing a monopoly position in the digital economy to discriminate against competitors and build up a “superstate”.

In an open letter to Google’s Eric Schmidt published in Wednesday’s Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, the head of Germany’s Axel Springer SE publishing house, Mathias Döpfner, said the US company was operating a business model that “in less reputable circles would be called a protection racket”, discriminating against competitors in its search rankings. Google’s motto was “if you don’t want us to finish you off, you better pay”, he said.

Döpfner – whose publishing portfolio includes Europe’s best-selling newspaper, the tabloid Bild, as well as the centre-right broadsheet Die Welt – admitted that his own company was completely reliant on Google, a fact that made him and other publishers scared.

I quite like Döpfner’s new corporate motto for Google, there’s a lot of truth in it, but it’s not as catchy as the one Boggart Blog came up with … “Don’t be evil, that’s our job.”
