India plans to buy Russian coal, reducing dependence on US, Canada & Australia

After seemingly fading away for a while, the climate change hoax has been pushed to the top of the news again by a massive propaganda troll fronted by the Swedish muppet Pippi Longstocking Greta Thunberg, through whom a bunch of particularly fanatical Cultural Marxis activists are weaponising the emotional effect of a frightened, backward child to persuade us to accept their faux science based case.

As this blog reported last week, it is only the nations of the developed world that ultra – left (so far left in fact they have gone full circle and become indistinguishable in their authoritarianism from the extreme right. Meanwhile the “developing economies” of the third world continue to develop their economies with energy derived from coal, oil, gas and other fossil fuels, and correspondingly increase their carbon dioxide emissions year on year, with China having already surpassed The USA and India behind those two in third place (Source: Investopedia).

India still has a long way to go before it overhauls The USA, but while liberal politicians in Washington, Brussels, London and Canberra make polants to trash the economies of developed nations by setting unrealistic targets for reducing Carbon Dioxide emission India, with the most rapidly expanding industrial base in the world, and Russia which has the largest coal reserves, are in talks to supply coking coal (essential for steelmaking and other smelting processes,) from mines in Russia’s Far East, as the Indian government, seeks to reduce reliance on its traditional suppliers such as the US, Canada and Australia, where they fear minguided environmental policies will sanction coal exports.

In 10 years, the South Asian country, which has negligable fossil fuel resources is expected to double its imports of as its economic expansion gathers pace, the head of Far East Russia Investment and Export Agency Leonid Petukhov said, after talks with Indian businessmen and government officials. During the visit the official also met with Indian Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan to discuss the possible shipments.

During the Russian delegation’s visit delegates also met with Indian Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan to discuss the possiblity of commencing shipments in 2020.

Pradhan told a press conference that supplies of coal from the Russia’s remote easter provinces can surge, as the product is more attractive in terms of price, and also conveniently positioned for ports and sea routes, Times of India reported, citing the minister.

Representatives of Coal India Limited and Indian Steel Association have previously visited coal mines in Russia’s Far East, while Russian mineral extraction companies, such as Kolmar, EVRAZ and Mechel, have delivered test shipments to India. Those samples are reportedly being tested at the Indian plants.

India currently imports more than 50 million tons of coking coal, Russia’s share of which is relitavely low, currently standing at around 1 percent, according to Indian government figures.

Indian steel and energy companies reportedly intend to increase this to around 9 million annually. However, Indian partners may ask Russia to develop inland as well as port logistics and rail connectivity in the Far East to facilitate the growth of supplies. They are also likely to ask Russian firms to consider concessions and preferential terms for Indian companies.

It is common knowledge that developing economies such as China and India along with other large population, low labour cost economies have been excluded from the targets and restrictions agreed at the various climate conferences such as Paris, Copenhagen and Cancun, because they argued that to hold back their economic development would be unfair to the poor among their populations.

This is a spurious argument of course, the true purpose of the climate change scarmongering practiced by the elities has been in the public domain for many years, and many politicians, business people, academics and media luvvies are on record as having stated as much, that the goal is the redistribution of wealth from the prosperous nations to the poor. Consider these words, just a few of the many ways that great, frightening truth has been stated:

David Brower, a founder of the Sierra Club: “The goal now is a socialist, redistributionist society, which is nature’s proper steward and society’s only hope.”

Maurice Strong, Canadian businessman and ~UN Official who organized the first U.N. Earth Climate Summit (1992) in Rio de Janeiro: “We may get to the point where the only way of saving the world will be for industrialized civilization to collapse.”

Former UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon: “Now it is the least developed world who are not responsible for this climate change phenomenon that bore the brunt of climate change consequences so it is morally and politically correct that the developed world who made this climate change be responsible by providing financial support and technological support to these people.”

John Holdren,  chief scientific advisor to President Obama: “A massive campaign must be launched to restore a high-quality environment in North America and to de-develop the United States…De-development means bringing our economic system (especially patterns of consumption) into line with the realities of ecology and the global resource situation…Redistribution of wealth both within and among nations is absolutely essential, if a decent life is to be provided for every human being.”

Emma Brindal, Friends of the Earth executive: “A climate change response must have at its heart a redistribution of wealth and resources.”

Ottmar Edenhofer, UN IPCC official: Basically it’s a big mistake to discuss climate policy separately from the major themes of globalization. That will change immediately if global emission rights are distributed. If this happens, on a per capita basis, then Africa will be the big winner, and huge amounts of money will flow there.

U.S. Senator Timothy Wirth (D-CO) addressing the Rio Climate Summit audience: agreed: “We have got to ride the global warming issue. Even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing in terms of economic policy and environmental policy.

Sen. James Inhofe responding to President Obama’s State Of The Union address: “Why the pain for no gain? As The Wall Street Journal put it when reporting on just one of the president’s many climate regulations, this is a wealth redistribution scheme being imposed by the president through the EPA.”

Pope Francis: Climate Change will be just one of the means for “redistribution of wealth” especially in the U.S.

Christiana Figueres, the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC): “This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model, for the first time in human history.”

Ottmar Edenhofer: Climate change policy is about how we redistribute de facto the world’s wealth.

From, “A Good Life for All Within Planetary Boundaries: published in Nature”
We apply a top-down approach that distributes shares of each planetary boundary among nations based on current population (a per capita biophysical boundary approach). While the environmental justice literature emphasizes the need for differentiated responsibilities in practice, a per capita approach allows us to explore what quality of life could be universally achieved if resources were distributed equally.

U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Richard Benedick: “A global warming treaty [Kyoto] must be implemented even if there is no scientific evidence to back the [enhanced] greenhouse effect.”

Christine Stewart, Former Canadian Minister of the Environment, told editors and reporters of the Calgary Herald: “No matter if the science of global warming is all phony…climate change it provides the greatest opportunity to bring about justice and equality in the world.”

Former Soviet Union President Mikhail Gorbachev: “The threat of environmental crisis will be the international disaster key to unlock the New World Order.”

Former President Jacques Chirac of France: “For the first time, humanity is instituting a genuine instrument of global governance, one that should find a place within the World Environmental Organization which France and the European Union would like to see established.”

War and Politics Behind Mass Displacement in Africa, Not Climate Change – UCL

A report from a new study conducted by University College London’s may cause a stir in the climate scaremongering industry. German Scientist Confims Climate Change Ia A Politically Motivated Scam

Even as the inbred idiot Prince Charles was babbling to a hand picked audience about the skid marks in his underpants being caused by Climate Change, a somewhat more scientifically literate person, Dr. Friedrich Karl Ewert, a retired geologist and data computation expert, has confirmed what those of us dubbed ‘climate deniers’ have been telling you for years …
