Yesterday the presidential candidate for the Democratic Party Joe Biden was allowed to leave his basement for a “campaign event” in Pittsburgh.
“Covid has taken this year, just since the outbreak, has taken more than 100 year, look, here’s, the lives, it’s just, when you think about it.”
As Caitlin Johnstone sarcastically commented:
It’s a good thing Obama intervened to coalesce the party against Bernie Sanders during the primaries or else they might have nominated an unelectable candidate.
During his speech Joe Biden rejected accusation that – if elected – he would implement policies that most Democrats favor:
“I am not banning fracking,” Joe Biden says in his speech in Pittsburgh. “Let me say that again. I’m not banning fracking, no matter how many times Donald Trump lies about me.”A pro-Trump super PAC has aired ads in Pennsylvania falsely claiming Biden wants to ban fracking.
It is not the first tome Dementia Joe has been incoherent of course, in fact by his standards these mumbled ramblings are almost lucid. Take for example his flip flopping position on China:
During a June campaign speech in Iowa, Biden said:
“We are in a competition with China. We need to get tough with China. They are a serious challenge to us, and in some areas a real threat. And every single step that Donald Trump is taking is only exacerbating the challenge.
“While Trump is tweeting, China is making massive investments in technologies of the future. While Trump is name-calling, China is building roads, bridges, and high-speed rail. […]
“China is pressing its advantage all over the world. So you bet I’m worried about China — if we keep following Trump’s path.”
However, just one month earlier, Biden had a “slightly” different view.
“China is going to eat our lunch? Come on, man. They can’t even figure out how to deal with the fact that they have this great division between the China Sea and the mountains in the east — I mean the west.
“They can’t figure out how they’re going to deal with the corruption that exists within the system. They’re not bad folks, folks. But guess what? They’re not competition for us.”
What is really amazing is that the US Democrats are prepared to run this poor, demented old guy as a candidate for the most powerful job on the planet.
Somewhere over the past fifty years western civilisation has gone horribly wrong.
