American sports teams are still insistent on embracing the Cultural Marxist Critical Race Theory of “Black Lives Matter” in spite of plunging TV audience ratings for both free-to-air and pay-to-view broadcast games. Investors who put big money into the teams and advertisers who have paid big money to buy time in the numerous intervals must be crapping themselves as audiences demonstrate their objection to the far left mantra spewed by every virtue-signaling celebrity and white liberal politician in the hopes of gaining a few more likes from whichever mob of social media screechers are ‘trending’ this week.
Somewhat late in the day maybe, after repeated embarrassing displays of sub, ission and servility to the terrorist organisation behind the burning and looting of American cities, the English Premier League has suddenly found the tersticular fortitude to say what every freeborn man and woman should, “I kneel before nobody,” and drop its support for BLM (with capital letters).
As The Guardian reports, Premier League footballers are to continue their support for anti-racism on the pitch but will no longer be associated with Black Lives Matter.
Policies put forward by the overtly political organisation, including the defunding of police forces, subsequently proved uncomfortable for the league. The chief executive, Richard Masters, was forced to justify the endorsement in front of a DCMS select committee and told MPs:
“We’re drawing a clear distinction between a moral cause and a political movement. Discrimination in any form, anywhere, is wholly unacceptable and No Room For Racism makes our zero-tolerance stance clear. “We will not stand still on this important issue and we will continue to work with our clubs, players and partners to address all prejudiced behaviour.” Masters said.
Though since the killing of George Floyd in May this year triggers the wave of anti – racist activism, mainsteam media have spun the violent protests, rioting and looting as a spontaneous outburst of anger at police harassment of black people and “systemic racism” in western societies, it has now become clear that black Lives Matter is not a spontaneous grassroots uprising but the work of a well organised and well funded political movement dedicated to destroying free societies. By their own definition they are enemies of the state.
Former Stoke City player Karl Henry distanced himself from the movement after the league restarted in June, tweeting:
“I think the majority of the UK have now had enough of this organisation. A new inclusive and politically-neutral anti-racism movement to follow and get behind is much needed.“
Conservative MP Ben Bradley had previously urged the Premier League to remove BLM from shirts, pointing out that the movement was sowing division over the issue of racism.
No Room for Racism is a campaign run by the Premier League with the support of other English footballing bodies and the anti-discrimination group Kick It Out. Launched in 2019, its aim is to eliminate racial discrimination from the sport both in stadiums and online.
This blog deplores racism (as anyone who has met Ian’s girlfriend will know,) but we have also believed that the wankerati (sports stars, political commentators, media celebs, pop singers, actors etc.) would do better to stick to entertaining us or reporting on world events rather than making idiots of themselves by supporting terrorist groups intent on destroying out culture and society.
People who are not part of the wankerati are not stupid, they know their oen minds. Most object to being called racist but understand you don’t have to kiss the arse of every person of colour you meet in order to prove you are not racist. We have a social obligation to treat people of ethnic minority groups exactly as we would people who can trace their families back to before the Norman Conquest. But if you are one of those lefties who believe we should make specially privileged groups of some ethnic minorities are just CUNTS.
