Thousands of protesters, incesnsed at the government’s latest extension of lockdown measures and the Labour opposition’s calls for even tougher fasciost restrictions, made their way to the capital capital on Saturday to call for an end to coronavirus lockdowns and restrictions on businesses in the UK, which, they claim, is turning into a form of fake science led “tyranny”.

In an exclusive video, made for a conservative / libertarian alt_news website, protesters can be seen and heard seen singing: “I would rather be a human than a slave”, “We are the 99 per cent”, and “You can shove your New World Order up your arse”.

The protest, dubbed a ‘Stop the New Normal’ march by organisers, the anti-lockdown group Stand Up X, was one of the largest protests to date against the government’s coronavirus which began with the first lockdowns in March. More significantly perhaps, it came at the end of a week that saw Greater Manchester mayor, “The King In The North”, Andy Burnham lead a rebellion against the government by saying his city would refuse to comply with the latest batch of restrictions. Burnham’s protest is now spreading with civic leaders in Liverpool, Sheffield, Leeds / bradford and Newcastle as well as a number of smaller cities and large towns getting on board with the anti – government action.

Protests are banned under social distancing regulations of course, but the protest and other acts of civil disobedience were inevitable as the latest restrictions imposed on the people of Northern England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Scotland, as well as the introduction of a ‘tier system’ by Prime Minister Boris Johnson in England, in which local regions and cities are placed under lockdown if spikes in coronavirus “cases” are recorded.

At around 4 pm the police in London began using tactics to split the protest into separate groups and made at least 18 arrests in Trafalgar Square and on Westminster Bridge.

One woman told Breitbart London: “I’m so angry, all these police that are storming in, they’re going to lose their pensions. They’re supposed to be protecting us, they’re not, this is tyranny.”

Most disturbing event of the afternoon was watching as cops stood off while Black Lives Matter protestors gathered in violation of the same rules as the Stand Up X supporters were being baton charged for. All we learned from this exercise is how effective the police can bein dealing brutally with dissent groups that are not funded by Marxist billionaire psychopaths with names like Soros, Gates and Zuckerberg.

So once again the police stand off as BLM protestors blatantly ignore the law, but steam in against protestors opposed to the fascitic lockdown measure imposed on law abiding citizens, but … The lead officer for the Metropolitan Police’s response to the protest, Commander Ade Adelekan … Well I think we can all guess where his sympathies lie.
2100 years ago Marcus Tullius Cicero said that in a civilised society, “There can only be one law and it must apply equally to everybody.” Time our leaders were reminded of that?

The police have made a very big mistake by abandoning traditional policing by consent in favour of becoming state enforcers. Not only have they lost all credibility as a law enforcement agency and become recognised as a politicat police fore more interested in suppressing dissent and free speech than maintaining law and order, they will soon discover how much more unpleasant policing by brute force and oppression is, especially when the people they are oppressing start to hit back. We are many, they are few. .

Ultimately, it is the police that are to blame for this tyranny because if they refused to enforce the governments diktats then they would go nowhere!

A summary of the efternoons events appears to suggest that the Pakistani Mayor of London, had a word with the sapphic Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, who in turn had a word with the Nigerian Metropolitan Police Commander who instructed the police to go in hard and disperse the peaceful demonstrators.

Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden has the right strategy in campaigning from his basement, staying mostly out of public view to avoid exposing his cognitive deterioration and his bad ideas.

If only far-left activists could have done the same, staying in their mothers’ basements until after election day, Stealthy Joe might just be able to glide to victory. He might have become president without really having to show voters whether he can coherently utter an unscripted sentence or offer a platform beyond “Trump is evil.”

Luckily for President Donald Trump, the woke mobs have been more active and visible than ever. Americans are getting a chance to see more and more what the woke brigades are about, and in this case, to know them is not to love them. Voters also can’t help but notice how the cowards who run the party are trying to condone, ignore or deny away the reality of what’s happening in the streets.

It’s gone so far that this week’s rioting in Kenosha, Wisconsin, escalated to the point that CNN host Don Lemon sounded the alarm Tuesday night, warning that Biden will lose votes in November if he doesn’t stand up to rioters. “This is a blind spot for Democrats,” Lemon said. “I think Democrats are ignoring this problem or hoping that it will go away. And it’s not going to go away.”

A Pew Research Center poll published this week concluded that violent crime is a major issue according to 59% of voters (almost as much as coronavirus): 74% of Republicans and 46% of Democrats. But during the DNC, held after the poll was already out, the issue wasn’t addressed at all. Democrats talked about police violence, but not riot violence.

Another sign that things are changing came from a Zogby Analytics poll, Trump’s job approval numbers are now at record high levels. Polls -and pollsters- can be biased, and so can the press quoting them, but to see three in a row, Reuters/Ipsos, Rasmussen, Zogby, all reporting similar movement, may still be significant.

Buoyed by blacks and independent voters, as well as urban dwellers shocked by the Black Lives Matter protest violence raging in some cities, President Trump’s approval rating has hit a new high, according to a survey heavy with minority voters. Kenosha was hit by violent unrest after a video emerged showing a police officer firing several shots at close range into an African-American man’s back.

Jacob Blake is currently in serious condition at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee as of early Monday morning.

The fact that Blake had walked away from police and attempted to reach inside his vehicle before he was shot didn’t seem to matter to BLM protesters, who almost immediately gathered at the scene of the shooting.

While daily rioting over the death of George Floyd back in May (yes it was really that long ago,) continues in Chicago, Portland, Seattle and many other US cities while new waves of civil unrest are erupting around the USA, the state of Minnesota was forced to declare a “state of peacetime emergency” in Minneapolis last night after violent protests erupted following the death of a local black man.

Violence erupted once again last night, with video showing angry “demonstrators” burning down businesses, rioting and looting, following “misinformation” about the killing of a black homicide suspect. Rumors spread online said he had been killed in a police shooting, but really, he shot himself in the head, according to surveillance video.

Before watching the video below, be advised: It depicts a man shooting himself in the head, before a nearby officer rushes to his aid. Then off camera, bystanders can be heard accusing the cops of shooting the now-dead victim. We feel justified in reposting this horrific scene as it clearly shows that contrary to what is being claimed by political activists, the police did not shoot this murder suspect.

Meanwhile in another incident that sparked to protests and has gone unreported by mainstream media a suspect has been charged for the murders of a 21-year-old aspiring school teacher and her stepfather after a car crash in Georgetown County, South Carolina, Breitbart reports.

Ty Sheem Ha Sheem Walters, III, a 23-year-old from Moncks Corner, South Carolina, was charged with two counts of murder after allegedly shooting and killing 21-year-old Laura Ashley Anderson and her stepfather, 45-year-old Charles Nicholas Wall.

Walters also allegedly shot a third person, Paul McConnell, before bludgeoning him in the face with his firearm. McConnell survived the attack while Anderson and Wall both died after being taken to a nearby hospital.

According to deputies with the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, Walters was involved in an altercation with Walls and Anderson after a car crash. That was when Walters allegedly shot and killed Walls and Anderson, and injured McConnell.

Walls’ wife and Anderson’s mother, Kimberly Wall, said at a bond hearing on Wednesday that Walters should not be released on bail.

“He has taken two of my best friends three miles from my house,” Walls said. “I have other family and I’m just scared for all of us. It has destroyed my life and my family. I don’t want him to get out.”

Jenna Johnson, a relative, told WBTW that Walls and Anderson “meant so much to so many people.”

“Anyone who’s ever met or known Laura or Nick, they knew two of the most wonderful people,” Johnson said. “My niece was simply a gorgeous person inside and out. She had a very positive bubbly personality. She was starting school next week to become a teacher just like her mom.”

Walters is currently being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center.

Shock & dismay in UK as BBC considers excluding patriotic hits from Proms ‘over BLM protests’

When news leaked out of taxpayer funded British broadcaster The BBC that certain patriotic anthems, including Rule Britannia and Land of Hope and Glory, which are traditionally performed on the last night of BBC Proms concert season, may be axed from this year’s program.

The Proms or Promenade concerts to use the formal name are a season of musical performances given every summer in London’s Albert Hall, culminating with the tumuluous and tongue in cheek Last Night, a concert that in contrast with much of the highbrow stuff performed throughout the season, is a light hearted celebration of music and its ability to break down barriers and bring people together. It is as much a fancy dress party for 5000 people, who in disparate small groups are there to enjoy themselves. As well as some lighter classical pieces the music performed inclusdes bawdy folk songs, jaunty sea shanties and a chance for the audience to sing along with patriotic songs of the past. This audience participation is one of the most popular features of the concert and closes the season with the songs Rule Britannia, Land Of Hope And Glory, Jerusalem and God Save The Queen.

And nobody takes it seriously. I regularly watch the televised performance and in any year, as the audience wave national flags and sing Rule Britannia, a song about the British Navy’s dominance of international trade routes, people wave national flags, not just The Union Flag, the Cross of St. George, The Scottish Saltire or the Red Dragon of Wales, but The Stars and Stripes, Canada’s Maple Leaf, the tricolours of France, Germany and Italy, Australian Flags, the flags of India, Pakistan, Japan and other Asian nations, African national flags and others. And when the medlody shifts to the rousing Land of Hope and Glory those flags still wave. Land of Hope and Glory is usually interpreted as the ultimate British patriot song but maybe those people singing their hearts out and waving their own national flags are interpreting it a little differently, as I always have:

Land of Hope and Glory, mother of the free,
How shall we extol thee, who are born of thee.
Wider still and wider, let thy bounds be set,
God who made the mighty make thee mightier yet.

Well we all hope the land we call our home will be a symbolic parent of free people, and there is nothing offensive about asking how shall we praise this land. By war and conquest, or by spreading the ideals oif tolerance and openmindedness to promote peacefuk coexistence? Wider still and wider let thy bounds be set? Surely that can only be intended to glorify imperialism, you might suggest. But it can, can it not, be taken as a reference toour cultural horizons. Let’s learn from the whole world and encourage them to learn from us. And the last line? Well I don’t do God, but though this has been interpreted as a reference to military and economic might, it could also be taken as a reference to cultural strength, make us a stronger community so that we lose our natural fear of ‘otherness’ and preserve our own culture and values while respecting other, but not surrendering to the unreasonable demands of extremists.

It only takes a little creative thinking to render that short lyric inclusive and likely only to offend those who are determined to be offended on behald of the majority who simply do not care.

The most genuinely troubling of the patriotic songs that, though patriotism has been unfashionable for at least fifty years, have become an integral part of each year’s Promenade Concerts’ grand finale, Rule Britannia(sic) is the most overtly patriotic of the Last Night favourites though the phrase ‘Britons never ,never, never shall be slaves does not relate in any way to the Atlantic slave trade even though the song originates from the decades at which that trade was at its height. Correctly titled Rule, Britannia! the comma is all important especially now as linguistics professors in the more ‘woke’ university faculties are claiming grammar and punctuation are racist and oppressive. Composed by Thomas Arne in 1744 for a musical pageant on the reign of King Alfred, often mistakenly credited with uniting the various kingdoms of England under a single ruler, but still one of our greatest historical figures because he fought off who fought off the Viking threat by building up the English navy and extended the influence of Christianity to the pagan kingdoms of The Danelaw (the northern part of England ruled by Scandinavian Kings.

The belligerent lyrics touched a nerve because they chimed with the aspirations of mid-18th-century Britain, which was poised to become a mercantile empire based on sea power and was also constantly at loggerheads with France. The official excuse for dropping this feature is that COVID 19, Social distanccing and blah blah means there will be no audience to sing along, but when sports events have been played out in empty stadia, the BBC had no problem about dubbing the soundtrack with audience noise from past events.

Part of the reasoning is that coronavirus restrictions significantly limit the size of the orchestra and the number chorus singers that will be able to safely gather at the Royal Albert Hall, the newspaper explained.

But there is also a feeling among some of the organizers that songs from the glory days of the British Empire would be inappropriate in a year when Black Lives Matter protests are rocking nations on both sides of the Atlantic. In particular, Dalia Stasevska, the principal guest-conductor from Finland, is reportedly a strong supporter of the BLM cause, who is “keen to modernise the evening’s repertoire”.

WTF right has a Black Lives Matter supporter to interfere in a British cultural event. This person should be told to stick to the job they have been hired for. Start bringing politics, particularly the toxic politics of the far left into The Proms and in a few years there will be no proms. And it will not be COVID – 19 keeping paying punters away but the sheer boredom of a program selected for political correctness rather than musical excellence.

Report: Iowa University Instructor Issues Warning That Not Supporting BLM Is ‘Grounds For Dismissal’

An Iowa State University instructor has issued a warning to students that if they express opinion that isn’t in line with support for Black Lives Matter protesters, or if they hold pro-life opinions they could be dismissed from the institution.

“No arguments against gay marriage, abortion, Black Lives Matter, etc.”

The Young America’s Foundation (YAF) raised a red flag over the warning on a syllabus by Chloe Clark, in which she wrote “Any instances of othering that you participate in intentionally (racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, sorophobia, transphobia, classism, mocking of mental health issues, body shaming, etc.) in class are grounds for dismissal from the classroom.”

Clark added “The same goes for any papers/projects. You cannot choose any topic that takes at its base that one side doesn’t deserve the same basic human rights as you do (i.e. no arguments against gay marriage, abortion, Black Lives Matter, etc.)”

The Daily Caller notes that the YAF was alerted to the warning through its Campus Bias Tip Line.

When contacted by the Daily Caller, the university said that Clark’s syllabus warning is “inconsistent with the university’s standards and its commitment to the First Amendment rights of students.”

A statement by the University noted that “After reviewing this issue with the faculty member, the syllabus has been corrected to ensure it is consistent with university policy,”

“Moreover, the faculty member is being provided additional information regarding the First Amendment policies of the University,” it added.

“It is alarming that a faculty member would think openly declaring her intent to silence dissent is in line with the practice of education or the Constitution,” YAF spokesperson Spencer Brown told the Daily Caller.

The development is part of a trend of the erosion of freedom of expression and opinion on campuses.

Indeed, a recent survey conducted by College Fix found that a majority of conservative students say they ‘self censor’ around others so as not to offend or upset leftists.

“With the current political climate, do you expect to self-censor yourself in class this semester so your professors or peers don’t take offense at your ideas?” the survey asked.

A total of 54 percent of conservatives said they would indeed keep their political views to themselves for this reason.

On the flip side, only 15% of those who identified as Democrats said they would temper their political opinions so as not to cause friction.

A survey conducted last year also found that almost three quarters of conservative students say they are withholding their political views both in class and from their written work for fear that they will be downgraded by leftist professors.

The idea of free speech and freedom of expression has become so warped on campuses that leftist college students believe it’s their ‘right’ to deny others their First Amendment.

Students who have publicly professed conservative opinions have been subjected to investigation and punishment by professors and college officials.

In addition, black and native American students at several colleges and universities are increasingly demanding action against professors and academics who have expressed opinions not directly in line with their own.

Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia is to mandate that all of its students take a “Race and Ethnicity Requirement” course from next year, following consistent demands from the university’s black student group.

A senior researcher at Michigan State University was effectively fired after sharing facts from a study conducted last year that conclusively proved there is no widespread racial bias in police shootings.

At Loyola University New Orleans, students demanded the firing of professor Walter Block over his opinions on slavery, even though he vehemently opposes it.

At UCLA, a professor was suspended for rejecting requests to allow black students to take final exams at a later date as a response to the death of George Floyd and black lives matter protests. Accounting lecturer Gordon Klein was punished for saying that students should not be treated differently according to the colour of their skin.

Meanwhile, other academics have been lauded and rewarded for promoting opinions in line with the woke mob that even Twitter removed for being hateful.
