Racism is at best deplorable, to regard any human being as inferior simply because of their etnic or cultural background is the worst kind of snobbery, there are inferior people in every race and culture and as Martin Luther King said, we should judge people on the quality of their character rather than the colour of their skin.
These days of course, racism is not just a question of basic decency but a criminal matter, ‘hate crime’ carries tougher sentences than theft or deception in some nations, and with the way the interpretations of what constitutes racism are changing, it might just be easier to declare yourself a hate-filled bigot, do your jail time and be done with it. For example, snigger (sly or conspiratorial, suppressed laughter,) was until quite recently not exactly an innocent word, but in no way racist.
Now in order to say snigger you must use the racist word embedded within it and so must be a racist. One might as well say all citizens of Scunthorpe are cunts.
Nobody is safe from the Politically Correct Thought Police. Take poor little Justin Trudeau, Canada’s ultra liberal leader who is definitely is not a racist, and spends every waking moment telling the world through his virtue signalling private life and his politically correct style of governig he’s not racist, most definitely not.
Or to be exact, Justin was not racist, but as been outed as having been retrospectively racist by doing something that was not racist in 2001 but is now in 2001, In that year he was photographed at an Arabian Nights fancy party wearing racist makeup which we now know as ‘brownface,’ but back then was apparently known as ‘a little bit of fun.’
Well, it turns out he was having quite a lot of fun, because hot on the tail of the ‘brownface’ controversy were more pictures of the Canadian Prime Minister in ‘blackface.’ How many times has he done this? Actually he can’t remember. Seriously.
This would be awkward for any politician except Donald Trump, but Trudeau defines himself by being ‘woker than woke’ so it;s worse for him. In response, he’s resorting to the surge tactics perfected by George W Bush during the Iraq War, although instead of a surge in the number of troops, he is surging his wokeness and blaming ‘white privilege’ for his indiscretions. I wonder whether it was his ‘white privilege’ that persuaded him to keep his racist party days quiet while he was asking voters to elect him in 2015?
Another example is the BBC presenter Naga Munchetty (a brown person rather than someone who wears brown face, found herself in breach of its editorial guidelines after she expressed anger at Donald Trump telling four ethnic minority congresswomen to ‘go back’ to their own countries.
Munchetty said on air that she was furious and regarded the US President’s comments as “embedded in racism.” The BBC decided she had not been impartial enough and gave her a telling off. Only then, 150 ethnic minority broadcasters wrote an angry letter to the corporation saying Munchetty should not be required to be impartial about issues of racism and accused the Beeb of “racially discriminatory treatment” of its presenter.
In fact the four Congresswomen have repeated attacked America, called for violence against white people (the extermination of all white males,) and urged people to break the law, saying white laws to not apply to people of colour. This is not how people should behave towards a nation that has welcomed them to its shore but is standard behaviour “back where they came from,” places where murdering your wife because she cooked a lousy dinner.
So, if the likes of Canada’s Woke Wonder get tripped up by these insane rules of liberalism (which by definition should not have rules, only guidelines, then what chance is there for the rest of us? Perhaps the most fun to watch at the moment is the BBC constantly trying, and failing, to disguise its liberal bias while covering up the innate racism of it’s beloved ethnic minority presenters
