French president Emmanuel Macron faces crushing defeat in European election (Picture: Express )
The rise of Emmanual Macron and his Euro-federalist party, though a temporary aberration in French politics, has forced a realignment of the traditional parties of government, conservative Les Républicains (Gaullists) and the Socialist Party (PS), and they could both become bit-part players in the two biggest blocs in the chamber. This would mean fewer influential posts for lawmakers and far less say in Parliament over crucial decisions shaping Europe.
The Socialist Party is polling at just five percent, and if it falls below that threshold in the election due in May, it will not have any MEPs in the next European Parliament. An official from the French delegation of the centre-left Socialists and Democrats (S&D) bloc in the legislature told Politico: “The risk is that the left is so deeply divided that there won’t be any French person to represent it in the Parliament.
According to forecasts from Politico, the Socialists would drop to just five seats in the next Parliament, having secured 13 spaces during the last election in 2014.
Christine Revault d’Allonnes-Bonnefoy, a Socialist MEP who has been touted as a possible candidate to lead her party in the upcoming election, said: “We are going to lose a lot of MEPs. What we’re facing is a catastrophe. Right now, we are doing the job, we’re getting on with things. It’s not enough, but I don’t have any magic wand to change things.”
Centre-left parties in France have become fragmented recently, with MEPs such as Isabelle Thomas, Guillaume Balas and Edouard Martin quitting PS to join “Générations-s” – the left-wing party created by former Socialist presidential candidate Benoît Hamon.
Other MEPs including Emmanuel Maurel have joined France Unbowed – the far-left party led by former MEP Jean-Luc Mélenchon.
In an interview with French magazine Le Point last month, Françoise Grossetête said: “Their call to reform Europe has become a mantra, and shows the total ignorance of everything that has been carried out in the last five years when the right has led the governing majority in Europe.”
If current projections prove accurate, the Republicans would have a smaller delegation in the European Parliament than Hungary’s ruling Fidesz party, while the once dominant Socialists would bring in the same number of seats as Denmark’s Social Democrats.
This reduction in French influence would be a huge blow to France, which for years has seen its MEPs push for progress on issues deemed in their country’s interests, including a change to the rules on EU citizens working temporarily in another of the bloc’s countries.
According to Politico’s forecasts, the Republicans are set to win 11 seats in the election, but this is still down from the 20 spots five years ago. What is not being mentioned by mainstream media is that Rassemblement National, the Eurosceptic, nationalist, anti immigration party led by Marine Le Pen look set to make massive gains.
A Facebook engineer whose controversial memo on the company’s “political monoculture” that is “intolerant” of conservatives, had quit his job according to Business Insider.
Engineer Brian Amerige sent an internal message to co-workers on Wednesday, writing:
“These problems can be solved — just not by me, not any more, at least. I care too deeply about our role in supporting free expression and intellectual diversity to even whole-heartedly attempt the product stuff anymore, and that’s how I know it’s time to go.”
Amerige goes on to say that he is starting a company with a friend “at the intersection of applied philosophy (epistemology, specifically) and technology.”
In August, Amerige – who identifies politically as an objectivist – came under fire for an internal memo denouncing the Silicon Valley’s “intolerant” culture. “We are a political monoculture that’s intolerant of different views … we claim to welcome all perspectives, but are quick to attack — often in mobs — anyone who presents a view that appears to be in opposition to left-leaning ideology,” he wrote.
His memo led to the creation of “FB’ers for Political Diversity,” a group of hundreds of conservative employees who came together to protest the company’s liberal bias. Posters promoting the group began to appear across the company’s campus, while debates over Facebook’s political bias have broken out between employees.
Britain’s Conservative-propped-up-by-Northern-Irish-DUP government survived a move to strengthen parliament’s power to intervene if no divorce deal is reached with Brussels by the end of this year. A rebellion by pro-EU MPs was headed off after they were promised a “meaningful vote” on the outcome.
British Prime Minister Theresa May’s position would have neen under threat had she not won the vital parliamentary vote on Wednesday. The victory will allow her government to offer lawmakers a take-it-or-leave-it decision on any final Brexit deal.
MPs voted by 319 to 303 to reject an amendment to the EU (Withdrawal) Bill, which sets the legal framework for the UK to leave the European Union.
May offered parliament a vote on the final terms of any deal with Brussels, but has rejected what she sees as any attempt to undermine the chances of a strong Brexit deal. Those opposed to a hard Brexit wanted the option to return negotiators to talks with the EU, rather than crashing out with no trade deal at all — something the government says will weaken its position in the eyes of Brussels.
When Emmanuel Macron came from nowhere to be elected President of France
following a landslide victory a year ago, he pissed people off almost immediately by
telling journalists he would not answer their questions because they were not smart enough to understand his thoughts. Shortly after that he declared he would rule “in the style of a Roman god,” and compared himself to Jupiter, the Roman equivalent of Zeus or Odin. It’s no wonder then that just a year later the wheels have come off the bandwagon and the man, who was once seen as the saviour and deliverer of his country, a symbol of hope and renewal, seems to have turned into a source of mirth, widely ridiculed by the French for his grandiose posturing and inept efforts to deliver on his promises.
In early May 2017, Macron won the French presidential elections with 66.1 percent of the vote, one of the biggest landslide results in the history of the French Fifth Republic. A month later, his party, ‘Republic on the Move’ (LREM), scored another impressive victory by winning a majority of seats in the French parliament. It should be noted that these results were largely due to a stitch up, with France close to ruin after the disastrous socialist policies of former president Francois Holland, and Marine le Pen’s Front National party topping the polls only months before the election, the socialists and Gaullists (conservatives) combined to advise supporters to vote Macron, because Le Pen had to be stopped and the crumbling dream of a federal European superstate preserved at all costs.
Under the boy wonder’s stewardship it is now becoming clear those costs will be far greater than anyone imagined. Macron, while supporting the USA’s military interventions in the middle east, has thrown his weight behind more immigration and more Islamification for Europe, and following strong performances by Eurosceptic parties in German, Austrian and Italian elections, combined with growing resistance to the authoritarian attitude of Brussels towards member states, has called for acceleration of the push to political integration of the EU member states.
Some of Macron’s reforms so far have attempted to revive the French economy and increase the country’s competitive advantage on the international stage by targeting labor laws and social benefits. However measures such as a public sector pay freeze and making it easier for workers to be fired while also capping redundancy payouts have been disastrous for Marcon’s standing in popularity polls. The changes have also led to Marcon being dubbed The President for The Rich. The benefits and subsidies system is seen as the foundation of France’s social and economic structure, and is guarded by powerful trade unions.
The reforms were also aimed at reducing the country’s high unemployment rate but as Macron insists on speeding up the admission of unskilled, illiterate migrants from the third world, it seems he is trying to solve one unemployment problem and simultaneously importing another.
A former Goldman Sachs investment banker, which was always going to ensure the left treated his every move with suspicion, Macron’s policies also angered students to the extent that they blocked several educational facilities across France, including the famous Sorbonne, in response to the government’s plans to introduce admission criteria and rank young people who apply to universities.
His own party, however, which he formed only a year before the election as a stop Le Pen option when it became clear the traditional parties could not win, still accuse Macron of infringing upon worker’s rights and doing favors for corporate “bosses” at the cost of others.
Marine Le Pen’s bid to emulate the Brexit and Trump shocks and in the face of adverse polling figures win election a risked a setbacks President of France received a potentially damaging blow on Friday (April 28) when her deputy, who is currently leading the Front National (FN) party leaving Le Pen to focus on her campaign was forced to step down in order to defend himself against charges that he shares the views of Holocaust deniers.
As it becomes clear the Cameron Clowns and Euronazis of Brussels between them can only offer lies, misrepresentations and scaremongering to support their emotional desire to keep Britain in the EU and then make us part of a Federal European Superstate esxtending into Africa and the middle east, a spilt appears to be developing in the Sottish National Party as many senior figures think an ‘in’ vote would see Scotland regegated to irrelevance in Greater Germany.
We all know our countries are run by idiots, but how do we prove it? One way is to observe someone and record how many times they do something that will undo s
omething else they just did. Here are some examples:
Some diligent digging by The Daily Caller (link below) exposes the totally unsurprising information that Google’s new, much vaunted fact-checking algorithm, which displays “fact-checks” next to allegedly disputed stories in search results (for the benefit of stupid liberals and lefties who can’t think for themselves, almost exclusively identifies stories in conservative media. So while “Trump plans to go after Beos for wrecking High Street,” (which is true) will be censored while Clinton funded researchers find evidence Trump is a shape shifting lizard from an alien race of wannabe galactic overlords will get the thumbs up.
All in all it has been a lousy year so far for Google (and as it couild not have happened to a more desrving bunch of corporate fascists, let’s hope it continues: information released as part of the preliminaries to the James Damore led class action lawsuit against his former employers for discriminating against conservatives has revealed an atmosphere of extreme progressive bias at the company, (how the hell else does anyone think google execs. were invited to sit in on Obama administration cabinet meetings in The White House?), and the political shaming and intimidation of conservatives and white males. Now there is evidence that the company’s hyper-partisan bias is trickling down into its product.
And let’s not forget that the name of James Damore came to prominence when he exposed the hypocrisy in adversising their politically correct, egalitarian hiring policy when the techical and executive is heavily biased towards men. Damore cited scientific studies to show that men are better equippped for such jobs in spite of claims from the screeching feminist lobby to the contrary.
The latest setback for Google is far more than just an internal problem that leaked however, it shows that beyond being a bunch of fascistic hypocrites, the corporation now seek to manipulate the democratic process. When you search for a conservative news site, for example, Breitbart, Google will show you a list of topics that the site has focused on, as well as a tab for “reviewed claims.” These are stories that have been reviewed by “fact-checkers” like Snopes and Politifact both of which have been exposed as sites run by supporters of the Democratic Party and of having shown political bias in their published results.
Like Google, these so-called “impartial fact-checkers” claim to be unbiased, but have a history of partisanship. Snopes, for example, is staffed with rabid anti-Trumpers, while Politifact is funded by a Clinton Foundation donor and routinely comes to empirically dubious conclusions that typically favor Democrats.
Not all news sites have a “reviewed claims” tab under their name, however. Some just have “writes about,” with no reviewed claims.
Since Trump’s vicory in the 2016 election wild accusations that he collaborated with the Russian government have been flung about none of which have been supported by a shred of credible evidence. This week the strongly liberal buzzfeed online news site ran a story that Trump ordered his lawyer to lie to Congress, left leaning media went into meltdown …

Fake News is a phrase that is never far from the lips or fingertips of journalists and television pundits who are supposed to keep us informed about what is happening in the world. But how reliable are those who have appointed themselves the guardians of journalistic integrity. Not very reliable it seems, if The Guardian, a highbrow UK newspaper is anything to go by.
Google Now Has Access To Millions Of Patient’s Health Records
A controversial deal between tech giant Google and the National Health Service (NHS) will allow artificial intelligence units access to 1.6 million confidential medical records. Since 2014, Google has partnered with several scientists in an attempt to understand human health, but a new report reveals the data gathering goes far beyond what was originally anticipated – well now there’s a surprise.
What The controllers have In Store For Your Future
If you thought the book Nineteen Eighty-four by George Orwell was something else—even possibly off the wall when written—wait until you learn what’s planned for us by the year 2025! George Orwell, in retrospect, seems to have been able to tap into some sort of future-time-machine or a “worm hole” in physics—what’s known as an “Einstein-Rosen bridge,” because much of what he wrote about has come to realization.
How Google Destroyed the Internet
The idea of the internet was that it would be a communications tool that freed information by making all public domain documents, libraries and archives accessible for everyone. Unfortunately the corporate monopoly men of Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon and Facebook and political control freaks had other ideas. They also understood the technolgy while the hippies and liberals ignored professionals warnings that internet systems would become a perfect toool of censorship.
Google a step closer to developing machines with human-like intelligence
Computers will have developed “common sense” within a decade and we could be counting them among our friends not long afterwards, one of the world’s leading AI scientists has predicted. Professor Geoff Hinton, who was hired by Google two years ago to help develop intelligent operating systems, said that the company is on the brink of developing algorithms with the capacity for logic, natural conversation and even flirtation.
Who Runs America? US Federal Trade Commission Takes Orders From Google
Barak Obama runs America surely, you might well be thinking. We would argue that no US President since Eisenhower has truly run the USA. But the latest revelation of how cosy the Obama Administration has become with corporate business, to the extent that government departments are taking instruction from Google will shock even the most cynical Americans
Google Meets White House Officials Every Week, Why?
We have been very suspicious for ten years of the way Google with such apparent ease achieved a dominant position in web search. How did it happen, did Google do something evil, did they invoke the powers of darkness in their meteoric rise. Or were there even darker forces at work, powering Google to a position in which their internet technologies could dominate global information flows? Here’s something cynics should read.
Cashless Society – The Resistance Begins Here
A seaside market town in Norfolk may be less than 100 miles from the world’s financial capital, London, , it may be the commercial centre of West Norfolk’ as the town website boasts, it may be home to 45,000 people — but there, unlike in London, cash is king.
EU taking on Google – Well One German Publisher Is
Those New World Order fanatics at The Guardian, bless them, seldom miss a trick when it comes to promoting the single European Superstate and the globalist agenda. Their latest misrepresentation is to try and make us feel the European Union is somehow protecting our freedoms even as the bureau rats of Brussels are taking them away.
Has Zuckerbugger Been Messing With Your Mind?
It has been revealed that Facebook has been collaborating with the US government and creepier fringes of the academic community in carrying out experiments to manipulate users emotions. “Facebook users have reacted angrily to a “creepy” experiment carried out by the social network and two American universities to manipulate their emotions.”
Pissed Off With Government/Microsoft/Google Online Spying? Be Completely Anonymous Online Not so long ago our biggest worry online was malware, virus software, trojans and worms plagued the internet cost many people a lot of time and worry. Since about a year ago everything has changed, protecting our digital privacy is the issue and the enemy is no longer spotty little nerds hunched over computers in dimly lit basements, but governments and major technology corporations.
Google Car Driverless Because No Sane Person Would Be Seen Dead In One
A few years ago Google boss Eric Schmidt said the company’s aim was to get as close to creepy as they could without crossing the line. Well they had crossed the line long before he said that. The latest Google wirdness is the much hyped driverless car. It looks as if it was designed by a five year old. On the other hand it might be the ideal car for paedophiles who want to go cruising for jailbait.
Reasons To keep Google Away From your Credit Card Information
I did not use Gmail a lot because although the mail got through, I started to be bombarded with targeted ads related to keywords used in my mail exchanges (they weren’t keywords as far as I was concerned, just conversation. That did not worry me much but the idea that Google were sharing my email content with the bastards throwing these ads at me did.
Don’t be Evil, Google Will Do It For You
Google have abandoned their “Don’t Be Evil motto. Good thing really, they are becoming more evil every day. The latest plans to integrate our brains with their servers may seem like a science fiction freaks wet dream, but these creepy nerds are serious …
Don’t Be Evil, That’s Our Job Is Google’s Real Motto

It is outrageous that many <a href="http://“>Conservative and Labour MPs, The Scottish National Socialists and the neo – fascist Illiberal Democrats still think they can overturn the referendum result and keep us in the European Union. These traitors are planning to show their contempt for the British people and for the principles of democracy by voting against the Second Reading of the European Union (Withdrawal) Bill – ostensibly on the grounds that it is unacceptable to have so-called Henry VIII powers in the Bill, giving ministers the authority to make law by secondary legislation, under statutory instrument without parliamentary scrutiny.
The use of these powers will be limited to situations where an EU law makes reference to another EU law or to an EU institution. Clearly, such references need to be removed from UK law. Another point to be taken into account is that MPs who want to keep us in Europe, and would therefore be likely to vote against any attempt to free us from EU laws, are rejecting the sovereignty of parliament and thereby breaking about a million laws. But betraying the nation and people of Britain is par for the course among globalists.
Why does anyone anyone think the traitor and war criminal Blair abolished the death penalty for treason?
It should be entirely acceptable for ministers to have the power to make the necessary changes without taking up valuable parliamentary time. Nevertheless, the Government needs to explain this with greater frequency and clarity. There is a danger many people will believe the shits who want to stab this country in the back.
Leaders of the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP) have made astonishing claim that Prime Minister Teresa May’s move to call an early General Election in June this year was done to pre-empt a series of by-elections that could be called following a police investigation into alleged electoral fraud. Accusing May and the Conservative government she leads of “putting party before country”, UKIP front man Paul Nuttall appeared to suggest an electoral fraud scandal and the ensuing disqualification of sitting members of The House of Commons could rob the government of its slender majority in parliament.
Mrs. May strongly denied she would call a snap election after being chosen, unopposed, as the Conservative leader following the resignation of David Cameron after he was humiliated when the country voted to leave the EU (Brexit). After parliament approved the invocation of the Article 50 Bill with a massive majority, with many of the unelected members of the House of Lords, along with a large section of Labour MPs, the Scottish Nationalists and Liberal Democrats along with a rebel faction in her own party promising they would prevent Brexit going ahead (in defiance of the democratic will,) The Prime minister today claimed she had “reluctantly” changed her mind.
Her U-turn also comes exactly a month after reports suggested Conservative Party figures were fearful of a series of by-elections that could be called after up to 20 of their MPs were alleged to have broken electoral law in the 2015 campaign, mostly in seats UKIP had a good chance of winning.
More than ten police forces have referred cases to the Crown Prosecution Service and lawyers are now considering whether to charge the MPs or their agents after a year long investigation.
“…The prospect of a slew of Tory-held by-elections caused by the seeming systematic breach of electoral law at the last election, predominantly in places where UKIP were pressing the Conservatives hard” could have influenced the decision to hold an election now, suggested Nuttall in a press statement.
Deputy UKIP leader Peter Whittle also said the decision was “utterly cynical”, adding: “But we’re having [a general election] now and my party is actually quite excited about it.” Speaking on the BBC’s Daily Politics, he said there was “no question” the Tories were acting out of self-interest.
With a referendum in Italy, ostensibly on constitutional reforms but perceived as a referendum on the leadership of the ruling elite, looming in November and the anti – globalisation, pro sovereignty Five Star Party growing in popularity all the time. Should the constitutional changes be voted down, and the against campaign is showing a comfortable lead in opinion polls at the moment, it will put a Quitaly in-out referendum, similar to the so called Brexit vote that kick off the process of Britain leaving the European Union, at the top of the agenda.
US Democratic Party presidential candidate Hillary Clinton launched a hysterical, irrational attack, filled with half truths and blatant lies, against the most prominent figure in the campaign to get Britain out of the EU (Brexit), UK Independence Party leader Nigel Farage, during a speech at a rally today. Mrs Clinton, responding to Farage’s address to a large and enthusiastic audience at a Donald Trump rally, may have been rattled at the prospect of having such a hihly effective campaigner in the rival camp …
Brussels went too far, they crossed the line in moving from an economic union to a political pan – European political empire. In the end it was a race as to which member state would quit first, Britain, Natherlands, Denmark or Italy. In the event it is Britain.
Is Brexit A Harbinger Of Doom For The ‘Experts’
The Brexit vote, the decision by a democratic majority in Britain to leave the European Union has sent shockwaves around the world. Not only does the EU now face a tsunami of departures, the usurpation of democracy by ‘experts’ ( technocrats ) has been challenged and exposed as a sham.
Unless the testicularly deficient politicians stand up for their nations he only thing that will halt the European Union’s push beyond Europe’s geographical borders to incorporate Asian, middle eastern and north African nations is war. Power is addictive and the bean counters of Brussels have ambitions far beyond Europe.
The Hypocrisy and Snobbery Of The Remain Campaign And The Antidote
When I had to defriend a Facebook contact because she was arguing in favour of the EU, it was not simply because I support Brexit that I had become pissed of with her, it was the snobbish and condescending way she dismissed supporters of LEAVE and their case. People are entitled to their opinion on the European Union, but they should check the ‘facts’ they post in support of their arguments.
After my short intro is a savage indictment by Brexit supporting Labour MP Kate Hoey of the way the Labour Party has abandoned the working class and is now trying to betray the party’s proud heritage and its roots in the industrial areas by taking Britain into an undemocratic, corporate controlled, capitalist friendly, elite dominated globalist control freak project.
Few of you were aware probably that there is an EU referendum vote in The Netherlands this week. As usual with anything negative about the EU barely a word has been printed in the topic in mainstream media and the silence from our notionally unbiased national broadcaster The Bolshevik Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has been deafening.
Europeans want us British to lead them out of Europe. Don’t be fooled by project fear, the European Union (aka the Euronazi Federal Superstate) is falling apart. There will not be chaos if we leave, there will be chaos if we stay.
Brexit would be the best result of Britain’s in / out referendum for both Britain and the EU i a Belgian professor who heads up the European Institute at the London School of Economics (LSE) has said.
OK, I know a lot of you think Boris is most accurately described by a word many people find offensive, but he’s put together a very good argument here on why we must leave the EU. Published in part here under ‘fair use’ terms and conditions, in the public interest …
David Cameron, who was apparently up all night trying to make other European leaders understand why his country needs a better deal in order to poersuade the prople it is a good idea stay in the EU. Unless Cameron gets what will enable him to sell the idea of surrendering national sovereignty to a Federal European Superstate ruled by a committee of unelected bureaucrats in to the British public he will not campaign for the UK to remain in the bloc
Austrian Chancellor Werner Faymann said at the E?U summit on British membership terms that the European Union wants to reach an agreement with the United Kingdom, but it is not prepared to compromise the banking union (financial integration) or the further integration of monetary union (UK being forced to abandon the pound join the Euro?) to achieve this goal.
Cameron’s EU Deal Worthless. It Can Be Vetoed In European Parliament?
Opinion polls show Britain is evenly divided on the question of whether to leave or remain in the EU, though it has been suggested up to 10 million other voters, many of them women, have yet to make a decision. How they cast their vote will shape the future of the world’s fifth largest economy and the EU itself. But what is really at stake is more important than economics …
