Erdogan Vows To Abandon Dollar, “Doesn’t Need Permission” To Buy Russian Missiles

Another nutty rant by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan got the week off to a good start. His ire was aimed as usual at the USA, this time he threatened that Ankara would abandon the US dollar in transactions with Russia and other nations, accusing the US of behaving like “wild wolves.”

“America behaves like wild wolves. Don’t believe them,” Erdogan told a business forum during the Turkey-Kyrgyzstan Business Forum in Kyrgyzstan, according to AFP.

Erdogan’s latest outburst is a further sign that he is taking Turkey away from the west and strengthening ties with Russia, China and Iran. It echoed the dedollarization call from Russia’s deputy foreign minister Serkey Ryabkov, saying said that Turkey country was in negotiations with Russia over non-dollar trade. As we have reported elsewhere China has made the most significant move in this currency war by opening a maket for traded oil futures on the Shanghair stock exchange, thus challenging the supremacy of the US dollar in the world’s most traded commodity.

Using the dollar only damages us. We will not give up. We will be victorious,” Erdogan said, addressing a meeting attended by Kyrgyz and Turkish businessmen as well as government officials.

On August 24, Moscow said it would respond to Washington’s latest sanctions by accelerating efforts to abandon the American currency in trade transactions: “The time has come when we need to go from words to actions, and get rid of the dollar as a means of mutual settlements, and look for other alternatives,” said Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov.

Erdogan further stirred the pot by saying that Ankara doesn’t need permission from anyone to purchase Russian S-400 missile systems, just days after the US once again warned the country against buying the highly advanced air-defense system.

“We have made S-400 deal with Russia. Someone is offended by it. We don’t need permission from anybody,” the Turkish leader said in Kyrgyzstan.

Last week US Defense Secretary James Mattis warned Turkey, a member of NATO but not a client state of Washington, against buying the Russian systems. “Turkey had a choice to make, a sovereign decision to make. But clearly Turkey bringing a Russian anti-aircraft, anti-missile system into a NATO country, we cannot integrate that into NATO,” Mattis said. “Yes, it does concern us and we do not recommend that.”

At the same time Erdogan’s government is trying to complete the purchase of American F-35 jets, which US lawmakers are trying to block due to Ankara’s S-400 deal.

Erdogan’s statement shows that Turkey is shaping its defense policy without any regard to the US, Igor Korotchenko, editor-in-chief of National Defense magazine, told RT. For Turkey, the purchase of these weapons means getting “a new geopolitical status of a country” that is able to fully control its airspace and, if necessary, use such weapons against its enemies, he said.

EU punishes Turkey For Repairing Relations With NATO Public Enemy No1 Russia

Leaving aside the current spat between The Netherlands and Turkey which is a different thing altogether, The EU’s diplomatic service is currently trying to punish Turkey for seeking better relations with Russia, after their supporting different sides in the Syria conflict brought the two nations close to war. It is true that NATO member Turkey has recently shown less commitment to the West, but there are probably good reasons for this …

NATO Warships in the seas Odysseus Sailed Spell Trouble For EU

In an apparent effort to reduce the flow of migrants making their way from Turkey to Greece across the Aegean Sea, and because of the mistrust between the nations on either side of that body of water, pressure has been put on NATO (of which both Greece and Turkey are members)by the EU to deploy ships to the Aegean Sea …

The geopolitical world was rocked yesterday when Turkey began shelling Syria’s second largest city, Aleppo, where the Syrian opposition has its back against the wall in the face of an aggressive advance by the forces of President Assad’s government and the Iranian Republican Guard supported, of course, by Russian airstrikes.

EU leader Juncker Has Praised The ‘Sleeping Beauty’ Lisbon Treaty Which He Says Led To Joint European Union Army

The European Commission president Jean – Claude Drunkard has praised the federalisation – by – stealth deceptiveness of the Lisbon treaty for helping bring about the creation of a “European Defense Force,” in effect the EU Common Army.

The treaty was initially called the European Constitution and unequivocally laid out the path to creation of a European superstate by committing nations in the union to surrender their sovereignty and become provinces of a single political entity. This move towards becoming the European empire hitler had planned for Nazi Germany was resoundingly rejected by referenda in France and the Netherlands in 2005.before being repackaged as the Lisbon treaty. Ireland, the only EU nation whose constitution demanded a referendum on treaty changes later rejected the treaty but was told by the EU a refusal was not acceptable and they would have to vote again (and again if necessary,) until they accepted it.

Today, president Jean-Claude Junker admitted that the shady document was always intended a vehicle for the creation of institutions needed to move toward a European superstate just as the Maaastricht treaty had been about creating the single currency.

In a statement, he linked the treaty to the Permanent Structured Cooperation deal (PESCO), signed by 23 member states in November, agreeing to kick-start the EU army by committing to integrate armed forces, boost in common defence spending, and establish a joint headquarters.

He wrote “In June I said it was time to wake up the Sleeping Beauty of the Lisbon Treaty: permanent structured cooperation. Six months later, it is happening. I welcome the steps taken today by Member States to lay the foundations of a European Defence Union.

“Europe cannot and should not outsource our security and defence. The European Defence Fund that the European Commission proposed will complement these efforts and act as a further incentive for defence cooperation – including potential funding for some of the projects presented today.”

A European army will not worry anyone of course, Germany’s habitual losers are the most obese soldiers in the world, the French are cheese eating surrender monkeys, the Italians, specialists in retreating, Spain’s military was summed up by Wellington in the Peninsula War; “They have beautiful uniforms and march in formation well, but we would win this war more quickly were they fighting for napoleon rather than alongside us, Poland and Hungary are in the race to be second to quit and among those left you have Luxembourg, Malta, Latvia, Estonia, Cyprus, Finland and Denmark which together would be hard pressed to raise enough men for a Rugby Union team let alone an army.

When we complained about the Lisbon Treaty, the rest of the EU called us xenophobes. Whatever, we were right from day one. I read the Maastricht Treaty in 1992 (I was working for the EU and had the unsanitized version) and declared the EU to be my enemy. I warned people and they said “But the politicians know what’s best for the country.” and they believed their own narrative. The EU was our enemy then and it is now. I look forward to its utter demise and jail time for the drunk in charge.

European sovereign debt crisis could cause Eurozone implosion – ex-BoE chief
Are government economists and mainstream media finally catching up with what The Daily Stirrer and Boggart Blog’s finance expert Phil T Looker has said since we started publishing? De-Dollarization Accelerates As More Washington “Allies” Follow Australia To China-Led Bank
For many years the dollar has been the currency in which the world’s nations settled cross-border transactions and the so called petrodollar became the only currency in which oil could be traded. In recent years however, as other nations, particularly the BRICS group, Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, the leading nations outside the dominant US / European group, have been making moves to end the domination of the US dollar.

Why Iceland Recovery Is Being Ignored In Mainstream News
Iceland is a small country with less that half a million people so is not a good comparison with Britain. It’s recovery from near bankruptcy in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis however is due to the rejection of politically correct, globalist politics so in that light it serves to illustrate that to suggest Britain (60 million people) cannot survive outside the EU is just globalist scaremongering.

It’s Staring To Dawn On Economists That The Developed World’s Economic Problems Are Structural.
When we look back from 2025, it will be painfully obvious that central bank policies exacerbated the systemic crises that brought down the global financialization machine. After all, “saving” the world from financial collapse 0f 2008 was relatively quick work; so what problems beyond imminent implosion have the central banks policies solved in the past 6 years

Financial Crisis? The Dow Has Already Fallen More Than 1000 Points From The Peak Of The Market
The dramatic falls in world wide stock markets over the past week hows that the Daily Stirrer finance expert was correct in predicting this, such recovery in the global economy as has happened since 2008 has been the result of printing money and manipulating the markets. ‘Russian Bomber Over UK’ Story ‘Not True At All’ – Ministry of Defence

Russian bomber NOT flying over Cornwall (Image Source)

The claims that a Russian bomber flew directly over UK territory, reported in a story The Guardian published Friday are “not true at all,” the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) said today.

Under he headline, “Russian bomber flew inland over Cornwall, witness claims”, The Guardian reported claims by Sue Bamford, a textiles artist from Bodmin, Cornwall, who told the newspaper that whilst taking a driving lesson she saw what she later believed to be a Russian bomber flying over St Eval.

However, the UK Ministry of Defence immediately dismissed the story. “It’s not true, not true at all,” MoD spokeswoman Emma Sloper said in a statement to reporters.

The latest Guardian story comes a day after Russia Today revealed a reporter working for the newspaper, Eliot Higgins, had jointly written a news article based on a study Higgins had himself jointly authored for a group he founded, the “Bellingcat Investigative journalism network”.

Bellingcat claims to be a group of amateur “citizen journalists” and the study, based entirely on freely available online maps, claimed Russian forces had fired on Ukraine from inside the Russian border.

After being contacted by RT the Guardian later corrected the piece to show that the reporter, Higgins “a self-taught weapons expert”, had also co-authored the study on which the report was based.

Just goes to show you can’t believe all the propaganda you read in mainstream media.

Russia Responds To Threats From EU’s Juncker With Typical Bluntness
When E U Commission President, Jean Claude Juncker recently called for a unified European Army his words were aimed at “reacting credibly to show Russia that Europe is serious about defending its values” Not surprisingly Russia has responded Juncker’s hot air in a manner which suggests they are amused by his bluster but regard the threats with contempt.

No Conspiracy Is To Big To Conceal

Yesterday my little lass Cleo who is all growed up now and works as a sarcasticist for Boggart Blog posted an article about the Lance Armstrong scandal which touched on the idea that all sport is corrupt, competitors can only win if they are drug cheats and like Jimmy Savile, athletes have been at it for decades.

Apologists for everything, those people who believe the government is really our best friend and we should never question anybody in authority because the elite are superior beings and are incapable of malfeasance, trotted out their usual defence that such a conspiracy would require the complicity of many people to keep it secret.

Also yesterday I looked into a thread on an American site in which the televised debate between Vice President Biden and VP candidate Ryan was being discussed. The most colourful sub thread focused on the fact that recovering alcoholic Joe Biden laughed out loud (yes LOLed :)) ) when Ryan mentioned that the government had failed to act on intelligence reports that a terror attack on the US Consulate in Benghazi, Libya was imminent.

“BWAH HA HA HA HAARRRR,” guffawed Dr. Evil Biden, “You don’t believe that bunch of malarkey do you? There were no such intelligence reports.”

Myself and another Englishman, Graham Leah had to point out that there were, provided by British Intelligence agents and even if The White House had lost the documents or deleted the emails, our removing British diplomatic personnel from Benghazi and asking the Americans to look after our stuff out to have been a bit of a clue.

Graham and myself were surprised by the response, not the hostile replies from followers of the Obamessiah cult but other comments from more level headed people saying they knew nothing of the British pullout and U S media were still reporting that the Al Qaeda sponsored attack on the embassy building, which was a carefully planned operation that had taken weeks to prepare, had been nothing more than a spontaneous protest against a home made video on You Tube which said some uncomplimentary things about Islam.

Just think, to keep from the American public such a sensational news item of global interest would require a conspiracy involving the whole of the American government including both elected representatives and professional civil and military servants and the whole of broadcast and print media.

Compared to that covering up drug cheating in sport or paedophile rings in the BBC would be a doddle.

Never trust authority and, as The Buddha advised, believe nothing unless it complies with your own experience and instincts.

The £22 Light Bulb And The Man From The Ministry

Just how the Ministry of Defence and Silly Walks managed to spend £22 on a lightbulb that could have been bought for £1.50 down the local supermarket is the most gobsmacking mystery since … well since the MoD managed to spent £103 to buy a screw.

What’s wrong with a screw for £103 you might well ask, after all Belle du Jour charges £250 and although that is top end of the market we can’t ask the lads who are putting their lives on the line as they defend the realm to be making do with a tupenny upright in a back alley can we?

Ah, someone has just corrected me. It was the metal type of screw which cost the Ministry over £100 not an erotic one.

This kind of insane overspending has been a feature of government procurement departments for ever. When I got my whelchair back in 1997 I was told they cost the NHS £1500 each.

Fifteen hundred quid for a couple of bike wheels, two trolley wheels, about twenty five feet of bent tubing, a few catches, screws, plasticky bits and eighteen inches square of tarp for a seat? My daughter’s car cost less than £1,500 and it has taken her all over Europe in the past five years.

FFS how do the public sector do it. Do these overpaid, underrworked civil sdervants with their degrees in Public Administration with Flower Arranging and such not understand about sending out a specification, getting some quotes in, comparing prices and quality and choosing the one that offers the best value.

Perhaps they find the more public money they can spend the easier it becomes to delude themselves they are real people.

Dave, Nick, George, Vince, if any of you read Boggart Blog (and we’ll be mightily pissed off to find you don’t) here’s a idea. Sack all public sector purchasing officers and hire some Meerkats. It would save a fortune and wipe out the deficit at a stroke.

Come Back Biggles – All Is Forgiven

News that cuts to the defence budget could see the RAF’s active fighter pilots numbers reduced to their lowest level since World War 1 made me think that all this budget cutting might be a good thing. I mean why do we need a bunch or technocrat jetfuel heads screaming about in the skies above us, burning up a million poundsworth of oil per second. Who and what are they defending?

Nobody, that’s who. We don’t need defending because we are not a military power any more. The Russians are not going to bomb us, the French can’t be arsed and the Iranians can’t get their planes or their faces off the ground. I mean can you imagine Iran launching a long range airstrike on Britain but all the pilots turning back when they go to Italy because they had to get to the Mosque for evening prayers?

Defence spending is just balls out politics. Imagine Dave presenting our defence policy at a world leaders summit.

“Hey Valdi, look at my enormous weapon, I’ve got a much bigger weapon than you.
“Hey Huang, have you seen my chopper, it can fire a thousand shots a second
“Nico ma petit ami Francais, regardez mon sous – marin. Il est maginfique n’est ce pas? Je joue avec lui dans le bain.”
“Angela, Angie babe, look at my …… oh, sorry Frau Markel, you would probably rather not have seen that…
“Barack, get a look at … Barack, would you take you hands of my projectile please. Yes I know you are showing support for gay rights Barack, we all know you are passionate about gay rights, but I don’t need any gay rights thanks, Samantha suits me fine.”

You see, defence spending is just about showing off so why must we poor taxpayers fork out £2billion each for super dooper hi tech jet fighters, we beat the Luftwaffe with low tech British grit and bloody mindedness and a few Airfix kit Spitfires. Bloody Hell, Squadron Leader Biggles defended the Empire with a couple of Sopwith Camels, a revolver and a silly moustache. And British grit and a sense of fair play of course.

And didn’t Major Dennis Bloodnock defeat The Dreaded Batter Pudding Hurler of Bexhill on Sea armed only with cunning, cowardice, a plastic lettuce and a wax impression of Florence Nightingale’s teeth?

Did all America’s fabled high tech military hardware defeat a bunch of bearded ragheads in Afghanitan or a rag tag army of little yellow blokes on bicycles in Viet Nam? I think not.

High Tech weapons do not win wars. What we need to fight the dark forces that threaten our nation now are traditional British military values, an endless supply of hot, sweet tea, the courage (or dimwiitedness maybe) to be nonchalant in the face of danger, the Lambeth Walk and officers with silly moustaches.

Come back Biggles, all is forgiven.
