British MEP Reveals Undemocratic EU Stitch Up Of Top Jobs

Brexit Party MEP Alexandra Phillips angrily blew the whistle on the undemocratic election process for choosing the European Parliament’s highly influential Committee chairs. The Newly elected MEP claimed the Federalist bloc had organised a “stitch-up behind closed doors”.

Phillips said she was “astonished” by the method the European Parliament uses to elect chairs of its committees. In a video uploaded to the Brexit Party MEP’s Twitter page (embedded below), Ms Phillips says: “So, I’ve just come back from my first committee as an MEP. I am on the Development Committee (DEVE) which is really important to me because I have lived and worked in India and Ghana and Kenya and Cameroon, lots of places.

“And I have seen how badly the EU as a corporate cartel and big business and big banking essentially rides roughshod with trade deals over developing worlds and then uses bits of aid to try and cover up the massive open wounds that they leave behind.

“But what astonished me, the agenda for this meeting was actually appointing the new chair of the Committee.

“But this is already stitched up behind closed doors by the big Parliamentary groups who decide that they will portion out the chairs of committees behind the scenes and then each candidate stands unopposed.

“So I went to the meeting and one chair and vice chairs were automatically appointed because they were the only candidates stepping forward.

“Remember this Parliament is 60 percent new MEPs who haven’t had experience in these areas before and so don’t know the systems and aren’t putting themselves forward.”

Alexandra Phillips tells of her shock at the lack of democracy or transparency in EU

EU leaders have also come under fire for undemocratically facilitating a backroom stitch-up for the bloc’s top job, that of President Of The European Commission. The person chosen to succeed Jean – Claude Juncker in the post is little known Federalist Ursula von Leyen, who emerged as the preferred candidate through a completely opaque process after better known figures were rejected by member states.

Much of the criticism centred around the abandonment of the so-called lead candidate (spitzenkandidat) process, which is designed to give a democratic mandate to the Commission presidency. Instead, leaders held a series of meetings across three days to fill European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker’s role before he is scheduled to step down at the end of October. But nobody seems to know who proposed von Leyen, who voted for her or what qualifies her for the job other than that she is German, a member of Angela Merkel’s CDU Prty know for loyalty to Merkel and a strong supporter of Merkel and Macron’s push to transfor the EU into a Federal superstate.

Following the talks among EU leaders, Ursula von der Leyen, who is currently Germany’s defence minister, a supporter of Federalisation and an advocate of an E U Army, was selected to be the next Commission President. She will become the next European Commission President if the European Parliament approves her appointment. Her path to power may not be smooth however. Member of the European Parliament from The Green Party and a coalition of socialist and communist parties have vowed to oppose her and claim they have the numbers to vote down her appointment.

Assigned Reading For Those Who Would Stop Brexit

For those who cling to the belief that The European Union is a bulwark against fascism and authoritarianism, these words should serve as a reminder of what the true aims of fascism were, as leading EU bureaucrats including Jean Claude Juncker, Michel Barier and Guy Verhofstad, and national leaders of pro EU governments, including Angela Merkel of Germany and France’s Emmanuel Macron talk of greater political integration and accelerating progress towards creating a Federal European superstate.

“Our aim was Europe a Nation. Our faith European Socialism”

British Fascist Leader Oswald Mosley.

He meant a European nation, a single fascist state.

In the name of liberty we must fight for Brexit and support any national movement that resists the European Union’s aim of creating a European empire ruled by unelected bureaucrats in Brussels.

Yellow Vests Protest Merkel-Macron Plan To Integrate Defence, Foreign Policy

The left wing wankerati will not doubt be screaming about racism and xenophobia when they learn of the latest exploits of the Yellow vest movement. This time it is the German branch of the movement who were out in the streets protesting against the latest step Hausfrau – Volksfuhrer Merkel and The Boy Macron have taken towards politically  integrating Germany and France, a plot not mentioned by mainstream media but on which Original Boggart Blog and The Daily Stirrer have been following developments HERE, HEREHERE, and HERE, which they hope would create a strong enough axis to bully the other member states, one Britain is gone, into surrendering national sovereignty to the German – French dominated bloc.

But the people aren’t buying it. Arrogant, aloof and catastrophically out of touch with the people they lead, the globalists Merkel and Macron seem convinced that the only way to end the civil unrest that is dividing their nations is to offer the voters bigger doses of the policies that caused the problems. More mass immigration, more exporting jobs to cheap labour economies and more pandering to Islamic extremists in the name of “multiculturalism and diversity.”

In globalist circles that might be considered high intellect, but where I, most of my friends, and supporters of the Yellow vest live, it is called plain fucking stupid. Which is why German citizens wearing the iconic Yellow Vests that have become the symbol of the anti – establishment movement across Europe, protested against this move for which neither leader has a democratic mandate.

As the boy Macron and Hausfau – Volksfuher Merkel met to sign the treaty which aims to bring together the economic and defence policies of France and Germany in a prototype “Sovereign Europe”, German Yellow Vests supporters, joined by some who had travelled from France, protested outside.

Germany’s Angela Merkel and France’s Emmanuel Macron have negotiated an expansion of the 1963 French-German reconciliation Élysée treaty in Aachen, Germany, which they hope will pave the way for a Federal European superstate, and signed the deal on Tuesday.

The Treaty of AAchen proposes to integrate aspects of France and Germany, as the press statement euphemistically put it, including forging closer ties on economic, defence and foreign policy, merging public transport networks and utilities in border regions, creating a common economic area, and developing shared social and political fields, according to Euractiv.

The most controversial part of the treaty however, is the advancement of plans for defence, building on Merkel’s earlier pledges of for Macron’s ambition to create an EU army. So stupid is this proposal (do these two insaniacs have the faintest idea of how Poland, Hungary, Greece and other countries occupied by the Nazis in World War Two are going to react when asked to hand control of their armed forces to Germany and the cheese eating surrender monkey collaborators of France.

Dr Merkel told media on Tuesday: “We commit ourselves to forming a joint military culture, a common defence industry, a common line and common policy on arms exports. In so doing, we wish to give our contribution to the development of a new European army.

“This will only work if we coordinate at the same time our foreign policies.”

Its signing was meant to send a message to Eurosceptics that the two EU leaders would continue their efforts to further integrate not only the EU, but their own countries. It seems the message being picked up by voters is not the one she wanted them to hear.

Here is that message from a Eurosceptic’s point of view

This Man Encapsulates What’s Wrong With The EU.

Selmayr’s  dogmatic attachment to European unity is matched by his bullying arrogance (Image: GETTY•EPA)

Our economic future has dominated the turbulent debate over Brexit in recent weeks. Yet British withdrawal from the EU is not primarily about economics. Many people on the Remain side of the Brexit debate have never understood that many Brexit supporters were driven by the desire for national independence and democracy, those noble ideals that have inspired freedom movements throughout history.

If ever the British people want a reminder of the need to break free from the EU’s authoritarian, quasi-imperialist rule, then the case of the European Commission’s sinister secretary-general Martin Selmayr (reported here earlier in the year,) provides one.

Selmayr,  a ruthless German bureaucrat and lawyer who has worked for the European Commission since 2004, embodies all the EU bureaucratic dictatorship’s authoritarian impulses, anti-British sentiments and ideological fervour for the integration of twenty seven sovereign nations into a single, political unit ruled from Brussels by unelected bureaucrats.

Selmayr been dubbed “the Rasputin of Brussels” with good reason. Like Grigori Raputin, the peasant – born, self proclaimed mystic and holy man who befriended the family of Russia’s Czar in the late nineteenth century and whose malign influence did a lot to exacerbate anti – royalist feelings and drive people to support the communists, Selmayr’s fierce personal loyalty to the reputedly alcoholic EU Commission president Jean Claude Juncker, dogmatic attachment to the ideal of European political unity (federalism) and bullying arrogance have prompted complaints about the “poisonous” atmosphere he creates.

“What is the difference between God and Selmayr?” the long serving German politician Wolfgang Schauble once asked: “God knows he’s not Selmayr.”

The Rasputin of Brussels has developed a fearsome reputation in the  EU organisation, despite remaining relatively unknown to the public. His authoritarian tenure as Juncker’s chief of staff  earned him a variety of nicknames in addition to Rasputin, Darth Vader, Himmler, the Monster of the Berlaymont, and Pit Bull.

But his brutal style of running Juncker’s office –  demanding that access to Mr Juncker for even the most senior EU officials was first channeled through him, has also led to a queue of enemies. Former European Commission vice president Kristalina Georgieva blamed her resignation on his aggressive style, which she branded ‘poisonous’.

British officials have accused Mr Selmayr, who has privately expressed his dislike of Brexit, of ‘hating’ the UK while describing him as a ‘psychopath’.

But nothing highlights Selmayr’s corrupting influence more than the underhanded way he was rocketed into the role of secretary general by his mentor, Jean Claude Juncker, the Luxembourgois drunk who has vowed to punish Britain for voting to leave. In February this year. he was the chief aide to the EU’s bibulous president, lacking the experience and the qualifications to run the Commission’s 33,000-strong workforce. Operation Night and Fog” a German Green Party European Palrliament called it

Because of his commitment to their cause of creating a single state, the Euronazis, headed by Juncker, were determined to put him in charge of E U administrative functions. So in blatant stitch-up, defying any concept of openness, he was catapulted into the top job.

Confirmation that Selmayr’s dramatic rise was effectively an internal coup by supporters of the federal European superstate project came this week in a scathing report by the EU Ombudsman Emily O’Reilly. Having conducted an extensive investigation into the bizarre events surrounding Selmayr’s rapid rise through the ranks, Ms O’Reilly reported that both “the spirit and the letter” of EU law had been broken by the Commission, whose conduct had been “extraordinary” in failing to challenge the abuse of procedures.

Anyone who has studied the Selmayr promotion fix (link to our report provided for people who missed the story,) would have come to the same conclusion as Ms O’Reilly. the whole business was a grotesque charade which exposes the rottenness at the core of the EU.

Over the space of a few minutes in February this year, Selmayr was shifted from his post as EU Commission Predident Juncker’s chief aide to the position of deputy secretary general on Juncker’s recommendation, thus putting him in the position of principal candidate for the top job. should it become vacant with, mysteriously it did almost instantly.

Moments after Selmayr’s promotion (which borke EU rules because all job vacances should be advertised and applications invited,) the incumbent EU secretary general, Alexander Italianer announced his retirement. At Juncker’s behest, Selmayr was immediately appointed  by the commissioners as Italianer’s replacement, though, again in line with EU rules, the vacancy should have been advertised and a proper selection process instigated.

Even within the Brussels organisation, usually so compliant with the Commission’s megalomania, there was outrage at this cynical manoeuvre. One German MEP, Werner Langen, denounced the move as “anything but transparent. It reminds us of 19th century secret bureaucracy.”

But even after the damning Ombudsman’s report published this weekt, it is unlikely that anything will change. Unassailable in his position with the protection of Juncker whose anointed heir Selmayr must now be, and other Brussels federalists, Selmayr will continue to exercise near total control over the EU’s officialdom because, more than any other figure in Brussels, he promises to fulfil the federalist agenda.

Since he first joined the EU as a press officer, aged 34, he has shown the dedication of a zealot to the goal of the creating a politically united European superstate.

Having conducted an in depth investigation, Ms O’Reilly said that both “the spirit and the letter of EU law had been broken by the Commission, the conduct of which had been extraordinary in failing to challenge the abuse of procedures.”

In the UK, where mainstream media is dominated by people who supported our remainingt any price, even the surrender of our national sovereignty to unelected bureaucrats in  EU headquarters the subject seems to be getting very little attention. Nothing to see here! Small administrative matter! Just a civil servant! Look, over here, more silliness from the ridiculous Brits on the Irish border, far right extremists are gaing ground in Germany, Italy and Sweden and those whining Jewish bigots are complaining about Muslims torching their synagogues.

I and other Brexit supporters have been called a fascist, xenophobe and racist for my well informed decision to vote in support of Britain’s leaving the EU, which only demonstrates that our critics don’t know what any of those words mean. What kind of organisation indulges in this sort of stitch up at the behest of Juncker to set things up for his ghastly sidekick, Selmayr, to be the boss of thousands of officials, extending his pal’s power? An organisation worth leaving, that’s what.

And what kind of people would want their country to be part of such an organisation? Not the kind I’d want to have a drink with for sure. But as if the stitch up was not enough, it gets worse: Though the EU’s recreation of Kristallnacht took place in February, the story was only broken (by Politico) in March and details were still emerging in August

The reporter who has made the running, breaking a series of revelations and allegations, is Jean Quatremer, EU correspondent of the French newspaper Libération. It’s getting worse by the day. Politico has a report of the insurrectionist press conference held yesterday in Brussels, in which the spokesman Schinas came under unprecedented pressure.

While Europhiles will dismiss the affair as a trivial administrative matter and certain European leaders will probably declare that ‘the little people’ are not intelligent enough to understand the complexities of running an organisation like the EU, transparency matters on a practical as well as an ethical level. The European Commission, already emired in Brexit negotiations, is also in conflict with states such as Italy, Poland, Austria and Hungary over their alleged breaches of EU rules. Why should any of those states that have shown their willingness to assert their sovereignty listen to the Commission now its corrupt and secretive modus operandi has been exposed?

All this runs contrary to the prevailing narrative in the London political establishment and UK media, that a brilliantly organised, sophisticated and united EU makes the British negotiating team look like characters from a Monty Python’s Flying Circus sketch. In fact I nave known since working for the EU in Luxembourg thirty years ago it was more like an old Three Stooges film.

EU Flushes €1trillion Down Toilet – Achives Nothing

The Wall Street Journal has revealed the most outrageous waste of European taxpayers’ money yet by the Euronazi EU in its quest to fulfill the dream of a European Federal Superstate, a dream very similar to Adolf hitler’s dream of uniting Euorope under one flag.

The WSJ reports The EU Spent a Bundle to Unify the Continent. It’s Not Working.

The European Union has spent nearly one trillion dollars to unify the continent by delivering highways and trains into places where there were once gravel paths. In current dollars, that is over eight times the size of the Marshall Plan that rebuilt Europe after World War II. The EU has built airports and bridges, trams and swimming pools. It has repaired castles and medieval churches.

It hasn’t bought love.

To the vexation of European leaders, some of the biggest recipients of funding are now hotbeds of discontent, brimming with voters disquieted by the cultural and political pressures that have accompanied European integration, and threatening the bloc’s cohesion.

The biggest recipient of EU cohesion funds in mainland France is Nord-Pas-de-Calais, once an industrial powerhouse of coal, steel and textiles. In parliament, it is represented by Marine Le Pen, the French presidential runner-up who proposed France hold an EU exit referendum.

Many locals say EU funding was overshadowed by the disadvantages of membership, including the obligation to accept migrants from other EU nations. Blaenau Gwent voters favored Brexit by 62% to 38% to leave the EU in 2016. It was Wales’ highest “leave” vote.

The future of the EU still hangs in the balance, with divisions over refugees in particular driving wedges between its member states. If copious spending during decades of European optimism couldn’t revive fading communities or unite the continent, EU officials worry about what comes next. Rising nationalism is pitting smaller, eastern countries against larger, western powers.

EU funding can carry onerous rules and stipulations involving complex paperwork and restrictions on project types, irking recipients. East European nationalists allege that much of the money flows back to German and French construction companies.

Donor countries have soured on cohesion funds, too, partly because of alleged corruption among recipients. In Hungary, where skepticism of the EU runs thick, the bloc’s antifraud agency says $47.8 million spent upgrading street lamps through EU contracts awarded to a company once owned by Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s son-in-law contained “serious irregularities” that may constitute fraud. The son-in-law denies the accusation. Mr. Orban says Hungary no longer needs EU cash.

Who Gives, Who Gets?

https_252f252fs3-us-west-2-amazonaws2028729_6

Member states that receive ‘cohesion money’ are unhappy because of immigration and other political strings attached to the money which they claim is a further erosion of their sovereignty. The donors are unhappy that because of the obligation placed on them by the EU, their money is going to other European nations leaving them strapped for cash to deal with domestic problems.

So far, since the signing in 2007 of the Lisbon Treaty, which effectively laid to rest the charade that the EU formerly EEC and Common Market was simply an association for economic cooperation between European nations, and transformed the European Project into a bid to politically unify the member states into a single political entity, the divisions between member states have been steadily growing, leading to the recent resurgence of nationalism across the continent.

Twilight Of The Roman God?

French president Emmanuel Macron as Jupiter (Source: https://staticmediapart.fr/etmagine/)

When Emmanuel Macron came from nowhere to be elected President of France
following a landslide victory a year ago, he pissed people off almost immediately by
telling journalists he would not answer their questions because they were not smart enough to understand his thoughts. Shortly after that he declared he would rule “in the style of a Roman god,” and compared himself to Jupiter, the Roman equivalent of Zeus or Odin. It’s no wonder then that just a year later the wheels have come off the bandwagon and the man, who was once seen as the saviour and deliverer of his country, a symbol of hope and renewal, seems to have turned into a source of mirth, widely ridiculed by the French for his grandiose posturing and inept efforts to deliver on his promises.

In early May 2017, Macron won the French presidential elections with 66.1 percent of the vote, one of the biggest landslide results in the history of the French Fifth Republic. A month later, his party, ‘Republic on the Move’ (LREM), scored another impressive victory by winning a majority of seats in the French parliament. It should be noted that these results were largely due to a stitch up, with France close to ruin after the disastrous socialist policies of former president Francois Holland, and Marine le Pen’s Front National party topping the polls only months before the election, the socialists and Gaullists (conservatives) combined to advise supporters to vote Macron, because Le Pen had to be stopped and the crumbling dream of a federal European superstate preserved at all costs.

Under the boy wonder’s stewardship it is now becoming clear those costs will be far greater than anyone imagined. Macron, while supporting the USA’s military interventions in the middle east, has thrown his weight behind more immigration and more Islamification for Europe, and following strong performances by Eurosceptic parties in German, Austrian and Italian elections, combined with growing resistance to the authoritarian attitude of Brussels towards member states, has called for acceleration of the push to political integration of the EU member states.

Some of Macron’s reforms so far have attempted to revive the French economy and increase the country’s competitive advantage on the international stage by targeting labor laws and social benefits. However measures such as a public sector pay freeze and making it easier for workers to be fired while also capping redundancy payouts have been disastrous for Marcon’s standing in popularity polls. The changes have also led to Marcon being dubbed The President for The Rich. The benefits and subsidies system is seen as  the foundation of France’s social and economic structure, and is guarded by powerful trade unions.

The reforms were also aimed at reducing the country’s high unemployment rate but as Macron insists on speeding up the admission of unskilled, illiterate migrants from the third world, it seems he is trying to solve one unemployment problem and simultaneously importing another.

A former Goldman Sachs investment banker, which was always going to ensure the left treated his every move with suspicion, Macron’s policies also angered students to the extent that they blocked several educational facilities across France, including the famous Sorbonne, in response to the government’s plans to introduce admission criteria and rank young people who apply to universities.

Meanwhile the powerful rail workers union began calling rolling rail strikes, which have severely disrupted train services throughout the country, with the goal of forcing Macron to rethink his plan for a major overhaul of state rail operator SNCF.

In the face of rising discontent with his government among all sectors of French society, Macron has maintained a god – like remoteness from public opinion as he drives ahead with a program of reforms which will prepare France for the transition to a province of Federal Europe.

His own party, however, which he formed only a year before the election as a stop Le Pen option when it became clear the traditional parties could not win, still accuse Macron of infringing upon worker’s rights and doing favors for corporate “bosses” at the cost of others.

Lose friends? Oooh, I’m bricking It

Someone just IM’d me to say that voicing my support for UKIP will win me no friends. A few points there, traffic figures indicate otherwise, I don’t actually support UKIP, I support their position on the EU (and that means I’m not xenophobic and I thinks a free trade area among nations with vaguely similar cultures is a good idea but a Federal Superstate run by a government of unelected bureaucrats, that would sweep away national sovereignty and identities and impose an ersatz monoculture is a rerun of Adolf Hitler’s wet dream so count me against it.
