The annual anti-Israel al-Quds Day marchtook place through the streets of London on Sunday, condoned by London’s terrorist sympathising Muslim mayor Sadiq Khan and with the flag of the banned terrorist group Hezbollah prominent among the marchers banners.
The distinctive yellow Hezbollah flag contains the image of a military assault rifle at its centre and an Arabic inscription that reads, “The Party of Allah Shall Be Triumphant — The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon.” An obvious provocation to secular and Chritian britain and an insult to British Jews.
Al-Quds Day was begun in 1979 by the late Iranian leader Ayatollah Khomeini to call for the State of Israel to be destroyed. Organisers claim it “unites Muslims for the freedom of the oppressed in Palestine and beyond” (or translated into plain English, calls for Muslims to kill infidels,” and it is co-run by the Islamic Human Rights Commission.
Hezbollah is an illegal, anti-Semitic terrorist organisation, designated as a terror organization in its entirety by the Arab League, Bahrain, Canada, France, Israel, Australia, the Netherlands, and the United States. But the snivelling cowards who have wormed their way into power in the European Union and the United Kingdom, in order to pursue their spieless policy of surrendering to extremism, maintain there is a difference between the group’s military and political wings, seeking only to proscribe the former.
Raphi Bloom, chairman of North West Friends of Israel group, said that despite repeated requests to Mr. Khan and a petition supported by almost 24,000 signatures calling for the event to be cancelled, the city’s leader has remained steadfast in his refusal to intervene. The petition says in part:
“After the terrible recent terrorist events in Manchester and London this display of extremism has no place on the streets of the UK. Allowing this march to go ahead will send a worrying message to the UK’s Jewish community and call into question the commitment of the Mayor of London to eradicate extremism and anti Semitism.”
For his part, Mr. Khan said he had no power to intervene. This is a lie, but what else would we expect from a man whose support for the extremist Muslim brotherhood is well documented.
Meanwhile, terror attack fears have forced organisers of Britain’s largest pro-Israel event to scrap plans for this year’s edition of A Night to Honour Israel. Sponsored by the Christians United for Israel (CUFI) organization, the evening of celebration was scheduled for June 22 at an undisclosed venue in Westminster.
