COVID – 19:The “Deadly” Hydroxychloroquine Publishing Scandal

A publishing scandal recently erupted around the use of the anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) to treat Covid 19. It is also known as quinine and chloroquine, and is on the WHO list of essential medicines.

The bark of the South American quina-quina tree has been used to treat malaria for 400 years. Quinine, a generic drug costing pennies a dose, is available for purchase online. In rare cases it can cause dizziness and irregular heartbeat.

In late May, 2020, The Lancet published a four-author study claiming that HCQ used in hospitals to treat Covid-19 had been shown conclusively to be a hazard for heart death. The data allegedly covered 96,000 patients in 671 hospitals on six continents.

After the article had spent 13 days in the headlines, dogged by scientific objections, three of the authors retracted it on June 5.

Meanwhile, during an expert closed-door meeting leaked May 24 in France, The Lancet and NEJM editors explained how financially powerful pharmaceutical players were “criminally” corrupting medical science to advance their interests … Continue reading >>>

Big Pharma Billionaire Convicted Of Fraud And Conspiracy

Not long ago it would have been inconceivable that one day we would read a news story of Big Pharma company founder and owner finally being arrested for running a criminal drug cartel, but that is exactly what happened a few days ago..

“Federal authorities arrested the billionaire founder and owner of Insys Therapeutics Thursday on charges of bribing doctors and pain clinics into prescribing the company’s fentanyl product to their patients,” reports the Daily Caller News Foundation, one of the most popular alt_news sites online. Unfortunately The Caller features U.S. news, there is no Daily Calller UK or Daily Caller Europe as yet.

It is thanks to alt_news sites we now know addictive drugs including opioids, supplied on legitimate medical prescription, are claiming over 64,000 lives a year in the United States alone with numbers rising (but not yet officially acknowledged,) in Europe..

From the Daily Caller News Foundation:

The Department of Justice (DOJ) charged John Kapoor, 74, and seven other current and former executives at the pharmaceutical company with racketeering for a leading a national conspiracy through bribery and fraud to coerce the illegal distribution of the company’s fentanyl spray, which is intended for use as a pain killer by cancer patients. The company’s stock prices fell more than 20 percent following the arrests, according to the New York Post.

Kapoor stepped down as the company’s CEO in January amid ongoing federal probes into their Subsys product, a pain-relieving spray that contains fentanyl, a highly-addictive synthetic opioid. Fentanyl is more than 50 times stronger than morphine, and ingesting just two milligrams is enough to cause an adult to fatally overdose.

The series of arrests came just hours after President Donald Trump officially declared the country’s opioid epidemic a national emergency. Drug overdoses led to 64,070 deaths in 2016, which is more than the amount of American lives lost in the entire Vietnam War.

As the opioid crisis has developed, more and more states have begun holding doctors and opioid manufacturers accountable for over-prescribing and over-producing the highly-addictive painkillers.

“We will be bringing some major lawsuits against people and companies that are hurting our people,” Trump said Thursday. He also spoke about a program similar to Nancy Reagan’s “Just Say No” initiative.

“More than 20,000 Americans died of synthetic opioid overdoses last year, and millions are addicted to opioids. And yet some medical professionals would rather take advantage of the addicts than try to help them,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions said in a statement. “This Justice Department will not tolerate this.  We will hold accountable anyone – from street dealers to corporate executives — who illegally contributes to this nationwide epidemic.  And under the leadership of President Trump, we are fully committed to defeating this threat to the American people.

Under The Trump administration, which is at least attempting to fight to end the drug cartels and health care monopolies that are destroying so many lives in the USA, at least the American drug companies are facing the legal scrutiny they deserve for engaging in the mass medical murder of patients through overprescriptions and incorrect use of dangerous, dependency forming drugs. We can only hope that the corrupt and rotten to the core socialised health systems of Europe are similarly called to account sometime soon.

And then there’s the question of vaccines, the autism cover-up and the criminal racket run by the CDC, Big Pharma and the lying mainstream media. When that medical fraud and corruption scandal blows sky-high, we may see dozens of pharmaceutical officials going to prison.

Long Term Use of Paracetmol Can Injure or Kill

We’ll tell you a secret – why not? Big Pharma already hate us

We’re nothing if not irreverent here on Boggart Blog, we have no time for the gods of established religion and no time for the modern gods of science and technology. They’re all synthetic and so have no power. On the other hand we do have quite a bit of time for the old gods of the Greek, Norse and Celtic pantheons, because they’re fun and have great stories and nobody ever really believed in them anyway (OK, I’m just padding here, Google don’t rate out posts unless they have more than 400 characters (and no links in the first 400 characters)

One of the modern gods is medicine. We’re all supposed to be in awe of doctors, they heal the sick, soothe the dying and hand out treatments to stop us getting ill, right?

WRONG!

“It’s supposed to be a secret, but I’ll tell you anyway. We doctors do nothing. We only help and encourage the doctor within.” Albert Schweitzer, M.D.

“He is the best physician that knows the worthlessness of the most medicines..” Benjamin Frankin

There is even a word now for illness caused by medical error, incompetence, over – prescription, wrong prescription, prescription for the benefit of corporate profit rather than patients welfare and other related deaths and illness. Oh, yes, “iatrogenic”. I’ll save you the trouble of looking it up.
In the online encyclopedia dictionary, iatrogenists is defined thus:

“iatrogenesis Literally ‘doctor-generated’, the term refers to sickness produced by medical activity. Widely recognized as a phenomenon, the debate is over its extent. The term was introduced into social science by Ivan Illich (Medical Nemesis, 1976), as part of his more general attack on industrial society and in particular its technological and bureaucratic institutions, for limiting freedom and justice and for corrupting and incapacitating individuals.”

According to Wikipedia, in the United States an estimated 225,000 deaths per year have iatrogenic causes, with only heart disease and cancer causing more deaths.

Many iatrogenic effects are clearly defined and easily recognized, such as a complication following a surgical procedure. Less obvious ones, for example continuing to prescribe drugs long after the nations no longer needed them, require significant investigation to identify, such as complex drug interactions.

If You Want To Get Ahead Get A New Head

First-ever human head transplant now possible, says neuroscientist.

Technical barriers to grafting one person’s head onto another person’s body can now be overcome, says Dr. Sergio Canavero, a member of the Turin Advanced Neuromodulation Group. In a recent research paper, Canavero outlines a procedure modeled on successful head transplants which have been carried out in animals since 1970.

The one problem with these transplants was that scientists were unable to connect the animals’ spinal cords to their donor bodies, leaving them paralyzed below the point of transplant. But, says Canavero, recent advances in re-connecting spinal cords that are surgically severed mean that it should be technically feasible to do it in humans.

Technically feasible eh? So it works in theory and i

f they can just find a few thousand volunteers to experiment on, we may yet see the body of Holly Willoughby wearing the head of Chris Evans. Is there really no end to the stupidity of scientists.

Don’t Call Him Jesus Just Yet

This story was actually published on New Year’s day I think, but it only caught my eye when I was sorting the papers for recycling.

Miracle Baby

A woman who was born with only one ovary and had the other ovary removed when she was 12 has given birth to what doctors are calling a miracle baby.

Okay, fair enough, if she somehow managed to produce an egg without any ovaries then probably that baby has the right to be called Jesus, or Owen Meany perhaps.

And surely the doctors should know? After all they have undergone extensive medical training and they should be able to identify something that defies all possible logical explanations shouldn’t they?

Well the doctors do know that she actually partook of IVF treatment using a donor egg.

That’s not a bloody miracle it’s just quite commonplace medical procedure.

Psychic Power

This is not by best piece ever by a long way but I just had to write that headline.

Lancashire psychic Joe Power (see, I told you I had to write the headline) a wannabe celebrity psychic whose by line is (portentous chords) “He sees dead people didn’t see trouble coming his way from live(ish) people when he fell foul of the Merseyside Skeptics Society who question his claim to have supernatural abilities.

We’d love to be able to tell you Joe’s claim is actually true because he holds down a day job as a morgue attendant but we could get no information to back that up. We do have information on Merseyside Skeptics Society however. They are the arseholes who earlier this year staged a mass overdose protest against homeopathy. As we reported at the time the Merseyside Skeptics Society (calm down, calm down) got very excited about the sale of homeopathic remedies in Boots Chemist. To “prove” homeopathy is a fraud they gathered outside the Liverpool branch of Boots and drank amounts of homeopathic medicine that vastly exceeded the recommended dose. Then they didn’t die and claimed they had proved homeopathic remedies were useless despite the information on the remedies’ packaging clearly stating “There’s one born every minute,” and on the other side “Exceeding the recommended dose will not harm you.”

I would say the sceptics proved at least one claim made by homeopaths is true.

Back to Psychic Power however. He has alleged that Merseyside Skeptics Society have been conducting a campaign of harassment against him. Nonsense a spokesman for the sceptics said: All we have done is say his powers are mythical. Maybe the thkeptic thpokthperthon wath trying to say mystical but had a thpeech impediment. Could a psychics powers be mythical, like King Arthur or Robin Hood or Jason and the Argonauts? Is there anything in classical literature about The Mythical Mystic of Mykonos? No? Oh well, worth a try.

So in the end does Joe Power have the power? We don’t know, nor do we care much in fact we were happy to have never heard of him until the Merseyside Skeptics Society gave the life giving oxygen of free publicity to his career as the man who speaks to the dead.

The Sceptics on the other hand we have to feel sorry for. The irrational faith in reason and logic of people who go to great lengths and waste their hard earned proving something known to be harmless is actually harmless makes them sadder than the people who ask Psychic Power to contact Great Uncle Fred and ask him where he hid the keys to the safe deposit box. On the other hand if the sceptics really want to scupper Psychic Power’s career they could try putting a curse on him.

Homeopathy: A Massive Overdose Protest

It is strange the Boggart Blog team finds that mere mention of the word “homeopathy” will send the science-is-god fellowship into a spluttering, incoherent, apoplectic rage. At risk of bringing the wrath of the evangelical scientists upon us then:

HOMEOPATHY, HOMEOPATHY, HOMEOPATHY.

The reasons for that apparently redundant repetition will become apparent.

My own view is that I have never tried homeopathic remedies and do not intend to. What pisses me off about the homeophobics is that one cannot simply say “I know bugger all about it, if people think it works for them well, it’s their life.” A homeophobic cannot leave it at that, they will not let you be neutrally uninterested, oh no. They have to try to bully you into agreeing with them.
“But the stuff is diluted so much blah blah,” they scream. Yeah, am I bovvered, I don’t use it.

“But its unscientific, there’s no scientific evidence…” Yeah, so what. The flight of bees is unscientific but I’m not going to stop eating honey.

Many people believe homeopathic remedies have cured long standing complaints in the way I believe a couple of glasses of red wine several times a week protects me against swine flu, cancer, Alzheimer’s disease and The Dreaded Lurgi in a way that no vaccine or drug ever could. The science-is-god faction cannot just accept these are opinions, they are determined to not allow anybody to think anything that is not scientific. They have to start ranting about how there is no scientific evidence to support claims that homeopathy works (which apparently proves it does not work) and that an excess of alcohol can result in many serious health problems later in life.

Their favourite tactic when faced with demonstrations that somebody has suddenly showed a gobsmacking lack of symptoms shortly after taking a homeopathic remedy is to put it down to pure coincidence.

Like all fringe religious cults the science is religion cult attracts a lot of nutters who would probably make great homeopaths if they could overcome their prejudices.

There are probably many such nutters in the Merseyside Sceptics Society (which should be named the Merseyside Selective Sceptics Society, you can bet they are not in the least sceptical about climate change science or the large hadron collider) who today will be indulging their OCD – like need to go on about how unscientific homeopathy is by getting together outside Boots Chemist in Liverpool and staging a mass overdose protest against the chain store selling homeopathic remedies. Protesters claim they will eat who bottles of homeopathic pills to show the medications are not effective. Similar protests are taking place around the world.

A spokesman for the Selective Sceptics said Boots should stop selling these “medicines” because it is promoting “unscientific thinking.” A Boots spokeman said the company does not force anyone to buy homeopathic medicince, they are simply responding to customer demand.

Do you spot the failure of logic on the part of the selective sceptics here. There are many conventional treatments a small does of which will cure but which can be eaten in much larger quantities without harm resulting. So isn’t the protest as unscientific as the protesters say homeopathy is? Oh well religious cults, even the science-is-god cult have never been big on that common sense kind of logic.

What would really be a wonderful coincidence however is if one or two of the protesters collapse and die of strokes or heart attacks after eating their massive protest overdose of pills.

Now you know why “homeopathy” is so massively overused in this blog post.

Learing To Grow Hashish At College

It had to happen, there have been courses available in subjects such as Klingon studies, the Jedi Philosophy and Atheist Theology in American Colleges for years. It was inevitable that a course in being a stoner would be offered sooner or later.

When the U.S. State Of Michigan indtrduced the Michigan Medicinal Marijuana act (try saying that after a good joint) in 2008 making the growing of Marijuana for medical purposes legal in the state, a 24 year old entrepreneur (a.k.a. drug pusher) founded the state’s first college dedicatied to pot related studies.

The course in growing the weed (six weeks, $485)covers horticultural skills, legal pitfalls and methods of preparing hash for consumption.

Now all we are waiting for is somebody offering a PhD in smoking it.

Spotless Minds – Tomorrow Belongs To Me.

A truly horrifying news story in todays Guardian alerts us at the development odf a pill claimed to erease unpleasant memories. In Spotless Minds this new medication is described as an aid to erasing unpleasant memories. So of course it is a Good Thing and will be embraced as such by the Politically Correct Thought Police, it will be marketed and sold as a psychological medicine something that will help troubled souls forget their traumatic experiences.

Hang on though, everything that happens to us, good or bad, makes us what we are. If this pill can erase bad momories what else may it erase, memories of reading a work of political or religious philosophy? Our memory of the time we spent of a dissident group protesting against nuclear weapons or oppressive government policies?

The direction they are heading in here is just not acceptable. Swedenborg referring to religious attitudes towards sex said “Religion wages war on human nature”; science it seems wants to wage war on everything that makes us human.

Obama hits more troble with cronyism policy.
Remember the kerfuffle last month when the former governor of Illinois, the state for which Barack Obama was junior senator before “ascending to the light?” Governor Rod (blagger) Blagojevich to whom fell the task of appounting a new senator to sit until the next election was caught trying to auction off Obama’s seat in the US senate.

Eventually Rolan Burris, another time server from Chicago’s black political establishment was appointed, Obama’s favourite Jesse Jackson Junior having withdrawn because he could not afford Blagger Blagojevich’s asking price.

Well now, less than a month after being sworn in Burris is being called on to resign because of allegations that he perjured himself in statements to federal investigators about his role in Blagojevich’s corrupt activities as governor.

Looks like the Obama administration is going to be more fun than a cage full of monkeys. Oops, pardon! I can’t believe I just used the word “monkeys” in connection with the Obama administration. I must wash my mouth with soap and water.

Can Catnav stop your cat’s muderoust assault on the local bird population.

One for fatsally this. My little sister harbours a coven of cat’s and turnds a blind eye to the exploits of nature’s answer to The Yorkshire Ripper as her darling little killing machines decimate the local bird population. A new device, catnav, will if it lives up to the makers claims, enable cat owners to keep tabs on the movements of their psychotic pets. We who like watching the pretty birdies in our gardens but hate seeing our feathered friends being murdered and butchered by next door’s Tabby of Terror have a better plan to deal with cats. It involves pepper, untrasonic devices and an air pistol.
