Qatar Close To Running Out Of Dollars?

Let’s be honest, the Saudi-led campaign to starve Qatar’s citizens of food and businesses of trade was doomed from the start, while the Saudi’s my feel they can rely on big bully boy best mate the USA to deter anybody thinking of helping Qatar, with both Turkey and Iran volunteering to provide food and other essentials to the tiny Gulf nation while local entrepreneurs have started a cow paradropping campaign to beat the blockade on milk imports, the key factor is what will Russia’s President Putin do.

Putin has little time for the Saudis, is fed up of American meddling in the middle east, and is a strong ally of both Iran, the real target of the Saudi move against Qatar, and of Syria’s President Assad. And Putin is well aware of the role the USA and Saudi Arabia have played in sponsoring the iSIS / Al Nusra war in Syria. In fact, right up to the end of his failed presidency Barack Hussein Obama was telling the world America’s priority in Syria was not to defeat the terrorists of ISIS but to remove Assad and open the way for the Saudis to install a Muslim theocracy that would support its own extreme version of Islam.

A new problem has now emerged in Qatar, the world’s biggest source of natural gas: the financial system is running out of dollars. Bloomberg reports that several Qatari banks have boosted interest rates on dollar deposits to shore up liquidity as the Saudi-led campaign to isolate the gas-rich state intensifies.

Adding to concerns of a monetary blockade, Bloomberg also reports that some banks in neighboring countries have been offloading investments in Qatar amid concerns of a widening of the blockade.

Qatar is the world’s wealthiest nation on a GDP/capita basis and is well able to withstand a prolonged financial siege, and defend its currency and economy. Finance Minister Ali Shareef Al Emadi played down the impact of the crisis on the country, in an interview with CNBC on Sunday (11 June) saying the plunge in Qatari assets last week was a “normal” reaction to the standoff.

Finally, the question nobody dares ask out loud is, “Where does Russian president Vladimir Puting stand on all this. Well aware of the US role in this latest crisis and the real reasons behind it (reported HERE and HERE) Puting has said the US has “got a false sense that it is able to do everything without any consequences,” in particular after the Soviet Union’s collapse.

“In such a situation, a man or a country begins to make mistakes… Putin said. The state begins to function ineffectively. One mistake follows another. That is the trap in which, as I believe, the United States got caught into,” Putin reflected during a press conference.

“I believe that if you think you are the only world power, trying to impose on the whole nation the idea of their exclusiveness, this creates an imperialistic mentality in society, which in turn requires an adequate foreign policy expected by society. And the country’s leaders are forced to follow this logic. And in practice this might go contrary to the interest of the Americans…. It demonstrates it’s impossible to control everything.”

Which some might interpret as a warning to the USA to stay out of the middle east and mind its own business.

What’s Really Happening With Saudi Arabia and Qatar Will Not Be Televised

While mainstream media is in a frenzy over what former FBI chief James Comey will say to a Congressional hearing about Donald Trump’s alleged links with Russia and attempt to shut down an investigation into those links, the UK election, Islamic extremist terrorism, football’s latest multi – million transfer deals, etc., as usual the really big story is hardly being reported. We bring you the story from The Anti Media, published here under creative commons licence.

June 7, 2017 at 11:04 am

Egypt, the UAE, Bahrain, Yemen, Libya, and the Maldives — spearheaded by Saudi Arabia — have severed almost all of their ties with Qatar. The move comes just days after hacked emails from the Hotmail account of a wealthy, prominent UAE ambassador, Yousef Al-Otaiba, showed that a number of countries were conspiring to denigrate relations with Qatar (and Iran).

The official justification for Saudi Arabia’s rift with Qatar is that the latter country aligns with terrorists and threatens national security. However, both Saudi Arabia and Qatar have been alleged to support ISIS, and Saudi Arabia’s history of support for terrorist organizations surpasses that of almost any other state in the world (with the exception of probably the U.S.). In fact, the British Home Office is currently refusing to release a report on terrorist funding — commissioned by former Prime Minister David Cameron — because it focuses too heavily on Saudi Arabia.

We’re revolutionizing the news industry, but we need your help! Click here to get started.

So what could really be behind this deterioration between Qatar and its former allies?

Unsurprisingly, the real issue at play consists of a Pandora’s Box of money, oil, natural gas, and geopolitics.

Qatar is the world’s largest exporter of liquefied natural gas. It is for this reason that many analysts believe Qatar was heavily involved in attempting to overthrow Bashar al-Assad in Syria. Assad had scrapped a potential deal with Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, opting for a natural gas pipeline deal that would involve Iran and Iraq, instead.

In April 2017, Qatar lifted a self-imposed ban on developing the world’s biggest natural gas field, which it shares with Iran, in an attempt to stave off an expected rise in competition, particularly from Russia.

Iran, too, is home to large natural gas reserves, and after a shortage of domestic gas, the Islamic Republic sought to capitalize on the 2015 nuclear accord by ramping up production on their share of the gas reserve. In November 2016, Iran signed a deal with France’s Total to develop this project. Iran is expected to surpass Qatar’s gas production by next year, and Qatar has been left with no choice but to join in the venture, though they deny Iran prompted their response to lift the ban.

“What we are doing today is something completely new and we will in future of course … share information on this with them [Iran],” Qatar Petroleum’s Chief Executive Saad al-Kaabi said, as reported by Haaretz.

Qatar has no current plans to go to war with Iran, unlike the rest of the Arab Gulf states. Not long after Donald Trump sword-danced his way through the Middle East, raving incessantly about the so-called Iranian threat, Qatari state media released a report that appeared to show Qatari ruler Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani give a speech describing his respect for Iran and his support for Hamas. Qatar immediately claimed the report was actually the result of a hack, but the UAE and Saudi Arabia still believe the report to be genuine.

Saudi Arabia’s decision to cut Qatar from its so-called coalition of countries wreaking havoc on Yemen has come with its political repercussions. Iran immediately expressed support for Qatar in this struggle, as have the Houthi militias operating inside Yemen. The Houthis are already stating they are willing to cooperate with Qatar — even though Qatar was fighting against them for approximately two years.

Qatar is not following the playbook. In Libya, Egypt and Qatar are currently fighting a proxy war as they are both backing different rival camps that are vying to assert power in the war-torn nation. Though Qatar clearly shared NATO’s sentiment in ousting Muammar Gaddafi from Libya and attempting to overthrow Assad in Syria, Qatar’s support for organizations like the Muslim Brotherhood are largely seen as political challenges to the Saudi alliance.

Qatar is home to America’s largest base in the Middle East, with over 11,000 servicemen currently deployed there.

“The United States and the Coalition are grateful to the Qataris for their longstanding support of our presence and their enduring commitment to regional security. We have no plans to change our posture in Qatar,” Major Adrian Rankine-Galloway, Pentagon spokesman, said in a statement. “We encourage all our partners in the region to reduce tensions and work towards common solutions that enable regional security.”

The U.S. cannot afford to intentionally destroy its relationship with Qatar outright, but it can certainly allow its client states in the region to do its bidding for them. As Otaiba’s recently hacked emails show, some very powerful people in Washington support putting pressure on Qatar in order to bring it to its knees and force it to comply with the rest of the region.

Though the U.S. military’s statement appears to be an attempt to mitigate the damage of the fallout, as usual, the one wildcard element that no one can account for when unraveling geopolitical strategies is Donald Trump’s personal Twitter account. Trump has already tweeted his support for the economic blockade on Qatar and even appeared to take credit for the initiative.

But what will the U.S. and the other Gulf states achieve by implementing this policy? So far, all it seems to be doing is pushing Qatar even closer to Iran, and the U.S. may lose yet another vital ally from the anti-Assad alliance, further complicating the battleground as the framework continues to be set for an all-out regional conflict.

UK Threatens To Quit Brexit Talks Over EU Excessive Severance Cash Demands

It was never going to be easy, nobody who knows anything about the small minded bureaucrats who run the EU and their vindictive responses to any individual or organisation which obstructs what they, misguidedly, think is their irresistible march toward linking up with the USA and establishing a global technocratic government would have been aware that the Brussels bureaucracy’s response to Brexit would be to punish the arrogant British for their defiance.

With negotiations between the UK and EU likely to formally begin on June 19, Bloomberg reports that Brexit Secretary David Davis has pre-emptively lashed out at EU officials, threatening that “The UK will quit talks on leaving the European Union unless the bloc drops its demands for a divorce payment as high as EUR100bn.”

Britain’s negotiations would otherwise be plunged into “chaos,” and even a 1 billion-pound settlement would be “a lot of money,” Davis said in an interview published in the Sunday Times. Actually Davis and his colleagues on Britain’s negotiating team have audaciously suggested thast not only will Britain owe the EU nothing on leaving the organisation, but in fact the EU will owe Britain tens of €billions.

As Bloomberg notes, the size of Britain’s exit bill, and which types of negotiations can begin before it has been agreed, has been a source of debate for weeks.

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker has said the U.K. will have to pay about 50 billion pounds, while Luxembourg’s Prime Minister Xavier Bettel has signaled a figure between 40 billion euros and 60 billion euros.

The Financial Times estimated the cost could balloon to 100 billion euros, while a study by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales put the cost at as low as 5 billion pounds ($6.5 billion).

Britain’s conservative government has said it will meet its commitments to the EU, but has questioned how Brussels officials reached their preliminary estimates… especially the oddly round number of 100-billion-euros…

“We don’t need to just look like we can walk away, we need to be able to walk away…Under the circumstances, if that was necessary, we would be in a position to do it.”

UK Prime Minister Theresa May commented on the Brexit bill in an interview with the Sunday Telegraph, by saying that “money paid in the past” by the U.K. into joint EU projects and the European Investment Bank ought to be taken account in the final sum.

“There is much debate about what the U.K.’s obligations might be or indeed what our rights might be,” she said.

“We make it clear that we would look at those both rights and obligations.”

A spokesperson for Barclays said the bank fears that two years may not be enough time to complete the comprehensive Brexit talks neded for a ‘soft’ exit. Which leaves three possible paths ahead…The soft, the hard and the ugly Brexit

While it remains unclear what kind of Brexit PM May is seeking, we believe that her insistence on regaining control of borders and withdrawing from the European Court of Justice is fundamentally inconsistent with the EU’s negotiating position, which is basically that no member state is allowed to completely quit the EU, and makes a hard Brexit, involving leaving the single market unavoidable. The ugly Brexit option is that Britain, unable to hold any rational discussions with the world domination freaks in Brussels simply walks away. That would harm the EU significantly more that the UK.

France Warns Media Not To Publish Hacked Macron Emails, Threatens Criminal Charges

After a massive hack on the campaign of French presidential candidate, the former Golman Sachs banker Emmanuel Macron, 9 gigabytes of Macron-linked documents containing much potentially harmful information about Marcon’s personal finances were released on an anonymous pastebin website on Friday afternoon. In what Macron’s campaign managers describes as a “massive and coordinated” hacking attack, the French government, claiming it wanted to avoid a repeat of what happened with Hillary Clinton after 35,000 emails from a private server were released one month before the US presidential election, immediately prohibited of the files, warning on Saturday it would be a “criminal offense” to republish the data, and warning the French media not to publish content from any of the hacked emails “to prevent the outcome of the vote being influenced.”

This this leak having come only two days before the final votes is due to take place, is probably too late to affect the outcome of the election but the French are know for turning everything into a big drama production. With polls predicting an easy victory for globalist, pro – EU Macron over nationalist rival Marine Le Pen what will really be interesting is what will happen after the election. Macron has come from nowhere, after quitting as a minister in Francoise Hollande’s disastrous socialist government to form his En Marche movement, his campaign has been well funded, with money allegedly coming from George Soros and other globalist billionaires, and from foreign governments, but he has no party base and no core support in the nation and will find it difficult to govern effectively.

On Friday night, as news of the hack, hashtagged @MacronLeaks on Twitter spread, reached the networks, Florian Philippot, deputy leader of the National Front, tweeted “Will Macronleaks teach us something that investigative journalism has deliberately kept silent?” In a tweeted response, Macron spokesman Sylvain Fort called Philippot’s tweet “vile”.

In another parallel to the Clinton leaks, Macron’s En Marche! party said the leaked documents dealt with “the normal operations of a campaign and included some information on campaign accounts.” It said the hackers had mixed false documents with authentic ones to “sow doubt and disinformation.” Needless to say Macron himself, as if desiring to tell voters he is in the New World Order camp, accused ‘The Russians’ of being behind the leak.

The biggest parallel to the Clinton hacking, in the documents seen so far is, if genuine, they confirm prior allegations of illicit financial dealings and offshore accounts. And like the Clinton campaign, instead of clearly denying the information contained therein, Marcon’a people and the political establishment in France simply tried to discredit the messenger. Indeed, as journalist Kim Zetter noted overnight, “Telling journos to not report on hacked emails misses point that nearly all important leaks occur because someone broke laws or a contract” and then followed up with the following rhetorical question, flipping the situation by 180 degrees: “If GRU, intending to assault dem., hacks Trump & publishes emails showing his direct connection to Russia, should journos report on those.

As reported on Friday evening, WikiLeaks tweeted that the leak contained “many tens of thousands” of emails, photos and attachments dated up to April 24, but it noted that it had come “too late” to affect the election results. In a follow up tweet, the controversial whistleblowing organization posted a tweet sharing the location of all #MacronLeaks archives which are “now available as uncensorable magnet links http://archive.is/aULcm

Since there has been no suggestion WikiLeaks is responsible for this hack, speculation about the source of the hack has grown, with Russia once again emerging as the “usual suspect.”

“If indeed driven by Moscow, this leak appears to be a significant escalation over the previous Russian operations aimed at the U.S. presidential election, expanding the approach and scope of effort from simple espionage efforts towards more direct attempts to sway the outcome,” Kremez said.

We expect the Kremlin to deny all allegations shortly.

To cover all bases, others have also accused the “Alt Right” of being responsible for the leak – which is so vague it can only be a diversionary tactic.

The hashtag #MacronLeaks was spread by Jack Posobiec, a pro-Trump activist whose Twitter profile identifies him as Washington D.C. bureau chief of the far-right activist site Rebel TV, according to analysts tracking the election. Contacted by Reuters, Posobiec said he had simply reposted what he saw on the online discussion forum 4chan.

Sunday’s election, whose result is expected in just over 24 hours, is seen as “the most important in France for decades, with two diametrically opposed views of Europe and the country’s place in the world at stake.” Tune in then to find out if Wikileaks is correct, and the #MacronLeaks is nothing more than a tempest in a teapot, unable to chisel away at Macron’s lead over Le Pen which the latest polls calculate to be as much as 25 points although unbiased pundits in France have suggested the final outcome will be a lot closer.

The European People’s Party (EPP) the largest political group in the European Parliament, nominated Luxemourgeois nonentity and alcoholic (allegely) Jean-Claude Juncker as President of the European Commission. The party has the support of some of Europe’s most powerful leaders, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Made up largely of centre Social Democrat parties and centre right Christian Democrats they command an automatic majority in any vote taken by the European Parliament and are unerringly federalist, globalist and anything but democratic.

And they are unerringly supportive of America’s efforts to start a war with Russia.

“The time of talk and persuasion with Russia is over,” MEP and Vice-President of the European People’s Party (EPP) Jacek Saryusz-Wolski told a meeting of the European Parliament on Tuesday, 21 April, “Now it’s time for a tough policy, a realistic policy, and concentration on defence and security, because the eastern flank of the EU feels vitally, existentially threatened.”

Has Everybody Forgotten Obama’s War
The American military machine has just chalked up the grim statistic of its 2,000th fatality since America troops first surged into Afganistan to defeat “insurgents” whose families had lived in that country for many generations. The invasion was justifed in the aftermath of September 11 by the myth that Afghanistan was a …

Ignore The warmongering Left’s Calls For Intervention In Syria

Morons to the right of me, idiots to the left. What are us libertarians to do as we find ourselves in our customary position, clinging to a raft of common sense as we try to navigate a course through a sea of insanity. My stance on the trouble spots of the middle east has always been the same, firmly non interventionist and I am not shifting as the propaganda …

Obama Talks The Talk But Dare Not Visit Afghanistan In Daylight

Todays mainstream news papers and broadcast bulletins are full of the Superhero Barack Obama’s daredevil visit to Afghanistan. The man who liberated Libya single handed and took out Osama Bin Laden (or a Pakistani pensioner with a beard) in a daring solo raid behind enemy lines stormed into the Afghan capital, Kabul, made a speech that left hundreds of Taliban fighters dead and saw others fleeing for the mountains with their arses on fire then left again all in the space of …

Syrian Rebels Say West Is Already Aiding Thier Uprising.

As the troubles stirred up in Syria by the meddling of the American idiot President Barack Hussein Obama and fuelled by the west’s determination to intervene and effect regime change in another middle eastern nation escalate into civil war, the rebels show they are as unfit a government in waiting as those fanatical mobsters the western powers have catapulted into power in Egypt, Libya and Tunisia. We conclude that Obama wants World War 3. …

Israel Will Not Warn USA Before Launching A Strike Against Iran
Israeli officials say they won’t warn the U.S. if they decide to launch a pre-emptive strike against Iranian nuclear facilities, a U.S. intelligence official familiar with the discussions has ytold Associated Press. The Business of War: Defense Sales Keep Economies Of Manufacturing Nations Afloat
Tens of thousands have been killed and millions displaced due to ‘humanitarian’ interventions by the developed nations (led by the USA, France and the UKm the FUKUS axis) in the domestic politics of third world nation. Ooer Missis – It’s Carry On Campaigning

Politicians sometimes have train – wreck interviews on live media, especially when campaigning, but in the run up to a General Election which could see her party anihilated, Labour Party home affairs spokeswoman Diane Abbot surpassed all expectations by doing three train – wreck interviews in one day.

First off, with Nick Ferrari of LBC Radio: Ferrari wanted to focus on the completely whacky election promise made by Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn that if elected, his party would recruit 10,000 extra police officers , funding the project by reversing cuts to Capital Gains Tax made by the Conservatives:

When Ferrari questioned Labour’s figures, Diane Abbott struggling to explain how the party would fund the policy, started to bluster as she does whenever a question is asked that she cannot answer (Ms. Abbott does a lot of blustering).

The MP initially suggested that Labour would hire 10,000 officers for £300,000, which would would have left officers earning £30 a year.

Ms Abbott’s assessment of how many new officers would be recruited in one year ranged from 25,000 to 250,000.

TRANSCRIPT:
transcript:

Nick Ferrari: So how much would 10,000 police officers cost?

Diane Abbott: Well, if we recruit the 10,000 policemen and women over a four year period, we believe it’ll be about £300,000.

Nick Ferrari: £300,000?

Diane Abbott: Sorry, … (Interrupted)

Nick Ferrari: 10,000 police officers? What are you paying them?

Diane Abbott: No, I mean, sorry … (Interrupted)

Nick Ferrari: How much will they cost.

Diane Abbott: They will cost [long pause], it will cost, erm, about, about £80m.

Nick Ferrari: The £80m is the figure we use. But I don’t understand. If you divide £80m by 10,000, you get 8000.

Diane Abbott: What … (Interrupted)

Nick Ferrari: Is that what you’re going to pay these policemen and women?

Diane Abbott: No, we’re talking about a process over 4 years.

Nick Ferrari: I don’t understand. What is he or she? £80m divided by 10,000 equals £8000. So I don’t, what are these police officers going to be paid?

[papers rustle]

Diane Abbott: We will be paying them the average … (Interrupted)

Nick Ferrari: Has this been thought through?

Diane Abbott: Of course it’s been thought through!

Nick Ferrari: Where are the figures?

Diane Abbott: The figures are that the, the additional cost in year 1 when we anticipate recruiting 250,000 policemen will be £64.3m

Nick Ferrari: 250,000 policemen?

Diane Abbott: And women.

Nick Ferrari: Right. Where…? So you’re getting more than 10,000? You’re recruiting 250,000?

Diane Abbott: No, we are recruiting 2000 and perhaps 250. And the cost … (Interrupted)

Nick Ferrari: Where did 250,000 come from?

Diane Abbott: I think you said that not me.

Nick Ferrari: I can assure you – you said that figure because I wrote it down.

Diane Abbott: What I’m saying about the cost is in year 1 obviously we’re getting ready to recruit, but in year 2 the cost will be £64.3m, in year 3 the cost will be £139.1m, year 4 the cost will be £270m, and year 5 the cost will be £298m, and that can be amply covered by reversing the cuts in capital gains tax.

NEXT UP WAS AN APPEARANCE ON SKY TV’s BREAKFAST SHOW

Before we go into a transcript of the Sky interview, a little background is needed. The Labour Party, folllowing its usual campaign style of offering massive increases in public spending, and evasively mumbling something about taxing the rich when questioned bout how the extra expenditure will be funded, has already promised to spend money raised by reversing recent cuts to Capital Gains Tax (estimated at around £2bn) in a number of different areas including increased education budgets, more funding for arts, and higher welfare benefits.

SKY TRANSCRIPT – key sections

Sarah Jane Mee: Ok, but just going back, you have said that reversing cuts to capital gains tax will help arts funding schools and welfare – will that be in the manifesto fully costed?

Diane Abbott: Our policies will be fully costed, and I have to say I think it suits the Tories not to talk about the loss of 20,000 police officers, not to talk about the rise in violent crime, but to quibble about figures. Our manifesto will be fully costed and what people want to know, they want answers to their worries about the rise in violent crime.

Sarah Jane Mee: Well [the Conservatives] are saying it’s nonsensical because you’ve already spent this money when talking about other pledges – you’ve committed to – the capital gains tax – the money you’ll get from that – that £2bn – to things like schools, welfare and the arts, so you’ve already spent that money – how can you spend it on 10,000 police officers.

Diane Abbott: We’ve not actually committed that money to anything, we’ve used these huge cuts in capital gains tax, cuts which will only help the top 5%, we’ve used them to illustrate the type of places where we could get the money to fund some of our policies, but as we roll out our manifesto, you will see that each policy pledge is specifically costed, and this is a really important issue – the rise in violent crime on our streets.

Sarah Jane Mee: But you’ve made promises – Jeremy Corbyn, John McDonnell (Labour economic spokesman), have all stood up and said by reversing capital gains tax, we will help tackle these problems.

Diane Abbott: You will find that we haven’t specifically allocated the money. We are rolling out our manifesto, and this morning I am specifically allocating some of the £2.7bn to funding the 10,000 policemen.

One has to wonder what she will allocate it to tomorrow morning.

NOW OVER TO HER FINAL APPEANCE OF THE DAY (we hope) ON INDEPENDENT TELEVISION’S GOOD MORNING BRITAIN.

Having appeared to suggest earlier that policies already announced by Labour may never have been intended for inclusion in the party’s manifesto, or that massive tax increases would be needed to pay for them, in her next appearance abbot tries to back pedal by saying that the party is not promising anything but merely illustrating what they might do if elected. Unkind souls might suggest that if the party does not know what policies it will implement six weekes before an election they are unfit to govern by virtue of being a bunch of clueless incompetents.

GOOD MORNING BRITAIN TRANSCRIPT (key points)
The conversation has been steered by Piers Morgan to the number of times (12 according to his notes) Labour have promised to allocate this increased Capital Gains Tax revenue to specific projects:

Diane Abbott: I know you referenced that we’ve promised it, we’ve pledged it in to other areas – we’ve not pledged it in to other areas. We’ve always used it as an illustration of the type of Tory tax cut we’re going to reverse, but now as we roll out our manifesto, we’re specifically saying how we’re going to pay for the specific items in our manifesto.

Susanna Reid: This is the difference that you’re trying to make between a pledge and an illustration, because all your critics will say in August last year arts funding, Jeremy Corbyn promised money saying that that can be funded through a reversal of reductions in capital gains tax. On schools he would deal with the teacher shortage and rising class sizes by reversing the capital gains tax cut and on welfare John McDonnell, your shadow Chancellor, said that he would use the capital gains tax reversal to reverse the cuts in universal credits. So we’ve got to discount now all of those pledges and stick with this one. Is that the case?

UK Asylum Seekers DEMAND ‘VIP’ Treatment

Arguments will rage for some time over how Britain should respond to the immigrant crisis. The left insist we should allow in anyone who arrives at our borders without travel documents or even a national ID card to prove they are who they say they are (including the one wearing suicide vest and carrying AK 47s), more level headed opinions is saying, “OK, genuine refugees and children maybe, but illiterate men of working age, maybe we should question them and send back those whose only skills are begging or making IEDs.

Without getting involved in that issue right now, I do get the impression that many of the ‘refugees’ are labouring under the misapprehension that they are somehow doing Britain a favour by coming here to live well at the taxpayers expense. Take the example below:

Taxpayer-funded three-star hotel accommodation provided for asylum seekers has been labelled discriminatory because paying guests receive better food than migrants who demand their “VIP status” be recognised.

Private contractor Clearsprings is housing 129 refugees at the Mediterranean-themed Europa Gatwick Hotel where migrants have their own rooms, with en-suite bathrooms, plus a television and tea and coffee-making facilities.

Yet, according to the Mail on Sunday, one of them was indignant about the conditions and demanded that they should be treated like VIPs.

The man, who has previously worked at hotels in Dubai, said: “We should be considered VIPs because we are long-staying guests. We are making money for this hotel.”

Who the fuck do these gimmegrants think they are? Many British people who have JOBS and pay taxes to the British government could not afford that standard of accommodation if they went to London.

Cash-Strapped’ National Health Service Is Funding ‘Reiki’ Spiritual Therapy

When I saw the headline (above) to this story, I just felt that even in these dying days of blog.co.uk, Jenny Greenteeth can still deliver a toxic bite. And so I posted this brief rant A reminder to those who screech that we must pour ever greater amounts of money into the NHS just exactly what kind of shit the bean counters and bureaucratic empire builders have been wasting our tax cash on to get the service into the catastrpohic state it finds itself in now.

May I add that I’ve nothing against Reiki (or homeopathy, or acupuncture), mere mention of which is enough to make the internet army of science tits go off on a massive hatefest, but as those things offer doubtful benefits, I feel that people who want such services should pay practicioners out of their own pockets. I mean, if we are paying for laying on of hands, what next? Exorcism on the NHS? Voodoo spells on the NHS? And as laying on of hands, i.e. hand jobs has been mentioned, how about prostitutes on the NHS?

Should anyone disagree with me on this, I will take it as your offer to pay for my Chateuneuf-Du-Pape and Chablis Premier Cru, both of which contribute far more to my continued good health that a head rub, a drink of water and a prick with a needle would.
