It is now eight years since we reported the assault of the FUKUS Axis (France, UK and USA,) on Libya. The regime change action, led from behind by Barack Obama, to overthow the regime of the tyrant Muammar Gaddafi was the first in a spate of such engagements, and its failure to brink western style, LGBT rights obsessed neo – liberal democracy to the country, instead transforming it from Africa’s most prosperous and socially advanced nation ino a failed state in which three rival factions have ever since the death of Gaddafi, claimed to be the legitimate government, has taught the United Nations, NATO, the three main participants in the attack on Libya and the Military – Industrial complex nothing at all (viz the failed egime change war in Syria.)

The Libyan civil war that borke out after the murder of Gadaffi by western backed rebels is now well into its eighth year. The current state of play is that warlord Khalifa Haftar lays siege to Tripoli, the nation’s capital and seat of the United Nations-backed government (which has no influence outside the government compunt in the capital city.

Haftar’s attack has escalated the violence that has plagued the country since the downfall of longtime dictator Gaddafi in the 2011 Arab Spring  which was of course kicked off by the idiotic blethering of Barack Obama who, in an ill advised speech in Cairo, pledged that the USA would support any bunch of savaged who tried to overthrow a tyrant who was not in Washington’s pocket. Haftar’s Libyan National Army, which claims to control over two-thirds of the nation’s territory, most of which is unpopulated destrert in the south, stands accused of dozens of war crimes, including a deadly airstrike on a Tripoli migrant detention center, as many nations around the world allegedly shift allegiances toward the warlord and away from the U.N.-backed government.

Almost 5,000 miles away in Washington, both the Libyan government and the rebels have inked multi-million dollar deals with prominent D.C. lobbyists as they aim to win the backing of American policymakers.

Caught with their pants down by the success of Haftar’s attack the UN recognised government’s PR team, Mercury Public Affairs and Prime Policy Group have added only 17 foreign agents to foreign influence operations for the Libyan government since early May. These include former Rep. John Tanner (D-Tenn.), a longtime stalwart on the House Foreign Affairs Committee and vice chairman of Prime Policy Group, and Edward Cox, former policy advisor to retired Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah).

The government agreed to pay Mercury $2 million annually in retaining their services. Prime Policy Group, on the other hand, says it made a verbal agreement to work on a pro-bono basis.

“A unified, democratic Libya is in the best interest of Libyans and furthers the security goals of the United States,” the organization said in a press release.

Haftar’s Lbyan National Army has contracted five foreign agents and operatives at Linden Government Solutions, a Texas firm headed by former Bush administration official Stephen Payne. The arrangement, first reported by the AP, will officially include meetings with U.S. officials, “international coalition building and general public relations.”

Payne has an extensive history with the troubled North African nation. He visited in 2011 with former Rep. Curt Weldon (R-Penn.) before the fall of Gaddafi, helping to negotiate the release of three imprisoned journalists. At the same time, he was bankrolling Weldon’s visit in hopes the former congressman could convince Gaddafi to step down. Payne has close ties to three of Gaddafi’s sons.

The deal with Linden is worth about $2 million. Both parties are believed to have interests in Libyan’s oil business, as Payne and legal counsel Brian Ettinger have deep ties in international energy markets and Haftar recently gained control of El Sharara, Libya’s largest oil field.

The Obama administration fervently backed the Government of National Accord, saying America’s partnership with the government “is in America’s national security interest in our fight against ISIL.” While the U.S. and other major powers have nominally pledged support for Tripoli’s Government of National Accord for years, Haftar’s military success has made many reconsider where their allegiances lie.

The Trump administration appears to be divided on which side to support, with the president reportedly praising the warlord for his victories against Islamist groups and encouraging the Libyan National Army’s march on Tripoli in an April phone call. National Security Advisor John Bolton also encouraged Haftar’s attack, according to diplomatic sources.

Amnesty International: “US & allies war of annihilation” in Raqqa, Syria had devastating toll on civilians.

Note: The direct link to the Amnesty report contained in this post is at the time of writing blocked by the EU and hidden by search engine filters elsewhere. People who think internet censorship is a conspiracy theory please take that on board.

The four-month military operation carried out by the US-led Coalition to oust the Islamic State from Raqqa (Syria), killed hundreds of civilians, injured many more and destroyed much of the city. This report from human rights group Amnesty International documents the experiences of four families whose cases are emblematic of wider patterns. Eight months on, the Coalition remains in denial about the human tragedy resulting from its military campaign.

Amnesty International is urging Coalition members to promptly and impartially investigate allegations of international law violations and civilian casualties, and to provide reparation to the victims and adequate assistance for the desperately needed demining and reconstruction work.

The military-industrial-humanitarian complex: Western hegemony spread by virtue signalling?

The terms ‘humanitarian’ and ‘democracy’ were once used to describe honourable behaviour and just causes. Now they have become contenders, along with science, socialism and liberal for the dubious honour of being the most abused words in the English language, routinely deployed to justify politically motivated acts of aggression which lead to death and destruction.
Words such as ‘humanitarian’ and ‘democracy’ have acquired a darker and more cynical meaning following their misappropriation to justify the invasion of sovereign nations, effect regime change and promote the spread of Western military, economic and cultural dominance around the world. The mainstream media and many human rights activists, assist these ventures by broadcasting and publishing propagandised news and by tapping into negative emotions such as fear and outrage to soften public opinion and make interference in the political affairs of sovereign states appear justified.
If you remember 2001 and the lies of western politicians and media about Saddam Hussein’s Weapons of Mass Destruction, supposedly capable of being deployed against western targets within 45 minutes, the strategy was used to swing public opinion behind the US / EU / NATO push for a war that would rid them of a maverick leader.  The public were deceived into accepting the invasion through attention-grabbing headlines crafted to abhor readers with ‘evidence’ of Saddam’s butchery and to generate strong emotional reactions which would cause people to think with their hearts rather than their heads.
One story was written by UK Labour MP Ann Clwyd, and published by the one time newspaper of record The Times  two days before the US-led Coalition of the Willing began pounding Iraq’s cities and infrastructure with carpet bombing attacks. Clwyd claimed that Saddam had demonstrated a ‘human-shredding machine’ into which adversaries were fed and reduced to fish food. It is of course a variation on a scence in the Coen brothers film Fargo in which a wood shredder is used to render a corpse unidentifiable.
The article, under the title “See men shredded, then say you don’t back war” was quoted by other newspapers and by TV and radio news and caused readers to feel revulsion towards Saddam and his regime, and made the anti-war lobby appear sympathetic to a murderous regime dubbed by one tabloid, “The Butchers Of Bagdhad,” and indifferent to the plight of the Iraqi people. The story was challenged by anti – war campaigners and no evidence of such a device has been found. And for the record Saddam was supported by more than half of Iraquis, a popularity he achieved by the simple expedient of using a significant proportion of his country’s oil revenues to provide generous welfare payments.

The Iraqi dictator was certainly no angel, but he did manage to keep down the extremist elements in his country ,and of course, his removal by the the western military powers, USA , UK and France (The FUKUS axis,) facilitated the rise of ISIS some years later. Saddam’s real crimes were well known to US and NATO intelligence services, who kept him informed about the locations of Iranian troops during the Iran-Iraq war in the 1980s, in the knowledge that he would use mustard gas and sarin against them.

The US also provided Saddam with cluster bombs and helped him acquire chemical precursor agents. US-based Human Rights Watch estimated that Saddam killed at least 290,000 of his own people while in power.  However, this figure is dwarfed by the number of Iraqis believed to have died in the aftermath of the 2003 invasion, due to occupation forces, sectarian violence or ISIS – this figure is estimated to be in the hundreds of thousands, if not in excess of a million.

The psychological shock-and-awe strategy was again employed in the lead up to NATO’s bombing of Libya, as the US and UK’s on-off relationship with Gaddafi took a turn for the worse after he planned to start selling oil in dinars (a new gold-backed pan-African currency) instead of US dollars or euros, and encouraged his African neighbors to follow suit.

The release of emails from Hillary Clinton’s private server in late 2015, just as the 2016 election campaign was getting under way revealed that such a move would have strengthened African economies and led to competition between the dinar and the dollar or euro. In fact there is in progress now a move led by Russia and China to dump the US$ as reserve currency and move to a system of settling cross border trades in the vendors currency. And earlier this year, China launched the Petroyuan, a gold-backed contract for trading oil futures, on the Shanghai stock & commodity exchange. So old Mad Dog Muammar was just unfortunate enough to be ahead of the game when he had no powerful allies to back him up.

On this occasion, we were treated to the excuse that bombing Libya and supporting the anti-Gaddafi rebels, including Al-Qaeda-affiliated elements, was necessary as Gaddafi was about to commit a massacre against the people of the rebel-controlled city of Benghazi. Another emotive claim designed to mould public opinion into accepting the war affirmed that Gaddafi was giving his soldiers Viagra so they could commit mass rape. An investigation by Amnesty International found no evidence to support this allegation and revealed that on several occasions anti-Gaddafi forces in Benghazi had made false allegations or manufactured evidence of human rights violations.

Without any sense of irony American, European and British politicians and the media now try to justify censorship of news and opinion, seeking to justify this illiberal and undemocratic activity by claiming it is necessary to silence those who spread ‘fake news’. Do we really believe governments and the media are going to censor themselves? Do we believe Google are suddenly going to cease and desist from suppressing factual information and opinions critical of their cronies in Washington? Do we believe Facebook are going to remove the globalist bias from their algorithms and give equal prominence to news and ideas that do not support Zuckerberg’s world domination agenda? Do we look as though we were born yesterday?

The concern of governments and their corporate friends about fake news is that with the rise of new media real news will leak out into the public domain and expose the fact that governments have been feeding us fake news since the modern era began with the protestant reformation.

Russia Accuses US Of White Phosphorus Attack In Syria

Completely unsubstantiated allegations to the effect that President Assad of Syria has already authorised the use of illegal weapons (poison gas) in the coming assault on Idlib, continue to proliferate in western media (the fake news industry,) and are repeated by talking heads on TV and radio. Idlib province in north west Syria borders Turkey and is the last stronghold of the ISIS / Al Nusra rebels who, armed, trained and funded by Washington and its NATO allies and The Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia, have been trying to ovrthrow the Assad regime for the past four years. In a last desperate attempt by the US Deep State to prevent the total defeat of it’s proxy war on Russia and Iran, the US appears to be trying once more to justify direct intervention in the Syrian war.

Unfortunately all the previous allegations of illegal weapons use by the Assad regime, made by Trump and his predecessor, the mass murderer and war criminal Barack Hussein Obama, have been proved to be false flag events or simply fake news.

President Trump has threatened Syrian and Russian forces currently preparing to take back the terrorist-controlled stronghold in northwestern Syria, potentially bringing the world to the brink of World War III, because Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously demonstrated he will not allow Assad to fall. But Trump’s tweets about the potential “humanitarian catastrophe” and what the US response might be have exposed a guiding principle of the US’s involvement in Syria (and indeed across the Middle East): Use of illegal weapons attack is only a humanitarian “catastrophe” if it’s carried out by opponents of US geopolitical hegemony.

In what Russian officials have been warning of since mid August, Washington officials are already blaming Assad for an attack that has not taken place yet. Russia’s foreign ministry has claimed several times its sources in Syria knew  another US-approved false flag attack was being prepared to justify direct military action.

Today we learn from independent sources that on Saturday US F15 jets reportedly dropped white phosphorus (an illegal weapon,) on Hajin, a Syrian town in the Deir Ez-Zor province. When it comes in contact with oxygen, white phosphorus can cause massive fires. Because of this, it’s banned by the Geneva Convention for use in combat. Russian officials said they’re still waiting for information on casualties.

Here’s more from RT:

Two F-15 jets on Saturday bombed the town of Hajin with white phosphorus incendiary munitions, banned under the Geneva Convention, according to the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria.

“Following the strikes, large fires were observed in the area,” Lieutenant-General Vladimir Savchenko said Sunday. There’s still no information on casualties caused by the bombing run, he added.

The US promptly denied responsibility for the attack and expects the world to believe its denials. Yet when Washington accuses Syria or Russia of war crimes, their denials are met with derision. Well we would be foolish to believe without question anything Russia or the Assad government said, which is who independent inspectors from the Organisation for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons hve visited sites of alleged chemical weapon attacks and found no evidence to link the assad regime to the use of poison gas.

A Pentagon spokesperson denied the allegations of dropping white phosphorus bombs. “At this time, we have not received any reports of any use of white phosphorous,” Commander Sean Robertson told the media on Sunday. “None of the military units in the area are even equipped with white phosphorous munitions of any kind.”

Despite these outraged denials by US military and Department of Defense officials, photos of the attack have emerged on social media. Note the bright white flames of the incendiary mareial, an indicator that the substance is phosphorous :

Islamic State still controls a pocket of territory in Deir Ezzor between the Euphrates River and the Iraqi border, and also has scattered bases across Syrian’s eastern desert desert. The use of any incendiary munitions in populated civilian areas was banned by Protocol III of the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons, which the US signed the protocol back in 2009.

The Kremlin feels it has done enough to secure the regime of President Assad, the remnants of the Sunni Muslim Free Syrian Army are no longer capable of mounting a challenge and the Syrians, along with Shi’ite militias in Iraq and Kurdish irregulars, backed by Iranian Republic an Guard troops ought to be capable of dealing with ISIS

Propaganda War: US Officials Working to Keep Russia, Europe at Odds
Speaking to the US Senate Armed Services Committee this month, Breedlove said that ” Russia and the Assad regime are deliberately weaponizing migration from Syria in an attempt to overwhelm European structures and break European resolve.” These irrational remarks, and the mainstream media’s ability to convey them with a straight face, are an indication of a broken system, experts suggest.

US Allies Now Fighting CIA-Backed Terror Groups In Syria
The idea that ISIS has very close links with the USA has gone beyond conspiracy theory, or anti US propaganda, the proof is out there. We have previously reported on the US government’s links to ISIS and revealed the vital role of NATO member Turkey in supporting the terrorists in their campaign which aims to create an Islamic Caliphate stretching from the Mediterranean Sea to the Persian Gulf

Turkey and Sadui Arabia Already Have Troops Fighting In Syria
Even mainstream media has been forced to concede that Turkey and Saudi Arabia are apparently ready to send ground forces to the Syrian battlefield as Assad’s forces, backed by Russian air power and Iranian elite troops but continue to grind down ISIS forces equipped with US made arms and ammunition via Saudi Arabia and funded by Turkey’s illegal oil trade with the terrorist group.

Crazy Obama Administration Claims It Brought Peace And Security To Syria In 2015
As fighting intensifies between ISIS, The Assad regime and its Russian, Iranian and Chinese allies and the FUKUS axis (France, UK, US) with support from Turkey as that rogue state wages a genocial campaign against the Kurds, the increasingly insane warmongers of the Obama administration is telling US voters they have brought peace and security to Syria Fortunately for Americans with enough nous to question the official narrative, new media is getting the truth out to ever increasing audiences.

Captured ISIS fighter says ‘trained in Turkey, ISIS thinks it’s safer than Syria’

Libya Closes Tripoli’s Only Airport After Rockets Fired

Libyan Airlines plane lands at Tripoli
Tripoli airport: No planes taking off or landing until further notice. (Picture: http://www.dw.com/

The only operational airport in the Libyan capital of Tripoli has suspended all flights. Rival groups have been fighting in Tripoli suburbs over the past few days.We have mentioned many times that prior to the ousting of the Gadaffi regime and the murder of Colonel Gadaffi, the Libyan dictator, in an Obama led, US / EU / NATO regime change coup in 2011, Libya was the richest and most advanced state on the African continent. Now it is a failed state embroiled in a tripartate civil war, and things don’t look likely to imptove any time soon.

Clashes in Libya’s capital of Tripoli have caused a 48-hour closure of Mitiga International airport, the city’s only operational airport. A spokesman for the state airline Libyan Airlines said authorities closed the airport on Friday after some rockets were fired in its direction. Flights were diverted to Misrata airport, which lies 190 kilometers (120 miles) east of Tripoli.

Rival militias have been fighting for days in suburbs south of Tripoli. The clashes erupted on Monday and have left at least 39 dead, including civilians, and wounded 119 others, Libya’s Health Ministry said on Thursday.

Though a ceasefire deal was agreed to on Thursday, the conflict reignited on Thursday and continued into Friday.

Tripoli has been at the center of Libya’s seven-year conflict, which began with an uprising that overthrew and killed longtime ruler Moammar Gadhafi. The country is currently governed by rival authorities in the Libyan capital and in the east, each side backed by various militias. The fighting has resulted in refugees migrating to Europe to flee the conflict, many using fragile boats in an attempt to cross the Mediterranean Sea.

Native Dutch Told to ‘Get Out’ if They Don’t Want to Be a Minority in Own Homeland

the daily stirrer
Leaders of the DENK party, a Muslim supremacist group

Anyone native Dutch person who is concerned about the possibily of Dutch people becoming a minority in an increasingly ‘multicultural’ Netherlands should leave, according to the leader of Muslim extremist, pro-migrant party DENK.

Tunahan Kuzu (pictured above, right), whose founded-by-migrants, for migrants party wants to create a 1,000-agent ‘racism police’ to drive up prosecutions against people with “xenophobic” beliefs (i.e. anyone who doesn’t accept that Netherlands is an Islamic theocracy), made his controversial statement in a YouTube video earlier this week.

In a conversation about identity in the Netherlands, the Istanbul-born MP tells Turkish-origin YouTuber Ismail Ilgun: “When Dutch people see you as a foreigner, they are basically saying they feel superior and that you don’t belong.”

Calling for the tables to be turned, he said any native Dutch people with concerns about “the changing face of the Netherlands, where different people from different backgrounds live together in a city like Zaandam or a neighbourhood like Poelenburg” should “get the hell out”.

Famous for his ‘Hoodvlogs’ videos showcasing the exploits of Turkish youths in Poelenburg, a crime-plagued “problem district” of Zaandam where less than 30 percent of the population is Dutch, Ilgun was branded “scum of the earth” by Prime Minister Mark Rutte in 2016.

The Dutch have been one of the most tolerant and welcoming nations to both Indonesian and Turkish immigrants since at least the 1960’s, and from many other nations since, and look where it has got them. These bold as brass invaders can spout whatever hatred and threats they like without fear because all they have known is tolerance from the supplicant natives who have mostly been cowed into silence.

Europe used to be at the forefront of intellectual ability and innovation, while respecting the traditions responsible for such success. How did so many collective minds lose the ability to think critically? Was there a mind numbing virus that affected only indigenous Europeans? Was there a secret plan implemented that miraculously lowered the IQ of Europeans—after which, of course, they couldn’t figure out what happened? How does a continent persuade itself that it needs to die the death of cultural exitinction, and celebrate it with rainbow regalia? There’s a bit of angry buzzing from a few who realize they’ve been played for fools. The sort of frenzied buzzing one hears a disoriented fly make before the fly swatter silences it once and for all. The Russians, Chinese, Indians, Japanese—none have been as stratospherically stupid as Europeans.

Stefan Molyneaux posted a video of his conversation with Jared Taylor on YouTube about this very question. To make a long story short, they both suggested that the reason for this capitulation is that the West is a guilt culture, based on our dominant religion Christianity. The Christian churches have played on this for 1600 years.
“Jesus died on the cross for YOUR sins.”
“Tough, I didn’t ask him to.”

This policy of guilt tripping us worked until the nineteenth century when people started to openly question the nonsensical stories of Christianity. Just when we should have broken free of the tyranny of power addicted priests, along came Cultural Marxism and guilt tripped many of us about inequality. This guilt culture is very susceptible to outsiders who do not feel guilt as we do to take advantage of us. It can be seen all over Europe and north America.

Some see in Nietzsche’s writings an astute understanding of the political power of guilt. Those groups who harbor resentment towards those who have wealth, power, artistic excellence, end up hating them and wanting to take what the more affluent class have. What’s the most cunning way to revolt in a guilt driven culture? Not by using physical force against people who control the wealth, the police and the standing armies. By far the most effective approach is to undermine the fabric of society by accusing the dominant culture of victimising the minorities. Thus Cultural Marxism cold have been made to order for those groups whose members have not succeeded. The purpose of Cultural Marxism’s main weapon, politically correct thinking, is to make the successful feel guilty, immoral and unjust for succeeding and enjoying an affluent lifestyle.

The guilt induced must be profound enough to make those who have done well feel immoral for having what they do. They can be shamed into giving up what they have for the sake of the “oppressed.” A very crafty way to undermine those who have what you want, without having to resort to force. Just make them feel morally inferior and guilty, and their world is your oyster. Some see Nietzsche as prophetic in the way the PC progressives toss around morally loaded terms, and take on the role of modern Pharisees. Taking them seriously was a fatal error.

By saying “guilt-based society” they are talking about what controls people’s behavior. So for instance a shame-based society (the Middle East is an example of this) people are more concerned with what other’s think of their transgressions, rather than an internal moral compass that has gone awry. That is why they will kill a daughter or sister for shaming their family, while for a European or American that concept is barbaric. If I feel bad about stealing something from work, it comes about because I’ve internalized the concept of “thou shalt not steal,” and so feel guilty whether or not anyone knows about it. Of course we (Europeans and Americans) do feel shame, and of course Arabs and Asians do feel guilt to some extent. But the concept refers to which of these feelings tends to more strongly influence our behavior.

Obviously these are generalizations but this idea of guilt controlling us runs through our religion and some pretty ancient legends and beliefs. So the theory that foreigners learn about our tendency to feel guilty when we don’t live up to the impossible standards set by ‘the perfect human being,’ the fairy story character Jesus of Nazareth, and use that to their advantage. And if you think about it, it makes sense. Can you even imagine moving to Japan and then scolding them for being racist when they won’t hire you to work for the government? They wouldn’t care because for them racism is not something to be ashamed of.

Official Report On Douma Gas Attack Discredits Warmongers’s Propaganda.

One who deceives will always find those who allow themselves to be deceived,”
Niccolo Machiavelli

syria-chemical-attack-douma-1302933“I was lured with cookies and then sprayed with water,” says alleged child victim of the Douma chemical attack (Picture: Express news )

The thoughts of the Renaissance-era’s most famous political philosopher’s are often as relevant today as when he first published them in the sixteenth century and the above quotation describe perfectly the politically motivated allegation that Syrian forces loyal to President Bashar al Assad launched a chemical weapon attack on the city of Douma, 10km northeast of Damascus, with nerve gas on April 7, 2018.

More concerning perhaps than the fabrication of the story by Salafist (Islamic extremist) groups (possibly in collaboration with the intelligence agencies of western governments,)  and the ulterior motive behind it, to provoke armed conflict betwen military superpowers, was the readiness of western political establishments and media to believe it. The ISIS / Al Nusra rebels were at the time struggling to hang on to territory that had been occupied by their Islamic State fundamentalist rebellion for seven years, and was under siege by the Syrian Arab Army with Iranian and Russian support. Assad and his allies were on the brink of victory, they had absolutely nothing to gain from an act that could only arouse hostility in the rest of the world.

And yet, apart from the usual chorus of claims from alt_media sources that it was a false flag incident there was little analysis from the mainstream news organisations to point out the inconsistencies in the official narrative.

The last ditch effort to outrage world opinion and put the West on a collision course with Russia, Iran and probably China almost worked when the Trump administration, supported by France’s Emmanuel Macron and Britain’s Theresa May, decided to launch a missile strike against Syria on the back of it.

The last time the major nuclear powers had been so close to direct conflict was the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962. The fact that the attack came after years of US / NATO provocations of Russia, from the blatant breach of a treaty signed at the break up of the Soviet Union in 1991, in which NATO and the EU agreed they would not seek to recruit former Soviet Union states (e.g. Lithuania, Ukraine) or Warsaw Pact members such as Poland and Hungary to western economic and military alliances. In return Russia would allow those states full independence to transform themselves into democracies.

Now many former Soviet Union and Warsaw Pact members have full membership of NATO and the EU, with others seeking to join. Further provocations have included the CIA engineered destabilisation of Ukraine, the imposition of economic sanctions and military interventions in third world nations.

In the world view of neocons, neo – liberals cultural Marxists and other regime-change enthusiasts the world is reduced to a gunfight-at-the-OK-corral simplicity in which non-Western nations, the guys in black hats, and the western powers which like to think of themselves as liberal democracies though in reality they are corporate meritocracies, wear white hats. People, individuals and human communities are of no more significance than toy cowboys in a child’s game. In this game however, players are manoeuvring for wealth and power and it is real lives they sacrifice, not plastic toys.

Independent commentators have always maintained that the rebellion in Syria was backed by the USA, NATO and Saudi Arabia. Syria is Russia’s only ally with a Mediterranean coastline and geopolitical strategists see the fulfillment of Saudi Arabia’s long term ambition to build an oil and gas pipeline from the Persian Gulf to the Mediterranean via Jordan, Syria and Turkey as a way to undermine Russia’s oil trade with Europe.

It was due only to the astute leadership of Vladimir and the Russian government to tolerate a loss of face by offering no response to what was undoubtedly an act of war by Washington and its allies against an ally of Russia and China, that armed conflict, with the possibility of escalation to nuclear warfare, was avoided.

Instead it was agreed that both sides would accept the result of an inquiry conducted by the internationally recognised Organisation for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons, (OPCW).

Now the initial findings of the OPCW inspectors have been published in an interim report, based on the results of its on-site investigations into claims made mainly by British and French political figures and reported in the most lurid terms by mainstream media that a nerve gas attack took place in Douma on April 7, and it makes grim reading for the army of warmongers on both the left and right of the political spectrum as it does for those with financial interests in the military / industrial complex and the strange, insubstantial creatures who hate capitalism but yearn for a global, authoritarian government.  Many left wing ideologues who’ve made a career out of defending the indefensible, and their brainwashed followers as going to end up looking extremely foolish after asserting that there was irrefutable evidence that Assad’s forces carried out the attack, just as they did after previous allegations of war crimes by ‘fascist dictators’ who stood in the way of US / EU economic hegemony.

The short snippet below, from the interim report, shows it will make very grim reading for those who urged direct western intervention in the Syrian war, and will in the long term damage the case for economic imperialism.

“The results show that no organophosphorous nerve agents or their degradation products [emphasis added] were detected in the environmental samples or in the plasma samples taken from alleged casualties.”

NO NERVE AGENTS? The gas attack on the strength of which we were meant to go to war was not even a false flag, but a pure propaganda lie aimed at starting a war that would have killed millions in order to remove a dictator who according to the evidence we have, is supported by more than half his people, not because they think his authoritarian government is wonderful but because they know, as we all do now after seeing news coverage of the atrocities inflicted by ISIS and Al Nusra rebels on innocent people, that the government most likely to take over if Assad fell would be more brutal, more theocratic and, in every way, worse.

People who have supported efforts to impose ‘freedom and democracy’ i.e. American style meritocracy on Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Ukraine and all the way back to Vietnam in the 1960s, in their orgies of self righteousness and virtue signalling forget that in a truly free nation, the people should be able to choose their own course into the future. Freedom to accept the model imposed by external powers is not freedom at all.

When Winston Churchill, a dyed-in-the-wool colonialist, expressed the opinion  that, “In wartime, truth is so precious that she should always be attended by a bodyguard of lies,” he exposed the way propaganda (fake news to employ the currently fashionable term,) has always been used to mislead the public and manipulate opinion in favour of  perpetual wars waged by the West in the interests of maintaining the elite’s grip on power and ensuring the bulk
of wealth remains concentrated in the hands of a few powerful families.

Minority Report on Douma attack exposes ‘compromised reporting & analysis’ by OPCW – MIT professor
The OPCW failed to include evidence on the Douma in its final report, so the resulting document is inherently compromised, an MIT professor said. The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) claimed that gas was dropped from the sky on the Damascus suburb. It did not directly blame on the Syrian government, however.
