The report was not entirely untrue, if you eat mostly meat and dairy, bread and chips you have about a 1 in 10000 higher chance of developing cancer. It failed to mention however that vegetarians live less long (by about six months) that people who eat a varied diet with plenty of fruit and leaf vegetables.
The the sugar nazis started up. They are calling for a tax on Mars bars.Sugar causes obesity and is addictive, it should be treated as a drug, these people say. So matchstick thin folk who like a steak or enjoy an addictive sugary snack or fizzy drink or people who like a slice of cake with their afternoon cuppa must be punished with a tax.
