What Putin Will Tell The UN

As blog.co.uk winds down to its inevitable death, I find it harder to muster the enthusiasm needed for writing scintillating blog posts. So from now until the end of days I’ll just keep posting stuff from elsewhere:

LEAKED: Putin Talking Points for UN Speech Spilled by Foreign Minister
from International Observer

On Monday, September 28, Russia President Vladimir Putin is planning a one-day trip to New York City to take part in the 70th session of the UN General Assembly, exactly 10 years after his previous speech there. This time Putin cannot afford to skip the UN session because of the jubilee character of the meeting. No doubt, his address will be one of the most closely watched by the whole world.

Knowing his reserved demeanor, nobody expects him to bang upon the podium with his shoe, but what will the Russian leader bring to New York?

In an interview on the Russian Sunday Time TV program, Putin’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov spilled the beans on what his boss would say to the world.

Of course, Putin will be talking about the economic sanctions imposed on his country by the West for Russia’s interference in Ukraine’s politics. Mr. Lavrov, expressing the position of Putin, said that the West had been “obsessed with sanctions measures, and not only toward Russia… As soon as something doesn’t go out according to their [West’s] templates—right away they grab the instrument of sanctions,” he said, and this might be the Putin’s exact future quote.

But the sanctions on Russia won’t become a major issue of Putin’s address.

***

It should be quite an amusing day with Putin talking his usual, measured, politically mature good sense while the coked up rent boy Obama rants and raves about Russian warmongering as his own US troops are active in all the major conflicts currenty going on, most of which have been started by US meddling in sovereign nation’s domestic politics during the presidency of the man who was sold as the peacemaker, joybringer and aquatic pedestrian.

Moving On

As all bloggers on this platform and most readers are aware by now, blog.co.uk will become a dead parrot blogging platform later this year. Will 5000+ posts, well over two million words and five million hits to its credit it would seem a shame to simply abandon Boggart Blog. Worse, the family our founder Jenny Greeneeth spawned (yes, Jenny does spawn, she’ that kind of creature)would be orphans.

So a new WordPress site has been set up and over the next couple of months the Boggart Blog content will be transferred. Once we are up to date, new posts will be put online at:

The Original Boggart Blog

I’m still getting over my recent experience in an NHS hospital where having rushed me in, kept me twelve days, made me feel at lot worse than when I arrived, then having promised to remove the gallstone that was causing the problems, recalled me and failed to find a gallstone, made me even more ill than I had been (but at least sent an absolutely gorrrrrrgeous Indian nurse to look after me as I came round from the anesthetic – I could have snorted cocaine off her bosom for £300 a day any time he said to show he has been paying attention – in fact I would have paid them £300) getting better has taken a while.

So if you have commented, mailed or PMd me or tried to contact any other way and I’ve not replied, well I’ll get there just as soon as I can stop thinking about that Indian nurse.

The Original Boggart Blog

The successor to the original Boggart Blog, founded in 2005 by Ian R Thorpe (i.e. the short, old, non swimming, English Ian Thorpe who has actually been Ian Thorpe much longer than that Aussie upstart. CLICK HERE to meet, the poet, author and publisher Ian R Thorpe

Ten years online, over 5 million page views, not a bad record but it seemed a shame to lose all the words because the platform we used for the first ten years closed in 2015. So we transferred five thousand posts, funny, tragic, surreal, social history in the making and carried on from there.

Racism – The English Language For Lefties Lessons Keep Rolling Out

It seems a lot of educated people in the blogosphere and on facebook and other social media were as pissed off as I was with those semi literate, politically correct, brainwashed idiots who tried to shout down intelligent discussion by screaming ‘racist’ or ‘bigot’ at anyone who disagreed with them.

These people, knowing that one of the main UK parties (the Liberal Democrats) campaigning on a globalist agenda platform in the European Parliament elections were heading for extinction while the others (Labour and Conservative) were simply treading water thanks to the Lib Dem vote collapsing, had no arguments, no policies, only blind rabid hatred of anyone who disagreed with their anti – British agenda.

In a post by longrider which is really a plug for an article by Allison Pearson on a generation so indoctrinated with politically correct ideology they think intelligent debate consists of the Fascist tactic of screaming pejorative insults at opponents.

Sadly I noticed people older that the teens / early twenties here who are afflicted with the same disease.

What in my view made the point most strongly on that Longrider posts was a comment from Stonyground:

“Who is it who has brainwashed these children so that they believe that racism, rather than being prejudice against people because of their race, is simply failing to use approved terminology when referring to race related matters?”

I can tell him that on my fiends list at Facebook and in this community, the people screaming loudest were schoolteachers. Is it any wonder our schools are turning out pupils who are illiterate when their teacher are illiterate?

Isolation, the curse of the Independent Minded

I’m a bit stuck today, just can’t get myself going. It may be withdrawal symptoms, I finished rereading The Girl Who Kicked A Hornet’s Nest last Sunday and thus am parted from Lisbeth Salander and company for a couple of years.

Or it may be winter blues, being restricted to a very slow walk my outdoor time is very restricted at this time of year and in the kind of weather we have been having.

Or perhaps it is that editing a novel is a pain in the arse.

Still, as most of the people who read Boggart Blog are pretty independent minded (I doubt many sheeple return for a second helping) I thought you might enjoy something I stumbled on today.

from Julian Walsh atWaking Times –

Today I wish to address to you a certain brand of loneliness. It is perhaps the most debilitating form of the condition. The state is sometimes referred to as “isolation” or the sense of being disconnected, apart, abandoned or simply “different” from everyone else you know. This situation is compounded when friends, coworkers and even family members begin seeing you differently. They’re not so much intrigued by your positive changes but rather disappointed by your shift in attitude and may even be concerned for your mental stability. These otherwise well-meaning souls are occasionally characterized as the “sleeping” and you may very well be part of the “awakening.”

I say “awakening” because the experience appears to be very dynamic and fluid by nature. I’m not sure I would recognize or even fully appreciated an “awake” mind for they are far and few between us. But for those who are experiencing various stages of wakening, you are as visible to me as I am to you.

A Little Moderation In The Comment Threads

Due to the reappearance of spam comments I have had to restrict unmoderated commenting to “Friends Only”. If you are a blog.co.uk member but not on my friends list please be patient, all comments will be accepted except span and abuse.

Or you can sens me a friends request, I accept all except those from businesses that regularly spam comment threads with plus for payday loans, fake designer stuff, viagra etc.

SPAM SPAM SPAM SPAM

The Spammers are back. I just spent half an hour clearing spam comments from my blog. I used to be very lazy and let spam comments go unless they particlarly offended me (e.g. Payday loans ads and for some season Ugg Boots)

But unfortunately blog.co.uk were hit with a Google ‘spam site’ penalty which killed our traffic and proved more difficult to get rid of than syphilis.

So ignoring the links to online gambling sites and other such crap is not an option this time round. From now on the only SPAM Boggart Blog will accept is the pink stuff.

Bloggies Awards Canel Science Category Because The Wrong People Keep Winning

Boggart Blog and our other half Little Nicky Machiavelli have always (well since we started blogging at least) been sceptical of the kind of climate science that dutifully produces the results politicians need as an excuse for punitive taxes on our basic essentials.

We were amused therefore to see this story from Aussie blogger Jo Nova:

Bloggies 2014 nominations — science category gone due to political correctness, pick a different category

(Bloggies BTW are, according to the organizers the Oscars of the blogosphere)

from Jo Nova:

“Last year the Best Science or Technology Weblog category was dominated entirely by climate science blogs, and 4 of the 5 were skeptics. Not surprisingly Watts Up won for the third time (congrats to Anthony). Tellingly, Skeptical Science withdrew even though the skeptics vote would have been split. (I guess they know their traffic stats.)

“This year, the bloggies has quietly announced “Best Science or Technology Weblog has been discontinued”. Ho hum? Have the organizers succumbed to political correctness for fear of letting skeptics win the award again? Seems so.

“Now we could lodge a protest, or we could just … ” Read all at Jo Nova

The best bit was about the Skeptical Science blog, BTW a sceptic – from latin – is one who neither believes nor disbelieves but questions everything, a skeptic – from Greek – is one who doubts everything. Skeptical Science blog was set up by a warmageddoninst and its routine approach was to unquestioningly accept government propaganda and academic research grant phishing while vehemently denying anything that challenged the propagandists or research grant phishers.

More Woe For Lib Dems As Clegg Speech Fails

We were drawn by this bedline because the story concerns Accrington where the Boggart Blog headquarters is situated.

Bearded Muslim pupils have right to show “full faith” says Nick Clegg.

When did the Lib Dem leader develop a lisp? Is it another sign that the stress is getting to him.

The story refers to the two 14-year-old Muslims who have been placed in “isolation” from the start of the new term at Mount Carmel Roman Catholic High School in Accrington, Lancashire.

Talks were held with the families of the two boys to resolve the problem but neither side backed down and the school has now decided the pupils can only return to school when they are clean-shaven.

The headteacher of the school, Xavier Bowers, said that the matter is not one of religion but about dress code.

In a statement issued yesterday, Mr. Bowers said: “At Mount Carmel RC High School, we believe that it’s important to be clear about what we expect from students in all aspects of school life, including appearance and uniform.”

And once these lads have scraped the bumfluff from their chins they can return to class and learn to say Hail Marys and confess their sins so they can go and commit some new ones.

Meanwhile, asked about his lisp Mr. Clegg said, “I don’t think a thpeeech impediment ith any cauthe for embarrathment in thith day and age.

When being a woman just isn’t enough

Boggart Blog readers have probably never heard of Michelle Bachman (But God has never heard of Belgium so it’s no big deal)

Ms Bachman is the rather fetching (to the eyes of us gentlemen of a certain age) but totally bonkers U S Congresswoman who about this time last year was aborting her big to be Republican candidate in the U S Presidential election.

Michelle Bachman

The most notable thing about her futile run for the presidency was the hate attacks she attracted from Obama supporters who claim to love women, gays and members of any minority you care to name except the one minority it is OK to hate, middle aged, solvent white, heterosexual males with no alcohol, drug or mental health issues and no potentially fatal / debilitating diseases.

Two Republican politicians have experienced genuine hatred from America’s left – led media in the last five years: Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann. It’s no coincidence that they are ladies and probably no coincidence that they are both good looking.

They received a special scorn for being women who reject a narrow, liberal reading of feminism – as well as getting the rough end of the classic misogynist view that women aren’t terribly suited to running the country. Palin was cast as dumb, Bachmann as shrill.

Both were more intelligent than many of their critics and both have left public life with their fan base intact and Sarah Palin, while no Judi Dench is a far better speaker than Mr. Hopey Changey autocue man Barack Obama) for all his cliches and banalities. Even if her speeches contain no more common sense than his, they certainly contain less personal pronouns.

Bachmann was never going to be President, she was not only up against the sexism of the Republican old guard but the naked hatred of the so called progressive liberals who, in their ecstasies of self loathing seem to have forgotten that people are legally entitled to hold different opinions to those approved by The White House.
