UK Govt Scientist Admits Lockdown Was A “Monumental Mistake On A Global Scale”

Authored by Paul Joseph Watson via Summit News,

A scientific advisor to the UK government says the coronavirus lockdown was a “panic measure” and a “monumental mistake on a global scale.”

Infectious diseases expert and University of Edinburgh professor Mark Woolhouse acknowledged that the decision to lockdown in March was a “crude measure” that was enacted because “we couldn’t think of anything better to do.”

Lockdown was a panic measure and I believe history will say trying to control Covid-19 through lockdown was a monumental mistake on a global scale, the cure was worse than the disease,” said Woolhouse, who is now calling on the government to unlock society before more damage is done.

“I never want to see national lockdown again,” he added.

“It was always a temporary measure that simply delayed the stage of the epidemic we see now. It was never going to change anything fundamentally.”

The professor asserts that the impact of the response to coronavirus will be worse than the virus itself.

“I believe the harm lockdown is doing to our education, health care access, and broader aspects of our economy and society will turn out to be at least as great as the harm done by COVID-19,” said Woolhouse.

Richard Sullivan, professor of cancer at King’s College London, previously warned that there will be more excess cancer deaths over the next 5 years than the number of people who die from coronavirus in the UK due to the disruption caused by the coronavirus lockdown, which is preventing cancer victims from getting treatment.

Figures also show that there were more excess deaths during the 2017-18 flu season (around 50,000) than the total number of people in the UK who have died from coronavirus (41,433).

However, a survey conducted last month found that Brits thought around 7 per cent of the population, 5 million people, had been killed by COVID-19.

For every 3 COVID19 deaths lockdown may have caused 2 more – Official
The 4 month lockdown imposed by government on the advice of “scientists” while realists in the medical profession said poses almost zero risk to healthy people under the age of seventy, may have indirectly caused 16,000 excess deaths in two months, according to government analysts. This is what those medical realists, predicted at the outset.

Loughborough, Sheffield Universities shows ‘COVID deaths’ fraud
A new study by academics at the School of Business and Economics and The University of Sheffield, and economic consultants at Economic Insight, seeks to provide a more statistically robust approach to the question: “How many deaths in England and Wales are due to COVID-19?”. Red Flags Soar As Big Pharma Given Exemption From COVID-19 Vaccine Liability Claims
Last week we warned readers to be cautious about new COVID-19 vaccines, highlighting how key parts of the clinical trials are being skipped as big pharma will not be held accountable for adverse side effects for administering the experimental drugs. A senior executive from AstraZeneca, Britain’s second-largest drugmaker, told Reuters that his company was just granted protection from … Continue reading

Latest COVID Scam move a step too far?

The scam goes on with the latest move to keep the coronavirus fear and panic conspiracy afloat being a rumour that the government will ask over 50s in Britain to”shield” (i.e. place themselves under house arrest,) throughout the winter. But it may be the tipping point, public rteaction has been totally negative.

Coronavirus Pandemic: The Scam Continues
Just when we thought it was safe to go out in the fresh air …… the government and their “scientific advisers have thought of a way to extend the scam. It seems that as we have been saying since March, trashing the economy and destroying the fabric of society is less impoortant to them than advancing their plan for a global, authoritarian government …Continue reading

Covid virus tests useless

As the Coronavirus rolls on with every trumpeted breakthrough fizzling out into a great big nothing, political leaders and media ‘influencers’ keep telling us we must follow the science. Yet with so much contradictory and conflicting evidence, perhaps it’s time we learned that “following the science” is the worst thing we can do? The Daily Stirrer has been telling you since the start of the farrago that scientist is a synonym of wanker,

Covid 19: Statistics, Lies and the Corruption Of Science. As the COVID — 19 pandemic continues to dominate the news and defy the efforts of researchers to understand its many mysteries, including its origins and why it affects people who contract the virus in wildly different ways, one thing we have learned for certain so far is the extent to which the Pharmaceuticals manufacturers cartel (colloquially Big Pharma,) exercise a pernicious influence over medical research and healthcare.

COVID19 PCR Tests are Scientifically MeaninglessPoliticians and “experts” scream and shout about testing and isolation being the way to halt the COVID 19 pandemic to a halt, but everything else they hsve told us about the disease has been absolute bollocks, why should this be any different?
Well surprise, surprise, it isn’t any different. The idea that testing everybody ten times a day (OK I might be exaggerating for effect,) will do any good is just another diversionary tactic …

Critics Batter The Fake Science Used To Justify The Lockdown As Boris Waffles
Regular readers may recall this blog was among the first to expose the fact that the pandemic model predicting 500,000 COVID – 19 deaths if the entire nation was not placed under indefinite house arrest was based on a deeply flawed mathematical model of the pandemic built by a “scientist” at Imperial College, London, a college heavily reliant on funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation. You may also recall we have reported on the determination of psychopathic megalomaniac Gates to insert himself into this phoney crisis

World Leaders Insist ‘Economic Lockdowns Ravage the Very Fabric of Societies’
An impressive array of more than 500 prominent world leaders, academics, and Nobel Laureates have written “A Call to Defend Democracy” in the face of a worldwide rise in government authoritarianism during the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic. The June 25 text declares that beyond health concerns the COVID-19 pandemic is “a political crisis that threatens the future of liberal democracy.”

Oxford Covid Vaccine Fails But Big Pharma Will Sell It Anyway
Many highly – placed members of the lockdown forever cult, Bill Gates among them, have been spreading the idea that lockdown must continue until a vaccine for COVID – 19 is available because only a vaccine can save us. More level headed types (i.e. those of us routinely dismissed as conspiracy theorists, have warned that as the virus affects the upper respiratory tract and nasal passages, where there can be no antibody response it is unlikely there will ever be an effective vaccine …

Scientist who convinced Boris lockdown was the only way to beat coronavirus criticised many times for flawed research

Has The World Health Organisation Been Helping Chinese Coronavirus Cover Up
Many people suspected as far back as January, when stories about an epidemic of a new virus began to leak out of China that we were not and would not be told the whole story. The virus infecting thousands of Chinese in the large inland city of Wuhan was, we learned, a strain of corona virus, the genre that infects us with the common cold, influenza and a host of other infections of varying seriousness.

Coronavirus deaths: Are The Authorities Deceiving Us?Yesterday we reported that a Canadian outfit had carried out an analysis of China’s response to Coronavirus and concluded that while politicians and academics (aka “scientists” or “experts”) are heaping praise on the way the regime in Beijing has contained and controlled its epidemic, the Chinese have actually been lying, the epidemc is still raging and numbers of infections and deaths from COVID – 19 are far higher than reported,

Report: Iowa University Instructor Issues Warning That Not Supporting BLM Is ‘Grounds For Dismissal’

An Iowa State University instructor has issued a warning to students that if they express opinion that isn’t in line with support for Black Lives Matter protesters, or if they hold pro-life opinions they could be dismissed from the institution.

“No arguments against gay marriage, abortion, Black Lives Matter, etc.”

The Young America’s Foundation (YAF) raised a red flag over the warning on a syllabus by Chloe Clark, in which she wrote “Any instances of othering that you participate in intentionally (racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, sorophobia, transphobia, classism, mocking of mental health issues, body shaming, etc.) in class are grounds for dismissal from the classroom.”

Clark added “The same goes for any papers/projects. You cannot choose any topic that takes at its base that one side doesn’t deserve the same basic human rights as you do (i.e. no arguments against gay marriage, abortion, Black Lives Matter, etc.)”

The Daily Caller notes that the YAF was alerted to the warning through its Campus Bias Tip Line.

When contacted by the Daily Caller, the university said that Clark’s syllabus warning is “inconsistent with the university’s standards and its commitment to the First Amendment rights of students.”

A statement by the University noted that “After reviewing this issue with the faculty member, the syllabus has been corrected to ensure it is consistent with university policy,”

“Moreover, the faculty member is being provided additional information regarding the First Amendment policies of the University,” it added.

“It is alarming that a faculty member would think openly declaring her intent to silence dissent is in line with the practice of education or the Constitution,” YAF spokesperson Spencer Brown told the Daily Caller.

The development is part of a trend of the erosion of freedom of expression and opinion on campuses.

Indeed, a recent survey conducted by College Fix found that a majority of conservative students say they ‘self censor’ around others so as not to offend or upset leftists.

“With the current political climate, do you expect to self-censor yourself in class this semester so your professors or peers don’t take offense at your ideas?” the survey asked.

A total of 54 percent of conservatives said they would indeed keep their political views to themselves for this reason.

On the flip side, only 15% of those who identified as Democrats said they would temper their political opinions so as not to cause friction.

A survey conducted last year also found that almost three quarters of conservative students say they are withholding their political views both in class and from their written work for fear that they will be downgraded by leftist professors.

The idea of free speech and freedom of expression has become so warped on campuses that leftist college students believe it’s their ‘right’ to deny others their First Amendment.

Students who have publicly professed conservative opinions have been subjected to investigation and punishment by professors and college officials.

In addition, black and native American students at several colleges and universities are increasingly demanding action against professors and academics who have expressed opinions not directly in line with their own.

Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia is to mandate that all of its students take a “Race and Ethnicity Requirement” course from next year, following consistent demands from the university’s black student group.

A senior researcher at Michigan State University was effectively fired after sharing facts from a study conducted last year that conclusively proved there is no widespread racial bias in police shootings.

At Loyola University New Orleans, students demanded the firing of professor Walter Block over his opinions on slavery, even though he vehemently opposes it.

At UCLA, a professor was suspended for rejecting requests to allow black students to take final exams at a later date as a response to the death of George Floyd and black lives matter protests. Accounting lecturer Gordon Klein was punished for saying that students should not be treated differently according to the colour of their skin.

Meanwhile, other academics have been lauded and rewarded for promoting opinions in line with the woke mob that even Twitter removed for being hateful.

Re-Branding Dissent – The Quiet Destruction Of Democracy
Many people, all the contributors to this publication among them, fear that democracy is being destroyed. OK, OK, hipsters will say but ‘we’ve never had democracy’, or, ‘it was destroyed long ago’, but left wing deceit aside, I think its worth actually thinking about how, many forms of democratic expression, effective dissent and peaceful self-determination are being outlawed and abolished in a sustained attack on free speech and civil rights.

Another Reason To Get Out Of EU. UKIP MEP Hits Out At Fishing Policy That Penalises British Fishing Crews

Democracy: Does It have A Future Or Has Global Totalitarianism Won?
The General Election in Greece (January 2014) could have much wider effects than most elections in small nation, the vote could decide the future of the European Union and have a major breaing on whether democracy can survive the push towards government by a global, corporate oligarchy. It look like being an interesting few months if the anti – EU party wins as polls suggest they will.

2020: The Year Freedom Died

The ‘woke’ have won – it’s too late for our unis if academics need to hide their views

‘Problematic’ university professors are too afraid to share their views – how about we cancel overly-sensitive students instead?

Opinions. They’re tricky things. “Problematic”, to use the PC buzzword of the day. People have different ones, for a start, which is not ideal. But still more problematic are the side-effects. Opinions make you think, question, evaluate and re-evaluate. They open up your mind and expand your horizons – in a climate when minds should be sealed shut and horizons close enough to touch. No wonder British academics are giving up on them.

Over the past decade, campuses have increasingly put pressure on professors and lecturers to censor themselves and their teaching material, but a You Gov report released yesterday suggests that right wing academics are feeling this pressure most strongly. Whilst both right and left-leaning university faculty members admitted to believing that the airing of political opinions might adversely impact their career prospects (cancel culture doesn’t discriminate), a poll of 820 academics found that nearly a third — 32 per cent — of those with right-wing views had completely stopped airing opinions in either their teaching or research, compared with 13 per cent of those in the centre and on the left. (OK, so it discriminates a bit – but for the greater good).

I was amazed only 32 per cent of these academics were keeping it zipped, until I realised that 336 of those who responded to the poll were retired, and that the real figure was likely to be twice that. After all, every day some public (or private) figure foolish enough to air their views on politics, gender or any other trigger topic has their scalp held up in trophy-hunting-style warning to anyone thinking of doing the same.

These transgressors don’t just lose their jobs either, as the former New York Times journalist Bari Weiss pointed out at the weekend (having herself been ‘cancelled’ for her opinions) but are rendered “radioactive” in an act she called “social murder.”

So what’s in the opinion-airing game for academics? On a good day: nothing. On a bad one, you’d get passed over for a promotion or sacked, have your publisher pull out of every forthcoming book deal, and be forced to walk up and down the country for eternity with the scarlet letter ‘T’ (for ‘toxic’) emblazoned on your back. It’s enough to make anyone think twice about making that casual Brexit quip … Continue reading >>>

Universities Are Toxic – We Told You So

‘I used to push for working class kids to go to university, but no longer: they are toxic institutions of prejudice’

by Dr Liza McKenzie for RT

I’ve spent the last 20 years of my life working with and supporting working class people to get into higher education. Today I’m wondering whether I’ve been right to do so.

I remember my first day at University. I was 31 and had gone to Nottingham University, part of the so-called elite Russell Group, from an access course for mature students. I had no idea what I was walking into. I didn’t know anyone who had been to university, and had spent the years since I left school working mainly on piece work in a factory making women’s tights.

I’d never ever been on the campus, even though I only lived only two miles away. I went to that university out of ignorance. I thought that wanting to study sociology was enough – I’d read a book about St Ann’s, the part of Nottingham where I lived, authored by two researchers who had worked at the university. The book was called Poverty: The Forgotten Englishman and was based on research about poverty in Nottingham during the 1960s. It  was written the year I was born, and I recognised my community in it; I wanted to study sociology, because I wanted to represent and fight for that community.

On that first day, two things happened. During the initial welcome speech, the vice chancellor welcomed all of the students to Nottingham and told them to enjoy the city and the university, but warned them that there were some areas of the town to avoid, that were not so welcoming – “Don’t go to St Ann’s,” he said. Which, as it was where I lived and the reason why I was at the university, was going to be more than a little difficult for me. I remember being devastated and not feeling welcome at all … Continue reading >>>

Far Left Fascist Students Force US College To Ban Free Speech

“Far left fascists, isn’t that a contradiction?” you might well ask. Many people might think so, but fascism is not a political philosphy in the way that communism, socialism, liberalism or conservatism are, it is about centralised power, in fact the word derives from a latin word, Fasces, which is a symbol of unbreakable authority. Fascism is authoritarianism, and politics of right or left can be authoritarian. In this article, from National Interest blog an example of the fascism of left wind students is presented:

Williams College Kowtows to Students Saying ‘Free Speech Harms’

authored by Jonathan Butcher

In 1755, Ephraim Williams Jr. led colonial forces and some 200 Mohawk allies into battle against French and Indian troops near Lake George, New York. But Williams marched into a deadly ambush.

He was killed in the fight, and his troops were driven back, suffering tremendous losses. But history records that those under his command fought bravely and made “a very handsome retreat.”

Today, the college that bears Williams’ name has been ambushed by its own students, and school officials have beaten a hasty and inglorious retreat.

At Williams College in Massachusetts, biology professor Dr. Luana Maroja wrote online last year that she was concerned about student and administrator attitudes regarding free speech.

She gathered more than 100 faculty signatures on a petition calling for the school to adopt what is known as the “Chicago Principles,” a statement in favor of free expression developed by the University of Chicago.

More than 60 schools have endorsed this statement, a welcome response to the disrupted events and other nonsense that have plagued universities around the country.

Some Williams students will have none of it. Maroja says that more than a dozen of them barged into a faculty meeting last November holding signs such as “free speech harms” and saying faculty were trying to “kill” the students.

After that, tensions escalated. The College Fix reports that a professor subsequently “threatened violence” if Williams adopted the Chicago statement. All this because Maroja dared to promote the idea that Williams should maintain a “climate of mutual respect.”

Williams is a private school, so the First Amendment doesn’t automatically apply to institutional activity there as it does on public college campuses. Still, students should expect that the school would want to promote the civil exchange of ideas.

And when discussions devolve into threats of violence, it’s small wonder that students opt to pursue truth via hysterical rhetoric and physical confrontation rather than through discussion and debate.

If you expected the college administration to stand up for free speech and mutual respect, think again. Earlier this week, Williams’ officials waved a white flag and announced the school will not adopt the Chicago statement but draft “speaker invitation guidelines.”

Turning away from principles protecting free speech adds to suspicions that there is a free speech crisis—or worse—at Williams.

Last month, the U.S. Department of Education launched an investigation of the college after its student government denied a pro-Israel student group official status.

As activity on campuses around the U.S. in recent years demonstrates, when individuals cannot express themselves without fear of harm, oppressors will threaten—and commit—harm.

A recent survey of college students found that more than half of respondents say shouting down speakers is “always” or “sometimes” acceptable. Sixteen percent of respondents say it is “always” or “sometimes” acceptable to use violence to stop a speech protest or rally.

These responses are disturbing. Civil society—life in the office, in your neighborhood, at your child’s soccer game—depends on people tolerating those who do not share their beliefs, not trying to silence them through intimidation or violence. The American dream dies if we live in fear of persecution.

Williams officials should take seriously the threats posed to the next generation of adults that come from limiting the ideas that can be considered on campus.

The school should require students to attend sessions on free speech during freshman orientation—and explain that hiding from ideas with which you disagree is a poor strategy for life.

New policies for public universities in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, and Wisconsin now serve as examples of how to protect everyone’s freedom of expression in a campus community.

These policies affirm the idea that anyone should be allowed to protest or demonstrate in public areas as long as they do not prevent others from doing the same. Moreover, they stipulate that their public universities must be prepared to penalize individuals who silence others.

Guest Post:I called for diversity of thought. My peers compared me to a neo-Nazi.

As I took part in a recent student leadership board meeting for the Department of Political Science at Boston University, a group that works to advise faculty on ways to improve, I offered some advice: the department could use more intellectual diversity.

I suggested more debates in the classroom, as opposed to what I had witnessed in my three years at the school, that being an assumption during class that everyone agrees.

I broached my idea after I had sat and respectfully listened to the ideas of others for an hour, but my peers, and a professor and an administrator in the room, were not about to return the favor.

One student chided me that “debate” was too aggressive of a word, that I should use “discussion” instead. Another student, a College Democrat in the room, then compared me to a well-known peer from Boston University who is often regarded as a neo-Nazi and who went to the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, noting “he has sat here in these seats asking for intellectual diversity as well.”

I felt shocked and insulted. I waited to see if either the professor or administrator or any of the other students in the room would defend me. None did. One student suggested conservatives shouldn’t major in political science at Boston University, as they’d have a hard time. The room erupted in laughter.

I wish I could say I was surprised. But after years of experiencing liberal bias, both at Boston University as well as Lehigh University, where I attended before I transferred, it felt like just another day on campus.

To that end, there are plenty of anecdotes I could supply. Here are just a few.

As a freshman, or as the administration likes to say to avoid being sexist— as a “first-year”— I was required to take an English class. My instructor was a teaching assistant, but insisted we call her professor. The morning after President Trump won, she dismissed class early because she could not stop crying. Later that day, she sent out an email giving us information about a designated “safe space” on campus to commiserate the election results. Nevermind that my university has an entire police department to protect it.

During a course I took on political theory, my professor dedicated the entire chapter on fascism to President Trump. He constantly referred to Trump as a fascist, and brought up the Mueller investigation during each class session.

In my statistics class, my professor made an entire exam question that necessitated a final conclusion that Fox News is not a reliable news source. The chi-square test is a statistic that measures the “goodness of fit” between how well an observed distribution fits with the expected distribution. We were given the average amount of gun deaths that occur per year in the United States and the average amount of terrorist attacks that are perpetrated toward Americans per year. We were also given the amount of times CNN, MSNBC, ABC and Fox News reported on each of these issues, and the idea is that one would expect the news organizations to report on the respective issues a proportional amount. When one worked out the math, Fox News’ reporting ended up having the worst goodness of fit, and we had to write that meant they were the least reliable and most unbalanced.

In other courses, I’ve been forced to include my “pronouns” in my introductions at the beginning of the term. After revealing I’m Catholic, I’ve been asked if my priests ever “microaggressed” me. I’ve been told by a climate-alarmist professor that I would face consequences if I ever brought single-use plastic into his classroom.

Were these experiences kind of annoying because I just want to get my degree and not feel like I was sitting in on my professors’ therapy sessions? Yes. Do I feel oppressed? Not even close.

These experiences have given me a beautiful thing — they’ve helped ground me in my conservative beliefs. I’ve always had these values in me, but never cared to dig into them until they felt endangered.

The more my professors and peers mocked, challenged and disputed conservatism, the more time I spent studying and learning the counterarguments against their arguments. I watched videos, read books, listened to podcasts to hear another perspective, and even helped start a Young Americans for Freedom chapter.

Because of my experiences on campus, I have become the proud conservatarian I am today. To my professors and peers, I am certain this was not what you had intended, but thank you anyway.

Medical Student Stabs Lover – career hopes ruined?

Lavinia Woodward looking demure outside the court (Picture: Daily Telegraph)

Oxford University medical student Lavinia Woodward attacked her then partner after drinking at her university accommodation at Christ Church college in 2016.

The 25-year-old was given a 10-month prison term suspended for 18 months at Oxford Crown Court in September last year after admitting unlawful wounding, but challenged her sentence at the Court of Appeal on Friday.

Judges rejected her appeal, prompting her lawyer to tell the court Woodward has accepted she will never fulfill her ambition of becoming a heart surgeon.k

That’s a bit harsh I think, if she wanted to be a heart surgeon, stabbing her lover could be considered work experience.

Universities To Be Banned From No Platforming Speakers

Sam Gyimiah – education minister for universities (Source: Daily Telegraph)

Universities in the UK are in “danger of developing a mono-culture” where only certain political and ideological views may be expressed, Mr. Sam Gyimah, the Conservative MP for East Surrey, and a minister in the education department has warned.

Mr. Gyimah said one student he met during a nationwide tour of university campuses had “Conservative bitch” written on her bedroom door after airing her political views in a lecture.

In another university, a student had his car egged for expressing his political opinions, the Member of Parliament said.

Speaking to students at King’s College London, Mr Gyimah said attempts to suppress free speech and open debate at universities are ‘chilling.’

The minister will announce a “tough guidance” program on the issue at a free-speech summit that he is chairing today in London, reports The Times.

Under the proposals, the Department for Education would take steps to protect free speech on UK campuses; the first government intervention on the issue since the free speech duty was imposed on universities as part of the Education Act in 1986, says the newspaper.

The guidelines will state that all shades of opinion must be welcome at universities, as long as it does not violate existing laws – for example, on encouraging terrorism. Any university or student union in breach of the rules may be “named, shamed or even fined” by the new Office for Students (OfS) regulator, which will have the power to deregister universities, according to the Daily Mail.

“A society in which people feel they have a legitimate right to stop someone expressing particular views on campus simply because they are unfashionable or unpopular is rather chilling,” Gyimah is expected to tel his audience at King’s College, London. “There is a risk that overzealous interpretation of a dizzying variety of rules is acting as a brake on legal free speech on campus.”

The Times reports an investigation by MPs which found “campaigners against abortion, Christian groups and conservative secularists were among those who have been denied a hearing, and even subjected to violence to prevent tem speaking at British universities”. Feminists who oppose transgender self-identification have been met with similar resistance.

Political figures have also been subjected to this form of censorship by left wing activists at universities. In February, pro-Brexit Conservative MP Jacob Rees-Mogg was caught in the middle of a fight on Bristol University campus when protesters violently disrupted a student event to prevent him speaking.

The new proposals were criticised by Labour’s shadow universities minister, Gordon Marsden, who said that Gyimah was trying to “micromanage free speech issues”. Marsden added that any discussions about regulation should be conducted in the open, rather than at private meetings inside the Department for Education, The Guardian commented.

Marsden might have a point except for there having been an outraged response from the public at reports of people such as Prof Germaine Greer, a lifelong feminist and author of the book The Female Eunuch being prevented from speaking because of her views on transgenderism.

Greer, an uncompromising Aistralian, said, “Having your dick and balls lopped off does not make you a woman, these people will never have periods, they have no ovaries. They cannot know what it’s like to have a big, hairy, smelly vagina.

I’m hearing very disturbing news from the French regional elections, predicting that the Front National, comfortable winners in last week’s first round of regional elections, hasve been routed in all regions. Neo – Fascist Left Driving University Students To Despair

via David Broome, Minds.com
May 12, 2018

ARE LEFTIST PROFESSORS AND UNIVERSITIES DRIVING STUDENTS TO SUICIDE? Are the oppressive totalitarian politics of the left driving students to suicide in Britain’s Universities? It seems plausible when we consider that most of academia is overrun by Marxist professors organising gangs of SJW’s who subject white straight male students to torrents of abuse if they do not indulge in the self loathing the feminists, LGBT advocates and other leftist groups demand. Is it just coincidence that 3 students have committed suicide at Bristol University in the last month alone where the leftist mobs run amok?

Where they protest free speech and want to shutdown and censor even mainline Conservatives such as Rees Mogg who they label a fascist! Indeed one student stated of his experience at Bristol University, “Students (leftists) tell me that as a white, straight male, I cannot speak about identity issues” Another tells of how a student was locked in a room against his will simply for asking to join a coding class and stating that excluding males from the class was prejudicial.*

Can we imagine an Army barracks with 3 suicides in a month? It would be a national scandal and there would be a huge criminal enquiry. We even had the recent case of people calling for the sacking of a Drill Sergeant just because he made a female recruit cry on an exercise. It seems the Marxist professors, leftist hate mobs and the Universities that support them get a free pass though, even as students are killing themselves in their Universities at the rate of one a fortnight!

(currently almost one a week at Bristol) The Times meanwhile reports that the suicide rate at Universities has increased over 50% in the last ten years – perfect correlation with the rise of leftist political correctness and growth of SJW hate mobs fostered by leftist professors.

If my child committed suicide while attending one of these leftist Universities I would be filing a civil lawsuit against them. Just making these Universities accountable would be worth the cost but the disclosure it would force would undoubtedly be political dynamite – probably enough to dismantle the Marxist cults pervading these Universities that subvert their students to the point they make their classmates feel life is no longer worth living.

Bristol universities rocked by EIGHTH student suicide in just 18 months

A PROMISING law student has become the eighth university student in Bristol to take his own life in just 18 months.

Tragic third-year student Justin Cheng was found dead on January 12th, just weeks before lectures at the University of Bristol started again.

Director of student services Mark Ames said: I am very sorry to confirm that Justin Cheng, a third year Law student from Canada, has died.

“The police have told us they believe he took his own life. There were no suspicious circumstances and the coroner will hold an inquest in due course.

“Our thoughts and sympathies are with his family and friends.

Student mental health ‘failing a generation’

Via BBC News, 12 May 2018

British universities say they risk “failing a generation” unless students get better mental health care.

A Universities UK report found some students risked “slipping through the gaps” due to a lack of co-ordination between the NHS and universities.

The most up-to-date statistics show 146 students killed themselves in 2016. At Bristol, three students have died suddenly in the past month alone.

An NHS official said local services should collaborate with universities.

Henry Curtis-Williams, a photography student, took his own life in 2016, aged 21.

“He had lost weight, he had dark shadows under his eyes, he was clearly in crisis,” said his mother Pippa Travis-Williams.

“He changed from being that super-confident person to [becoming] just a shell of a person.”

The number of deaths in 2016 was higher than the 134 students who killed themselves in 2015 – which in turn was the highest total since 2006.

Student sues University for ‘Mickey Mouse’ degree that hasn’t boosted her career

A disgruntled graduate is suing her university after claiming that two years of study at £9000 per year plus attendant living expenses has left her with nothing more than a “Mickey Mouse” degree that has proved useless in advancing her career. Despite graduating with a first. Pok Wong is suing Anglia Ruskin University for more than £60,000.

She alleges the institution’s claims regarding a “quality education and prospect of employment after graduation” were fraudulent, she told The Sunday Telegraph. The case echoes that of Oxford University Faiz Siddiqui, who tried to sue the institution for £1m after it did not give him a first-class degree.

Mr Siddiqui’s case was that “negligently inadequate teaching” was partly to blame for his 2:1 degree, which he claimed prevented him from getting into a top US law school and becomeing an international commercial lawyer.

Lawyers believe the case could influence universities present their courses in marketing materials, as students who spend around £9,000 a year for their education demand value for money and see themselves as customer rather than pupils. Ms Wong said she moved from Hong Kong to Britain to study at the Lord Ashcroft International Business School in Cambridge after being influenced by the claims in the prospectus.

Now the 29-year-old alleged in a complaint lodged with the courts that the university failed to deliver on its promises. She also accused it of a breach of contract and fraudulent misrepresentation, listing poor discipline among staff and students being told to “self-study” among her complaints.

The degree, in International Business Strategy “does not play a role to help secure a rewarding job with prospects”, she claimed, adding that the prospectus had promised the course would leave graduates “well equipped” for jobs in the business world, following two years of “high quality teaching”.

She also alleged she was “locked” in a room for trying to speak out about the quality of her course during her graduation ceremony, which she has branded as false imprisonment.

Ms Wong hopes the case will encourage other students to demand value for money and seek compensation if universities do not deliver.

“The prospectus convinced me that the university is really impressive,” she told The Sunday Telegraph. “But, as soon as I started in 2011, I realised there were failings. Although I graduated with a first class degree in 2013, it is a Mickey Mouse degree. I hope that bringing this case will set a precedent so that students can get value for money, and if they don’t they get compensated. Anglia Ruskin talked a good talk but then they didn’t deliver.”

She has justified the money she is demanding as a refund of her tuition fees for the international business strategy course and the living costs for her time there.

The University is ranked below 300 in the Time Higher Education World University Rankings for 2018.

A spokesperson for Anglia Ruskin University told The Independent: “We are well aware of the claims made by this former student and we are robustly defending the current litigation.

The case echoes that of Oxford University Faiz Siddiqui, who tried to sue the institution for £1m after it did not give him a first-class degree. Mr Siddiqui claimed that “negligently inadequate teaching” was partly to blame for his 2:1 degree, which he said prevented him from getting into a top US law school, and, in turn, meant he could not become an international commercial lawyer. It was inevitable, given the way higher education has been turned into a branch of industry or commerce, with profit as the main motivation, that failure by universities to deliver on claims of enhanced career and earnings potential would result in litigation.

My daughter may even have a case, she was sold the idea of studying for a degree in the history of art, design and film. In the years since her graduation I have spoken to her about art history, a topic on which I am quite well read, and found that aside from hardly touching on film, the course had left her almost totally ignorant of the influence of the Italian renaissance Neapolitan, Florentine and Venitian schools, the Dutch masters and even the more recent pre – Raphaelites and impressionists. In art they focus had been on twentieth century abstract expressionism and surrealism, but most of her course had covered 1950s and 60s pop art design developments.

Career wise it was a total waste of money and has not even equiiped her to have many interesting converstations, what is there to say about plastic chairs.

Poor white pupils put off school by multicultural timetable
Education, should it be about learning to read, write, spell and calculate? Or should it be about feminism, gay rights, black history and ‘gender awareness’ whatever that is? And when we have health and safety officers stopping people from climbing ladders unless they have been properly trained, people are discouraged from learning those everyday skills by themselves.
