In Washington Zelensky Offers Irrational ‘Victory’ Pledge While Biden Hedges His Bets

 

Judging by the none too reliable reports of Ukrainian president Vobblyvoddymyr Zelenskyyyyy’s latest visit to the White House, the Ukrainian leader is no longer regarded as the Messianic figure he was treated as throughout the war’s first eighteen months. The days of the press pool fawning over the little cokehead with the piano playing penis or being in awe at his presence ended with the almost instant failure of the much hyped ‘counter – offensive’ which was described as the act with would drive Russian troops out of Ukrainian territory completely (Crimea included,) but which actually resulted in Ukraine losing tens of thousands of its soldiers, $£€billions worth of high tech weapons donated by the NATO powers and even more territory to Russia.

Instead at Zelenskyyyyy’s latests White house gig the press primarily peppered Demented Joe Biden with questions after lstening incredulously to the former comedian’s speech as the pledged for the zillionth time that a Ukrainian victory was imminent and all that was needed for the final push was half a trillion US dollars and every gun, tank, aircraft and ship the entire membership of NATO possesses.

Biden’s response struck a more cautious and sceptical tone tone than previous meetings with Zelensky: “I don’t want you giving up hope,” the US President told his Ukrainian counterpart. “We’re going to stay at your side.” 

Biden’s words reflected a very obvious shift of mood in support for Ukrain apparent in the USA and throughout Europe, politicians and the media are starting to acknowledge what We The Punters have known from day one, that the Ukrainian victory narrative – a narrative which as the Financial Times noted Ukrainian citizens themselves are in increasing disbelief of – has always been a pipe dream. Yet Biden still gave out another $200 million of what’s left before DoD funding runs dry for the year.

However neither Biden nor Zelenskyyyyy had anything fresh to add as the Russia-Ukraine war grinds on approaching the end of a second full year. Biden said that if Congress fails to approve his defense funding package, as the Republicans have threatened to if The White House does not address the illegal immigration crisis at the southern border,  it would be a “Christmas gift” to Putin. He also said, with a level of foolishness typical of Dementia sufferers, that Russia has failed to subjugate Ukraine. Further, the following contradictory statements were issued on behalf of the US President:

• WE ARE COMING TO THE END OF OUR ABILITY TO HELP UKRAINE
• PUTIN IS BANKING ON THE US FAILING TO DELIVER FOR UKRAINE

During a press conference following the meeting, both Zelensky and Biden dismissed the possibility of Ukraine ceding territory to Russia as the price for achieving an end to hostilities and lasting peace. Notably, Zelensky went so far as to call this most rational of suggestions “insane.” Thus Ukrainians (and Russians,) will continue to die needlesly for no reason other than to inflate this diminutive clown’s monster ego.

Amid ongoing negotiations between Ukrainian diplomats and lawmakers and US defense officials in Washington on Tuesday, it is becoming blatantly obvious that no breakthrough is expected in terms of Republican Congressmen who control the House of Representatives being persuaded to push through Biden’s $106 billion defense aid package, while the administration is equally intransigent on the abandonment of border controls which is allowing thousands of illegal immigrats to flood into the USA every month.  

Meanwhile in the UK mainstream media, military experts and thousands of armchair warriors in internet comment threads are still pushing the ‘Ukraine is winning’ narrative.

Ironically the same people as were last year telling us that Russia’s military was weak, badly trained, poorly armed and starving, that Putin was at death’s door if not already dead, Russian tanks did not work, Russian aircradft were not airworthy and the Russian economy was in a state of collapse are now  claiming that unless all Zelenskyyyyy’s demands are met Russia will emboldened to invade and conquer the whole of Europe and most of Africa.

Ukraine’s Military Commander Admits Counter – offensive Has Failed And The Battlefield Position Is Stalemate

When anybody pointed out the inevitable result of the US enabling the Kiev regime to prolong the war by providinbg weapons, ammunition and financial supoport would be mass death and destruction of Ukrainians, and growing anti-American sentiment among nations of the global; south who see the US as a bully, using its financial power to manipulate the internal politics of sovereign nations and effect regime change when challenged.  And if we look at the regional and local wars of the 21st century it is hard to find one in which the USA has not had a hand.”

The truth about Ukraine, despite the daily reports in western mainstream media that ‘brave little Ukraine’s army was giving the Russian thugs a good thrashing, it was always obvious to those of us who looked a little beeper that the headlines that Russia’s military machine was living up to its reputation for brutality on the battlefield and was crushing Ukraine.  

The truth of the situation was confirmed this week  whenUkraine’s top military commander, Gen. Valery Zaluzhny, admitted the nuch hyped counter offensive begun in June, has failed miserably, there has been no breakthrough and the battlefield situation is now a stalemate.

His comments were made in an interview with The Economist and were quickly picked up by other other major US, UK and Europrean publications, notably left leaning New York Times, which until recently had been rabidly pro Ukraine, now reporting “His comments marked the first time a top Ukrainian commander said the fighting had reached an impasse…”.

The NYT report continued by describing Zaluzhny’s words as ” the most candid assessment so far by a leading Ukrainian official of the military’s stalled counteroffensive.”

Gen. Zaluzhny asserted in the interview: “Just like in the First World War we have reached the level of technology that puts us into a stalemate.” He then emphasized: “There will most likely be no deep and beautiful breakthrough.”

Indeed for the past some six months the front lines have barely changed though observers near the front line say that Russia now occupies slightly more territory inside Ukraines borders than it did before the counter offensive was launched. This is in spite of $£€billions worth of the lstest high – tech weaponry having been poured into Ukraine by the USA and NATO. The top Ukrainian commander explained Kiev’s failure thus: 

The general also said he underestimated Russia’s willingness to sacrifice troops in order to prevent a breakthrough and prolong the war. “That was my mistake,” he said. “Russia has lost at least 150,000 dead. In any other country such casualties would have stopped the war.” His accounting of Russia’s casualties could not be independently verified.

In spite of many hysterically worded reports in UK mainstream media that tried to sell the lie that the counter offtensive had been a huge suggess and the Russians were in full retreat, many analysts have considered that it may not have been President Putin’s intention to see his forces attempt to push further into Ukraine, given that a chief war aim of his is to solidify hold over the Donbas and four ‘annexed territories’. It appears the Russian army is simply staying put, content to have a firm grip over most the of east and much of the south.

The result then is that mainstream media and deep state propaganda agencies on both sides of the Atlantic, which had been claiming that Putin was a madman on a par with Hitler whose ambition was to recreate The Soviet Union, have ended up looking even less credible and more foolish than they did after COVID failed to kill the millions of us unvaccinated holdouts they predicted it would.

The writing has been on the wall for some time now, Ukraine’s glorious counter offensive that was going to drive every Russian soldier out of ~Ukrainian territory turn into an inglorious cock up that achieved nothing at the cost of thousands of lives, western leaders sensing voters in their nations are suffering a sense of war fatigue have been noticably distancing themselves from America’s proxy war. And all over the developed world taxpayers are starting to resent the cost to themselves of military and humanitarian aid to help the lunatic, neo – Nazi government of Ukraine keep fighting when any sane regime would have sued for peace long ago, and yet the Ukrainians keep demanding more weapons, more money and more commitment from nations that are not actually their allies. Even in mainstream media the signs that the west is increasingly looking towards the more dangerous situation in Israel and preparing to throw Zelensky under a bus.

The latest and perhaps the clearest indication of this can be found in the current edition of Time magazine, until now rabidly pro – Ukraine and ready to report Zelensky’s army’s victorious progress when clearly the opposite was true. Now however, this is what Time is reporting:

In spite of that truth Zelenski is still throwing boys and old men into the front line to attack well fortified and well defended Russian positions.

There Is Only One Way Ukraine Can End The War
As Ukraine’s much hyped counterattack has failed to achieved the and momentum that hoped for by American and NATO leaders including President Volodymyr Zelensky who admitted it was “slower than desired”, and a range of soldiers interviewed by BBC and Sky News television reporters t on different parts of the long (probably too long given the depletion of Ukrainian military manpower,) frontline have blamed minefields laid by Russian troops for that delay.
