When news of the existence of grooming gangs sexually exploiting vulnerable young girls in south Yorkshire broke in 2014, we wisely set up an omnibus page with an active contents list and many articles, feeling sure the story was going to run and run. Four years later it is still going.

The estimated number of victims of the gangs of muslim men involved in grooming and rape of under – age and vulnerable girls in Rotherham, Yorkshire, has risen even higher than the 1,400 figure which outraged the nation in 2014, the National Crime Agency (NCA) has revealed. The revelations come as millions of pounds continue to be pumped into an independent review of the mass sex crimes in the town, with hundreds of officers still expanding their work on the scandal.
