The Left Scream About Their Opponents Intolerance But Who Is Really Intolerant

Socialists, Liberals, progressives, whatever they call themselves, all profess to believe in diversity. They love women, blacks, Latinos, gays and Muslims and want legal quotas imposed to ensure these groups are always over represented in management, the boardroom, politics, the media, entertainment, the arts and sport — but not just any old minority member, if you identify as a part of a marginalised group, the politically correct left will welcome you so long as you aren’t conservative.

Universities are the bedrock of progressive values in fact it is probably around three decades since they gave up inculcating intellectual rigour in favour of instilling left wing values through propaganda and psychological manipulation.
There is however one kind of diversity that universities, the left dominated media and the political, academic and business establishment disregard is ideological and religious diversity. We’re fine with people who don’t look like us, as long as they think like us. Support any ideas that do not conform to the politically correct orthodoxy (the pensée unique – a French expression which refers to claims that neoliberalism is the only correct way to structure society. I can hear the ‘libeals’, socialists and proresssives wailing and gnashing teeth already. So let’s have a vada at the experience of George Yancey, a sociologist who is black and evangelical.

“Outside of academia I faced more problems as a black,” he wrote. “But inside academia I face more problems as a Christian, and it is not even close.”

I’ve been thinking about this because on Facebook recently I have been gobsmacked by the bigoted shite posted by supporters of the broad left. It is a well established fact that these people have no political arguments to support their case, they mutter vaguely about fairness and equality but in the end can only fall back on an irrational hatred of those who do not agree with them. And so many of these sheeple are recent products of the higher education system I have to wonder whether universities have a policy of stigmatising liberatarian, conservative, Chrisdtian or Jewsish values in order to undermine intellectual diversity.

For proof that my argument has substance just look in any internet coment thread under any article questioning climate change scaremongering, the efficacy of vaccines, evolution, the false narrative of the Atlantic slave trade, the origins of; the universe, life on earth, human consciousness; or the idiotic notion that mass immigration is good (or that prosperous western nations have a duty to allow Muslim immigrants to flout national laws and behave as they would in lawless, impoverished third world societies).

“Much of the ‘conservative’ worldview consists of ideas that are known empirically to be false,” said Carmi in one threat I visited recently.

“The truth has a liberal slant,” wrote Michelle.

“Why stop there?” asked Steven. “How about we make faculties more diverse by hiring idiots?”

And so it went on.

The conversation illustrated perfectly the arrogance and assumptions of intellectual and moral superiority that define ‘the left’. The implication is that conservatives don’t have anything significant to add to the discussion have no right to comment. Thus our self proclaimed diversity loving contemporaries reveal that they destest real diversity, but so long as they can pretend diffenences in skin colour are the same as diffences in values, they will continue to stifle free speech and thought.

My Facebook ‘friends’ (because I accept all requests – liberarians don’t discriminate,)have incredible compassion for war victims in South Sudan, ‘transgender’ mental cases who are told that if they have a dick they can’t share toilet facilities with women because some parents are sensitive about things like that and if we have any belief in equality then their ‘rights’ have equal value to those of chick-with-dicks. These Facebook sheeple also have endless sympathy for kids who have been trafficked, puppies that have been set loose in traffic, for donkeys that look just as stupid and useless as every other donkey in the world, even for abused chickens, but no obvious empathy for conservative students who face discrimination and harassment, no outrage over the gagging of speakers who might express unorthodox ideas thus distressing the precious, politically correct sheeple who are traumatised if their ‘safe space’ is invaded.

The stakes involve not just fairness to conservatives or evangelical Christians, not just whether progressives are capable of being true to their own values or if they are just hypocrites willing to sacrifice everything for acceptance into the herd. The benefits that come from diversity (and diversity of thought is probably the most important kind), but also the quality of higher education on offer. When diverse perspectives are suppressed, when some lines of thought are forbidden a seat at the debating table, classrooms become echo chambers rather than sounding boards — and we all lose.
