It is well known, or ought to be by now that Boggart Blog does not have a high opinion of ‘scientists.’ This is not to say we think all people whose work involves use of the natural and applied sciences or some kind of research is a wanker who will rig their reports to produce the result whoever is funding them requires., but on the balance of evidence most of those on the payroll of governments and supra national QUANGOs (Quasi – autonomous non governmental organisations certainly appear to be. Were it otherwise how could any sane person be involved in a study which reports that growing your own vegetables, fruit or recreational drugs in your garden is more harmful to ‘the planet’ than industrialised farming.

A study from the University of Michigan has concluded that, “The carbon footprint of homegrown foods is five times greater than produce from conventional agricultural practices, such as rural farms, data show.

looked at how much CO2 was produced when growing food in different types of urban farms and found that, on average, a serving of food made from traditional farms creates 0.07kg of CO2.

The impact on the environment is almost five times higher at 0.34kg per portion for individual gardens, such as vegetable patches or allotments.”

Jake Hawes, a PhD candidate at Michigan and first author of the study, said: “The most significant contributor to carbon emissions on the urban agriculture sites we studied was the infrastructure used to grow the food – from raised beds to garden sheds to pathways, these constructions had a lot of carbon invested in their construction.

The study, published in the journal Nature Cities, recruited 73 urban agriculture sites around the world, including Europe, the US, and the UK, and conducted a comprehensive life cycle assessment on the site’s infrastructure, irrigation and supplies.

Britain’s Net Zero Disaster & The Wind Power Scam

“This is not about complicated issues of cryptocurrency,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Nicolas Roos declared in the Sam Bankman-Fried trial, after accusing the defendant of building FTX on a “pyramid of deceit.” Much the same can be said about the foundations of Britain’s net-zero experiment. Energy is complicated, and electricity is essential to modern society and our quality of life, but as with FTX, the underlying story is straightforward: Wind power and net zero are built on a pyramid of deceit.

Net zero was sold to Parliament and the British people on claims that wind-power costs were low and falling. This was untrue: Wind-power costs are high and have been rising. In the net-zero version of “crypto will make you rich,” official analyses produced by the Treasury and the Office for Budget Responsibility rely on the falsehood that wind power is cheap, that net zero would have minimal costs, and that it could boost productivity and economic growth. None of these has any basis in reality.

The push for net zero began in 2019, when the UK’s Climate Change Committee produced a report urging the government to adopt the policy. Part of the justification was historic climate guilt. In the words of committee chair Lord Deben, Britain had been “one of the largest historical contributors to climate change.” But the key economic justification for raising Britain’s decarbonization from 80 percent to 100 percent by 2050—i.e., net zero—was “rapid cost reductions during mass deployment for key technologies,” notably in offshore wind. These illusory cost reductions, the committee claimed, “have made tighter emission reduction targets achievable at the same costs as previous looser targets.” It was green snake oil.

During the subsequent 88-minute debate in the House of Commons to write net zero into law, the clean-energy minister, Chris Skidmore, also asserted that net zero’s cost would be the same as the previous 80 percent target, which Parliament had approved in 2008. Challenged by a Labour MP on the absence of a regulatory-impact assessment, Mr. Skidmore misled Parliament, saying that there had been no regulatory-impact assessment in respect of raising the initial 60 percent target to 80 percent.

The regulatory-impact assessment that Mr. Skidmore says doesn’t exist gave a range of £324 billion (about $412 billion) to £404 billion when the target was raised to 80 percent—an estimate that excluded transitional costs—and cautioned that costs could exceed this range. Unlike today’s political pronouncements, the assessment was honest about the consequences of Britain acting if the rest of the world didn’t. “The economic case for the UK continuing to act alone where global action cannot be achieved would be weak,” it warned. … Continue Reading >>>

The Truth Is Out, Net Zero Will Bakrupt The World

A study by the National Infrastructure Commission (NIC), published on Tuesday 18 October, estimates in its advice to government that if the UK is to hit its 2050 target for achieving ‘Net Zero’, taxpayers will have to find roughly double the amount of money the nation would have had to spend on renewing and updating energy and transport infrastructure over the next 27 years to £2 trillion, the additional £1 trillion to be spent on the implementing the green agenda.

A trillion, its easy to say but is an unimaginably big amount of money to find. A good illustration of how big is to imagine spending a pound a second every single second, no weekends, no holidays, no time off for good behaviour, for the next 31,709 years and 10 months (and yes, I did use a computers to work that out.)

31,710 years ago our ancestors, though they had moved on from the knuckle dragging phase of human evolution, were, as far as we know, still living in caves, eating raw meat and running around naked.

A trillion is a conservative estimate of course. Given that the UK national debt is increasing at roughly one million pounds every three and a half minutes and that our spending on health and welfare, energy, roads and railways, education, defence, environment etc. etc. is not likely to go down that estimated cost of Net Zero is likely to increase exponentially in the way government projects always do and end up having cost not two trillion but 22 trillion in 27 years time.

So unless government suddenly comes to its senses and realises that unless we want to return to living in caves, eating raw meat and running around naked we had better abandon ‘net zero’ unless it plans to reduce unemployment by hiring gangs of muscular people to shovel money into firey furnaces (thus causing lots of CO2 to be emitted.) Most of the (estimated) extra trillion would go on replacing petrol cars with electric ones and gas boilers with electric heat pumps, and on generating, transmitting and distributing the extra electricity needed for these two uses. It also includes a host of other capital projects, including better household insulation. With all that electric demand, we would need extra power stations, extra pylons and upgrades of household electrical circuits. And we would need subsidies for installing the heat pumps and buying electric vehicles. And if anyone thinks that lot could be done for a paltry one trillion, that person is probably working as a senior economic adviser for the treasury department.

According to the assessment £74 billion would have to be spent on closing down and decommissioning the gas network: the National Infrastructure Commission (NIC), which was set up to promote economic growth, has been so totally hijacked by the bansturbators of the green lobby that it is now a National Dismantling Commission.

With the exception of home insulation, very little of that £1 trillion would actually improve your lifestyle in any practical way. It does not promise to give you cheaper or more reliable electricity in fact wind and solar are proving more expensive and less reliable. It would not save you any money or give you any more spare time — or make you more productive.

It would generally replace smaller things with bigger things — more pylons, heavier cars, bigger radiators, wind farms occupying hundreds of acres of good land instead of gas turbine power stations occupying five acres — so it would actually clutter the world more.

Facts and arguments aren’t going to change the minds of Net Zero advocates of course. What will change their minds is the sense that those of us who do not enjoy the inflated salaries and inflation linked pensions of public sector workers, and therefore are opposed to all this Net Zero, save the planet bollocks (not of which is backed by scientific evidence, all the green lobby have is output from mathematical models,) and are getting angry. The fearmongering tactics favoured by the elite has failed as realisation grows that all these virtue signalling policies so beloved of the elite are going to impoverish us and push us back to the kind of living standards endured by working people in the nineteenth century and might just pick up out pitchforks and cudgels (metaphorical ones of course, we can do much more damage with a couple of household cleaning products and a cheap burner phone,) and going after Net Zero zealots, their energy efficient homes and their beloved pimped up and highly combustible golf trolleys.

They need to feel the need to abandon quasi – religious ideology at an emotional level and face mundane reality. And as we all know, because the elites, the wannabe overlords, taught us, fear is best weapon for changing minds.

And few people stop to question why WE must make sacrifices while THEY continue to fly round the world in private jets, cruise the Mediterranean or Caribbean in luxury yachts that are more like floating palaces that leisure craft, and live in floodlit, air conditioned palaces that consume more energy than a middle sized town.

Well some of us do question, we are known to the majority as either online jornalists or ‘conspiracy theorists’ depending on a readers politics, and to the politicians, academics, billionaire psychopaths and people on their payrolls as “that bunch of awkward, really obnoxious bastards who refuse to believe ‘The Science’ and insist on challenging oppressive policies devised ‘for the greater good.’ 

Thanks to us bunch of awkward, really obnoxious bastards, and the statistics nerds at Statistia it is now becoming widely known that the world’s richest ten percent are responsible for an estimated 47 percent share of global CO2 emissions. This has been revealed by a recent study published in the journal Nature Sustainability, which focused on how tackling poverty worldwide would affect emissions of CO2, the harmless but demonised gas without which life is not possible but which has unscientifically been blamed for all the mathematical models of climate related catastrophes in the past thirty years. As Statista’s Florian Zandt shows in the chart below, the difference between the poorest and wealthiest people not only shows in their emission share.

ad the lower 50 percent income group only produces about  ton of CO2 per year compared to approximately 48 tons per capita of carbon dioxide emitted by the wealthiest one percent.

Of course, the results are different depending on the region. In Europe, USA, Canada or Australia for example, the bottom 50 percent had a higher estimated share of total emissions than the top ten percent, while the top one percent in Sub-Saharan Africa were responsible for more carbon emissions than the bottom 50 percent.

Combating poverty (a goal only committed virtue signallers would see as realistic,) around the world would require an unprecedented level of cooperation between nations and present logistical challenges of a scale never before envisaged, its effects on global warming would be minimal according to the study.Lifting over a billion people above the official poverty line under the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 1 would only raise the estimated global CO2 output by roughly two percent, even though carbon emissions in low to lower-middle income countries in Sub-Saharan Africa  and South East Asia could potentially double.

However the top ten per cent are unlikely to make sacrifices to reduce their gigantic footprints, and while the high to middle income groups of the developed nations are more likely to respond to the manipulative propaganda of behavioural scientists, even their scope for making a difference is tiny compared to emissions generated by manufacturing industry, transport and agriculture.

CO2 – The Green Planet’s Best Friend

As the biggest gathering of wankers in the world gathers for the COP26 conference one thing they will not be talking about this in Glasgow next week, I can guarantee is that today’s low CO2 concentration is starving trees and plants of the food they need to achieve their full growth potential via photosynthesis.

Additional benefits of increased CO2.Increased photosynthesis (“CO2 fertilization”).Plants grow faster, and with less stress and less water.Forests are growing faster.Stimulates the growth of beneficial bacteria in both soil and water.More plant growth means less erosion of topsoil.Bigger crop yields, and more and bigger flowers.Fosters glomalin, a beneficial protein created by root fungi.Less water loss, less irrigation, and more soil moisture.Increase in natural repellents to fight insect predators.

Burning fossil fuel is not the problem it is how we burn it. We need to capture the noxious and toxic given off by the process plus by processing coal we can get a double burn, first we heat it to drive off coal gas that can be used for cooking and heating then we are left with a smokeless fuel that we can produce heat from. heat energy can be converted to electrical energy.

Yes we need clean air to breath but I think the science of climate change is based on flawed research and the biggest difference to day is the mobile phone where we see a flood or sever weather almost instantly when a 100 years ago something happened on the other side of the world few would know and even less would be interested.

We have been burning clean coal for years. Germany on the other hand burns the foulest coal out Lignite.

One of the biggest problems over the last twenty-five years in the UK has been floooding.Strangely enough average rainfall has not increased and the spells of extremely wet weather that cause rivers to overflow are no more frequent tha fifty years ago, yet the Warmageddonist lobby are quick to blame climate change and spew forth a few more predictions of doom. However among the main contributors to this flooding are two factors that, though man made, are noting to do with climate.

One is that we have built on flood plains, thus impeding natural drainage, but more of that later, the other is the fact that culvets, drainage ditches and rainwater drains are not regularly cleaned any more anymore, so water just backs up and sits on the road. Just outside where the surgery of my family doctor there is a dip in the road. every time we had a good downpour the water will be six inches deep,

After this week’s heavy rain it flooded the road went over the pavement and into a nearby field. It has been like that for ten year years. We got sick of it and the giveaway was that when it rained it would go down the drains further up the road then come out of the bottom gutter drain in the dip on both sides like a bubbling fountain.

I noticed this going on in other areas and so raised the matter with the council, who wrote back saying we don’t clear rainwater drains anymore as it is far too expensive.

The thing is though it suits the ones in the councils and Government, who quietly support the agenda of fanatical warmageddonists, not to do those kinds of things because the more water you see on the roads that disrupt our lives they can bang the big drum on climate change which is one of the main drivers of the effort to introduce global government.

This planned inaction applies to rivers as well, we have not been dredging the rivers for decades, due to our being in the EU which imposed laws on member states they had a law forbidding all EU countries from dredging so that the animals that live on the banks and the fish are not disturbed.What happens as a result is that debris builds up, restricting the flow of water. The kind of debris is three branches dead leaves, silt etc. but the situation is exacerbated by irresponsible citizens who dump old forniture, appliances, matresses, bikes and all sorts on non – biogradable rubbish in waterways.

When the rivers in Somerset flooded a few years ago it took six weeks for the rivers to get back to normal. Suddenly it hit home that the rivers should have been dredged, that’s what they did they said sod the EU we have to dredge the two rivers that had caused the flooding. Since then we have had many floods, however the proof as they say in the eating of the pudding. No river in Somerset overflowed their banks.

And again it suits the warmageddonists to not dredge as they can then point the finger at the floods and young people who were just toddlers when the green blob decided protecting the habitat of the two toed toad was more important than preventing flooding, believe the propaganda because they have never seen dredging.

Just as they asked, “Why can’t you believe the scientists, they spend their lives studying climate, they know what they are talking about, why can’t you just accept the science is settled?” when in fact not only is it always legitimate (and scientific,) to question and challenge scientific theory, so it is perfectly rational and logical to challenge the Cult of Saint Greta.

“The science” on climate change was never settled of course, in fact a lot of it was very dodgy, being based on output from mathematical models run on computers managed by people with a career investment in persuading people to believe the catastrophes forecast by these computer models, which were fed adjusted data rather than information from observations of the real world.

This goes a long away towards explaining why none of the dire predictions of catastrophic natural disasters predicted by Warmageddonists over the past twenty five years has come true. It is 2020, snow is falling in Scotland and Northern England, in the USA, Canada, Germany, France, Scandinavia, yet climate sciencetits (not a typo,) told us with great certainty that snow would be a thing of the past by 2010. Likewise they told us rapidly rising sea levels caused by the melting of the ice caps would submerge low lying nations like The Maldives by 2010. Earlier this week my brother booked his annual post Christmas holiday in The Maldives. He’s pretty certain it will still be there, because he went to the same resort last year and found it above water.

And yet, despite all the demonstrable evidence to the contrary, Warmageddonists still insist we must accept that “the science” is correct because sciencetits (not a typo,) are very clever and they say the science is settled.

The Greta Thunberg thing took off, I believe, because the Warmageddonist movement had lost so much credibility, they were desperate to prevent the wheels coming off their globalist bandwagon. And so they resorted to the dirtiest of tactics. Now that is backfiring too.

I don’t think it is hatred of Little Saint Greta that drives the criticism so much as that people dislike and are angered by the way the girl’s handlers are manipulating her to be the poster child for a campaign based on a particularly nasty kind of emotional blackmail. It is the same kind of blackmail as was used at the height of the European Union’s when pictures of a drowned child lying on a beach somewhere in the Greek Islands was accompanied by screaming headlines in mainstream media about how heartless Europeans were in not welcoming anyone who wanted to come from a third world country to “seek a better life” (a very emotive phrase,) in Europe.

It turned out the boy was not from a migrant family at all, but had been taken along for the ride by his father who was in the human trafficking business and drowned when the overloaded inflatable boat sank on the crossing from Turkey to Greece with a cargo of people who had paid exorbitant fees to be smuggled into the EU illegally.

I believe Greta Thunberg has just turned 17 so I started commenting on her activities when she was sixteen and one of the things I remarked on was that she was like no sixteen year old Swedish girl I encountered when working in that country a few years ago. They are mostly stylish, fashion conscious and desperate to give the impression they are older than their years. Greta Thunberg looked and dressed as a ten or eleven year old would, i.e. as a child. And she conjured childish tears when talking about her childhood being stolen. It was all carefully stage managed to play on the emotions of adults. I actually referred to her as a wannabe Pippi Longstocking, a reference to the children’s fiction character created by Astrid Lindgren (https://www.astridlindgren.com/en/characters/pippi-longstocking) in the 1940s, a little girl with special powers.

If Greta’s childhood has been stolen it is not by climate change, but by the people who are using (or abusing perhaps,) her to advance a political agenda.

So my view, shared by many other people around the web, is criticisms of Greta Thunberg are not motivated so much by anger at her, the socially inept teenager with learning difficulties and Asperger’s syndrome, as anger at the fictional character created by those who are managing her campaign and putting words in her mouth. People are more likely to feel sympathy for her.

Beyond that, there is a growing stack of evidence that the “science” behind the climate change scare is fraudulent, and the fact that United Nations climate experts have confessed that they look at output from mathematical models when formulating their long term forecasts rather than giving priority to real world evidence.

All of this damages the credibility of the case for destroying industrial civilization as does the focus of Ms Thunberg and other activists on demanding that the liberal democracies bear the full burden of reducing CO2 emissions while China (https://originalboggartblog.wordpress.com/2019/11/21/clean-green-power-sucks-china-goes-all-out-for-coal/), India, Brazil, Philippines, Nigeria and other developing nations continue to develop their industrial base without regard for the environmental effects of their economic expansion. The link in this paragraph leads to a page which exposes how many new coal powered generating plants are under construction or planned right now in China, it is more than in the whole of Europe. India is following the same path.

Finally, “the masses” as left wing intellectuals contemptuously refer to us ordinary people who work hard for decent living, do not like being treated as if we are stupid or told what we must think and how we must behave. In a democratic society we have a right to question “the science” of climate change, and when questioned it does not stand up to logical analysis. So Greta Thunberg’s handlers who send her across the Atlantic in a specially built carbon fibre yacht (check out how CO2 intensive the manufacturing process for carbon fibre is,) and the other elitists who fly halfway round the world in their private jets for a lunch meeting (Yes Leonardo DefuckingCaprio, I’m talking about you,) are hardly going the right way about winning the battle for hearts and minds are they? Personally I feel no hatred to Greta (just don’t get me started on Leonardo DefuckingCaprio,) but think the people who turned her into a social media phenomenon should be exposed for the abusive opportunistic charlatans they are.

A Rant Against Renewed Climate Change Scaremongering

If I have to hear one more emotive plea from Pippi Longstocking lookalike Greta Thunberg about how my lifestyle is destroying the planet, or watch one more ugly, unwashed Extintion Rebellion crusty talking about how we the people must make sacrifices (so the elites can continue to fly around the world by private jet,) I’m going to fill Leonardo di Caprio’s trousers with cold porridge and make him wear them all day. I don’t believe CO2 will destroy the planet by the end of next week, you probably don’t either but opinion makers do, because it suits their material interests to persuade our social classes to volunteer for genocide, and that view is backed by political propaganda and mainstream media.

Look at the paens of praise that go up in response to news that China is building more wind turbines than any other nation. The news is presented as if China has ‘seen the light’ and committed in full to Kyoto, Copenhagen, Paris and all the other meaningless accords and agreements.

If fact China has seen a light, but a very different light to the one the west is looking at, they see a civilisation prepared to destroy itself for the mythical goal of ‘saving the planet,’ a planet that is perfectly capable of saving itself BTW, whether our descendants are around to enjoy it or not. And the Chinese see an opportunity to take advantage of our collective wallowing in guilt and end the dominance of the western nations. Russia is playing the same game, and our political elites, for the sake of creating a politically correct monoculture, are helping them.

The Green blob are wrong to blame us, we are not hypocrites but too many of us are prepared to believe what we are told, that consumption is good, that our lives will be enhanced if we have the latest iPhone (how many new versions have been launched in that brand’s short life,) that a new computer running Windows 10 will do all our thinking for us when in fact Windows XP wil do everything 90% of users want, and the power users will probably not be working on Microsoft’s clunky products. but people will probably have bought 3 new computers since XP was launched.

We are all being pushed towards electric cars “to save the planet” to the extent that not long ago the idiot Macron was being quoted as saying France will ban fossil fuel vehicles by 2040, a totally unrealistic target and unnecessary as research has shown over the whole life of a car from obtaining materials to scrapping and recycling, EVs have an only slightly smaller carbon footprint and manufacturing processes, particularly of the battery packs, dumps some very unpleasant chemicals in the environment in exchange for that small saving of harmless CO2. But there are an estimated 1.4 billion fossil fuelled cars in the world, and sales are falling not because large numbers of drivers are switching to EVs, (they’re too expensive and are inefficient, totally useless in a hilly area it seems,) but because people have rejected the planned obsolescence business model and are keeping their cars much longer. So the auto corporations and the tech corporations see future profits coming from scrapping those 1.4 billion conventional cars and replacing them with EVs.

If you want to blame someone for the state of the environment, blame the politicians, corporate businesses and the ‘scientists’ who have made all these polluting industries possible. And blame the organisations in government, business and advertising for promoting the lifestyles of the consumption led economy. But don’t blame the people for behaving in ways the propaganda has manipulated them to behave.

And get your yellow vest on (the protest movement is now entering its second year, get out and join the pushback. We can stop the global elites.

Finnish Climate Study Finds No Evidence That Humans Caused Climate Change

A team of Finnish climate researchers led by J. Kauppinen and P. Malmi of the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Turku, have have published results of a project which found that the likely human contribution to a rise of 0.1°C in global temperatures over the past 100 years century is just 0.01°C. This is in direct contradiction of  the catastrophic global warming narrative built by research grant phishing Warmageddonist scientists and the bureaucrats of the  UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The UN has of course been making political use of Warmageddonist doom prophecies to advance its Agenda 21 and Agenda 30, both of which look like plans for global governance when subjected to critical scrutiny.

Kauppinen and Malmi write in their research analysis paper, dated June 29, 2019, that their research proves that GCM-models used in IPCC report AR5 fail to calculate the instances of the low cloud cover changes on the global temperature. They claim this is why the models used to make the case for catastrophic warming give a minimal natural temperature change, assigning a substantial change to the contribution of the greenhouse gases in the observed temperature.

This is the reason why IPCC has to use a considerable adjustment of data to compensate for the too small natural component. Further, scientists drafting reports for the IPCC have to leave out the strong negative feedback due to the clouds. Also, this paper proves that the changes in the low cloud cover fraction practically control the global temperature.

Kauppinen and Malmi explain:
“The climate sensitivity has an extremely large uncertainty in the scientific literature. The smallest values estimated are very close to zero while the highest ones are even 9 degrees Celsius for a doubling of CO2. The majority of the papers are using theoretical general circulation models (GCM) for the estimation. These models give very big sensitivities with a very large uncertainty range. Typically sensitivity values are between 2-5 degrees.

IPCC uses these papers to estimate global temperature anomalies and climate sensitivity.

However, there are a lot of papers, where sensitivities lower than one degree are estimated without using GCM.

The basic problem is still missing experimental evidence of the climate sensitivity.

Low cloud cover controls practically the global temperature. It turns out that the changes in the relative humidity and in the low cloud cover depend on each other. So, instead of low cloud cover, we can use the changes in the relative humidity in order to derive the natural temperature anomaly. According to the observations, a 1 % increase of the relative humidity decreases the temperature by 0:15°C.

The IPCC climate sensitivity is about one order of magnitude too high because a strong negative feedback of the clouds is missing in climate models. If we pay attention to the fact that only a small part of the increased CO2 concentration is anthropogenic, we have to recognize that the anthropogenic climate change does not exist in practice. The major part of the extra CO2 is emitted from oceans, according to Henry`s law. The low clouds practically control the global average temperature.

the last hundred years, the temperature is increased by about 0:1°C because of CO2 therefore:

The human contribution was about 0:01°C.”

The J. Kauppinen and P. Malmi report is the latest of many reports from research projects which provide evidence to challenge the scare tactics pushed by the purveyors of the climate change hypothesis and politicians seeking to use the climate change scare to erode our rights and liberties.

The facts show the climate models that have been proven wrong at every step, the Earth’s climate is much more complicated than the algorithms that can be programmed into a computer application could deal with, simply because there are so many unquantifiable effects acting on the climate. The CAGWARTs (Carbon- driven Anthropogenic Global Warming Alternative Reality Trolls still haven’t raised teir heads from their computer screens long enough to work out why the satellite temperature data says, Earth hasn’t warmed in twenty years , why there is still snow in winter, cool spells in summer, why Polar Bear numbers are incresing and where the 50 million people who were due to be displaced by rising sea levels by 2015 have disappeared to, (clue: they’re not hiding under harry Potter’s cloak of invisibility.)

US Democrats Supernut Formulates “Green New Deal” To Fix Climate And “Repair Historic Oppression”

Newly sworn in Democratic Party Congresswoman for New York, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, appahe calrently suffering delusions of grandeur after only two weeks in the job, is proposing a legislative package which she calls a “national, social, industrial and economic mobilization at a scale not seen since World War II,” according to a letter the sent to colleagues.

The specifics of the plan, dubbed the “Green New Deal,” will be released next week – however Ocasio-Cortez lays out several goals in the letter, including reaching net-zero greenhouse gas emissions “through a fair and just transition for all communities and workers,” while creating millions of “good, high-wage jobs,” according to Bloomberg. The plan also aims to ensure prosperity and security while investing in US infrastructure and industry.

The “Green New Deal” will also fight racism apparently. Climate change and racism? Who is she going to appoint as VP, David feckin’ Blaine.

It is just empty words of course, this hippy – dippy, cultural Marxist, virtue signalling tartlette is saying nothing new, in fact what she is saying tells us she does not have a single original thought in her ethnically diverse little head. Miss Ocasio-Cortez simply is exposing her delusional belief that heaven can be recreated here on earth with enough government intervention in everything. It is an idea that has been tried many times over the past 100 years, and failed, creating a wave of humanitarian crises, every time. To think it might world this time simply because it is dressed up in green propaganda is either insane or stupid but probably a little of both.

Atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) is good; it is plant food. Most of it comes from natural cycles, and before the industrial age it was headed to dangerously low levels in the atmosphere(240 parts per million – at 200 ppm everything dies,). Without sufficient levels of atmospheric CO2 plants die, and then so would all animals who depend on them as food. And then the animals that depend on animals that depend on plants for food, for food. It was perhaps fortunate that mankind figured out how to liberate large amounts of CO2 that was stored in the ground as coal, oil and natural gas. On the other hand nature has a wonderful way of balancing things and maybe, just maybe the system would have thrown itself into reverse with CO2 levels rising to several thousand parts per million as they have in the past according to paleo – ecoologists, (ironically CO2 sometimes reached those dizzy levels during past ice ages although in other prolonged periods of intense cold it fell, which ought to suggest even to the thikest scientists that CO2 levels have little effect on mean temeratures.

As far as CO2 in the atmosphere being the driver of temperature goes, the actual science (as opposed to the computer modelling,) shows that it has a negligible effect at best. The primary greenhouse gas, water vapour moderates any CO2 effect by raining out, so that the overall greenhouse effect is stable; this is the saturation effect which limits the amount of greenhouse gas the atmosphere can hold. Furthermore, the ice core data shows that CO2 is the effect and temperature is the cause when it comes to the relationship between atmospheric CO”2 and temperature. What drives the ice ages with intervening inter-glacial warming periods (like today’s warming) are the Milankovitch cycles related to changes in the eccentricity of the earths orbit, changes in its axial tilt, and the precessional cycle. Shorter term variations in temperature are related to a multitude of cycles in solar activity.

Just like socialism/communism, global warming is a government run plunder and control scam, which means this political bimbo is doubly self identifying as a scam artist. I wouldn’t want her managing my company’s finances, and certainly wouldn’t recommend American voters to support any party that takes her ideas seriously. Far too many nations in the developed world have incompetents holding high office simply because of their ability to recite bullshit that appeals to university brainwashed millennials the. Alexandria’s highest economic attainment in life before being elected was employment as a bartender (which as relavent experience of suitability for high office is somewhat better than Barack Obama’s ice cream slinger, community organiser and, allegedly, professional cocksucker.

Fake News Alert: Doctors Mag Claims Air Pollution Deaths Due To Climate Change

Lancet, the journal of British medical professionals has published a completely innacurate editorial which falsely claims seven million deaths linked to air pollution were caused by “climate change.”

“The effects of climate change are inextricably entwined with health,” the May 12 editorial begins, “ranging from the WHO estimate of 7 million deaths from breathing polluted air indoors and outdoors.” The editorial then goes on to list a series of other alleged harmful effects of climate change, none of which are backed by hard evidence.

The main statement is patently false, and the Lancet editors must surely know that.

The World Health Organization (WHO) report to which the editorial refers makes no mention of climate change and speaks only of the adverse health effects of breathing polluted air, which is a different thing altogether.

According to the WHO report, “around 7 million people die every year from exposure to fine particles in polluted air that penetrate deep into the lungs and cardiovascular system, causing diseases including stroke, heart disease, lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases and respiratory infections, including pneumonia.”

All of these harmful substances which have potentially fatal consequences are causes by “exposure to fine particles in polluted air” and not by global warming.

In its infographic on the causes of air pollution, the WHO lists six sources of dangerous fine particulate matter, none of which is related to climate change, a phenomenon due entirely to the release of carbon dioxide from human activity according to the environmentalist lobby. The six sources of air pollution are industry and energy supply, dust, agricultural practices, transport, waste management, and household energy.

Among the six solutions proposed by WHO for combatting air pollution, not one of them touches on carbon dioxide emissions, for the simple reason that CO2 is not a pollutant and is not harmful to human health. Unlike pollutants, carbon dioxide is odorless, colorless, and most importantly, non-toxic. In fact the trace gas is essential to life, being the fuel used by the photosynthesis process to grown plant matter.

The report notes that deaths linked to air pollution occur mainly in third-world countries where a majority of the population “do not have access to clean cooking fuels and technologies in their homes.” The article in Lancet ignores that essential point and shamelessly links lethal air pollution to global warming, without bothering to attempt to establish a real connection between the two.

It then goes on to speak of how the horrible effects of air pollution can be averted by implementing measures to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from industrial, domestic and agricultural activity, which, again, is complete bollocks.
