Destroying The Planet To Save It

In the unthinking stampede of politicians and ‘scientists’ towards achieving ‘Net Zero’ and thus ‘saving the planet’ from death by human civilisation, perhaps a reality check is long overdue for the delusional Green Blob and the virtue signalling politicians. In order to save the planet from a largely imaginary threat based on an ideology behind which there is very little scientific and absolutely zero empirical evidence.

And as if that was not enough to make any sane person stop and think, the solutions proposed by the Green Blob, apart from being so expensive they would destroy every functioning national economy on the planet, are going to be more damaging to the planet than continuing to burn coal and gas as our main source of energy and fuel out vehicles with oil.  The Blob propose abandoning this reliable, consistent source in favour of intermittent, unreliable sources, primarily wind and solar powered generators. The Boggart Bloggers have written on the shortcomings of these technologies many times.

A small, clean, green, and utterly reliant on the vagaries of the weather, 100-megawatt wind farm needs 30,000 tons of iron ore; 50,000 tons of concrete and 900 tons of non-recyclable plastic.

For the same power from an ever-so-green solar farm you need to increase those figures by 150 per cent.

An battery pack for a small electric car weighs half a ton, to make just one requires the mining of 250 tons of bedrock somewhere on the planet, and the smelting and refining processes consume vast amounts of energy mostly derived from oil, natural gas and coal.

All these ‘clean, green, renewable’ methods of generation require what are called ‘rare earth metals,’ which are actually quite plentiful but occur in such low concentrations that separating them from the ores in which they are found makes them phenomenally expensive, as well as resulting in vast quantities of toxic shite (including cyanide, arsenic, nitric and hydrochloric acid,) so a phenomenal 2000 tons of toxic waste is produced and most of it is dumped in the environment, just to produce one ton of the any of the rare earth metals needed to make wind turbines, solar panels or lithium ion batteries. On top of all this, processing and shipping is required to the developed nations, and this is usually provided from companies based in from unregulated regimes (e.g. Liberia,) with very lax environmental standards.

As mentioned above Solar and wind generation is limited by its dependence on weather conditions, another issue we have commented on many times, but we need energy ALL the time, so we have to have permanent back-up of a type that can kick in instantly because both cloud cover and wind speeds can change very quickly and it is not possible to turn a key or press a button and start a combined cycle gas generator they way we start our car or switch on the vacuum cleaner.

And then there is the land requirement because the amount of productive land lost to production of food due to the spread of ‘renewables’ is astounding.

To accommodate 2,000 MW of gas or nuclear power generation requires the same area of two 18-hole golf courses. Whereas, accommodating 2,000 MW of wind power requires an area the size of Belgium!

Then, of course, you still need 2,000 MW of gas or nuclear power to accommodate those hundreds of occasions each year when wind and solar power is producing absolutely nothing.

One of the proposed solutions is to build vast battery farms to store surplus energy when wind and sunshine give us a surplus, but apart from their not being enough known lithium reserves in the world to provide adequate backup for just on developed nation, a statistic I read recently claims the giant Tesla factory in Nevada would take 500 years to make enough batteries to supply the USA with electricity for 1 day!

After 30 years of development and countless billions of £$€ in grants, subsidies and incentive payments, wind and solar still supply less than 5 per cent of the world’s energy. You may have seen screaming headlines in mainstream media proclaiming that on a particular day ‘renewables’ generated over 50% of the UK’s consumed electricity, b.ut contrast that with the deafening silence when on cold, windless winter days when solar and wind between then provide less than 5%.

On top of that, in common with all technology, wind turbines and solar panels  are built from non-renewable materials, and they break down, parts wear out or break and have to be replaced time and time again, so installation is definitely not a one-off cost. Instead of ‘saving the planet’ the Green Blob and their rampaging renewables are actually devouring it!

Boris Brassed Off With Sunak’s Resistance To Nuclear Revival

The one lesson liberal democracies in the west have learned from the Ukraine conflict, is that virtue signalling committments to ‘net zero’ and saving the planet achieved nothing and only led to the biggest economic powers, by switching to ‘sustainable energy sources’ which could not sustain a constant, reliable output level, making themselves reliant for energy on imported oil and gas from potentially uncooperative governments in nations like Russia, Venezuela and Saudi Arabia and thus now facing energy shortfalls as imports from Russia dry up.

Rather late in the day government’s are waking up to the fact that instead of economic sanctions serving as a weapon against Russia in its conflict with Ukraine, Russia’s retaliatory bans on exports have turned sanctions into a weapon against the people of European Union and NATO member states. Europe and North America facing an energy crisis with spiralling fuel costs driving millions of families into poverty and crippling thousands of businesses, both large and small.

There is little that can be done to avert the worst consequences of the current crisis, the failure of energy policies based on switching from reliable sources like gas, oil, coal and nuclear to unreliable sources like wind turbines and solar panels had already created the crisis before tensions between Ukraine and Russia boiled over, the outbreak of war and imposition of sanctions have only exacerbated the problem.

The solution however, a return to coal in the short term, reopening previously uneconomic oil and gas fields now that financial market prices for these commodities has made them viable again, and a revival of nuclear power, the only reliable and CO2 free fuel for energy generation in the long term, at least until new sources such as thorium reactors, nuclear fission and hydrogen gas are sufficiently developed. But as some elements in the political establishment are taking a realistic line on these future developments, others, worried perhaps by nuclear;s dodgy reputation or its track record of proving far more expensive that estimates suggest, are resisting a move in that direction.

Unnamed sources in Westminster are leaking reports today that suggest that Boris Johnson is at loggerheads with finance chief Rishi Sunak over the Chancellor’s apparent resistance to Johnson’s newly discovered enthusiasm for dramatically increasing the number of nuclear power stations in Britain.

Apparently Sunak’s refusal to support the Prime Minister on a rapid expansion of the Government’s plans for nuclear power is a setback for the key element Boris’ energy strategy announced earlier this month. The Prime Minister believes there is no alternative to nuclear if he is to secure Britain’s energy supplies long-term in the face of a crisis that could have been avoided if politicians and their advisers had thought through their policy proposals properly instead of being influenced by the sentimental screeching of the green lobby.

The Prime Minister reportedly believes that the Treasury was to blame for earlier attempts to get nuclear energy into place, being stymied on account of its likely cost. Johnson is due to meet nuclear power companies on Monday to discuss how quickly new, small nuclear plants could be rolled out.

The bust up between Boris and his right hand man comes days before Mr Sunak’s spring statemen, when he is expected to unveil measures to address the cost of living crisis.

Last year,when oil and gas were plentiful and cheap, environment minister Lord Goldsmith warned that nuclear was “the most expensive form of energy in the history of energy” – a criticism that Boris Johnson appeared to tackle head on last week. In an article for The Daily Telegraph, the Prime Minister wrote: “So now is the time to make a series of big new bets on nuclear power. The 1997 Labour manifesto said there was ‘no economic case’ for more nuclear – even though nuclear is in fact safe, clean and reliable. But that was long before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine pushed oil and gas prices to multi-year highs.

Rolls-Royce plans to build up to 15 mini nuclear reactors in Britain

Rolls-Royce has announced that it plans to build, install, and operate up to 15 mini nuclear reactors in Britain, with the first set to go online in nine years. In a BBC Radio 4 interview with business journalist Katie Prescott on January 24, 2020’s Today program, Paul Stein, chief technology officer for Rolls-Royce, said that the company is leading a consortium to produce factory-built modular nuclear reactors that can be delivered for assembly by ordinary lorries.

Currently, the world is undergoing a boom in nuclear power. According to the World Nuclear Association, there are 448 operating civilian reactors and another 53 under construction. However, almost all of these are being built in Eastern Europe and Asia, with China alone building more reactors than the entire Western world combined.

Part of the reason for this is political with every reactor program in Europe or North America facing implacable environmentalist opposition and part of it is the expense of building and operating large reactors in an energy economy now dominated by cheap natural gas. However, one technology trend that could reverse this stagnation is the development of small, modular nuclear reactors that could be mass-produced in factories, carted to the site by ordinary lorries, and then assembled to generate cheap carbon-free electricity.

This approach, too, has its drawbacks, but Rolls-Royce believes that its consortium has got its sums right and can restart Britain’s nuclear industry by building up to 15 Small Modular Reactors (SMR) with an expected value to the UK economy of £52 billion (US$68 billion), another £250 billion (US$327 billion) in exports, and 40,000 new jobs by 2050.

Each power station is projected to have a service life of 60 years and generate 440 MW of electricity, or enough to power a city the size of Leeds. The estimated cost of the electricity generated is £60 (US$78) per MWh.

“Our plan is to get energy on the grid in 2029,” Prescott told the BBC. “The obvious sites to put them are what we call brown-field sites – sites where we’re running elderly or decommissioned nuclear power stations. There are two sites in Wales and one in the northwest of England. Eventually in the UK, we’ll be rolling out 10 to 15. We’re also looking to a significant export market. In fact, the current estimate for the export market for SMRs is £250 billion, so this could be a huge industry.”

According to a previous press release from Rolls-Royce, the British government has already promised £18 million in matching funds, or about half the present costs of the endeavor, with the consortium partners providing the rest. Prescott says that the advantage of the Rolls-Royce plan is that it doesn’t involve building a whole new reactor, as other companies have tried to do, but rather to adapt a present design. In addition, the reactors will be built along manufacturing lines rather than civil construction, which the company claims will drive down costs rather than inflating them.

And they are right to be concerned because not only is 5G more intense than previous wireless technologies, it is planned to be right in our homes, around us every day as the Silicon valley control freaks roll out the ‘Internet Of Things’ so they can spy on you not just through your smartphone and computer by through yout TV, cooker, fridge and, bugger me with a bargepoole, even through your internet enabled toilet.

Germany embarked on Energiewende in 2010 with the goal of eventually making Germany independent of fossil fuels. The idea was to phase out oil, coal, and natural gas to allow for drastic reductions in carbon dioxide emissions. Since 2009, Germany has spent over a hundred billion euros on solar and wind energy, but carbon dioxide emissions did not decline over that period. In fact, they have risen by about 2 percent. The financial obligations from the expansion of wind and solar energy will continue to burden taxpayers for another two decades and will end-up costing German consumers around 550 billion euros.

In 2017, Germany’s energy consumption was fueled primarily by fossil fuels (79 percent). Renewables including hydroelectric power provided 15 percent and nuclear energy 5 percent. Despite the generating sector providing just about one-fifth of Germany’s total energy consumption, it was targeted to phase out its fossil fuel generating capacity under Energiewende. When the tsunami hit Japan in 2011, Germany decided to phase out its nuclear power first despite the unlikelihood of a similar disaster hitting Germany. Germany’s nuclear generation has declined by 56 percent since it reached its peak in 2001. Germany’s nuclear plants are to be shut down by 2022 and its coal-fired plants are to be closed by 2030.

Germany backs up its wind and solar units with coal-fired and natural gas-fired generation. Germany has 36 billion metric tons of coal reserves and produces domestically about half the coal it consumes. Despite its desire to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, Germany is bulldozing centuries-old villages and displacing their residents to make way for open-pit brown coal (lignite) mines. Having very few reserves of natural gas, it imports natural gas by pipeline with over half of it coming from Russia. Germany is Europe’s biggest natural gas consumer, and its demand is expected to rise by about 1 percent over the next five years as it phases out its nuclear fleet.

India And Pakistan: Inching Toward Their Final War?

India and Pakistan are the nuclear powers mainstream media tends to forget as they focus on USA, Russia, China and North Korea, but both have between 120 and 140 nuclear warheads, probably not equipped with the latest guidance and stealth technology, but good enough to do a lot od damage according to the Arms Control Association. A report published in 2015 by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace and the Stimson Center claims that Pakistan may be outpacing India in terms of its nuclear stockpile, and may possess 350 nuclear warheads within the next five to ten years. A 2016 SIPRI report also concluded that Pakistan now has more nuclear warheads than India.

However, what should most concern us about the nuclear-weapons policies of the neighbouring states is not the size of the stockpiles, but their radically different nuclear doctrines.

The major difference between the two countries’ nuclear doctrines is that while India has renounced first use of nuclear weapons, Pakistan has refused to do so by reserving its right to use nuclear weapons in the face of India’s conventional superiority.

So far aroundthe uncertainty Pakistan’s nuclear capabilities is preventing a major conflagration in South Asia. Pakistan’s refusal to reject first use, and its emphasis on building stockpiles of tactical nuclear weapons and short-range missiles can be explained in light of its conventional-force inferiority. It is in fact a mirror image of the American nuclear doctrine as applied to central Europe during the Cold War. The United States refused to disavow first use of nuclear weapons, and deployed tactical nuclear weapons in central Europe on a large scale, because of NATO’s presumed inferiority in terms of conventional power against that deployed by the Warsaw Pact.

But for Pakistan, the uncertainty introduced by its nuclear doctrine has delivered a bonus. The nuclear threat provided Pakistan with the shield behind which terrorist groups armed and trained by Islamabad, such as Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Muhammad, can engage in casing havoc not only in Indian-administered Kashmir but also in other parts of India. The fear of provoking a nuclear response from Pakistan has prevented India from retaliating to these provocations, use of its superior conventional forces to inflict a crushing defeat on Pakistan.

India did not retaliate even when a massive terrorist operation launched from Pakistan targeted India’s financial capital, Mumbai, in November 2008. This attack lasted for more than sixty hours and left at least 174 people dead.

However, it seems that the logic of this deterrence is fast eroding. Attacks such as the one in Mumbai, and subsequent assaults on Indian military installations in Kashmir and elsewhere, have also provided justification for India’s hard-line Hindu nationalists to whip up support for a military response, thus putting pressure on the Indian government to abandon its policy of diplomatic responses. In the past few months, Indian retaliatory attacks have targeted not only terrorist bases but also Pakistani military facilities, causing significant casualties among Pakistani forces.

The escalation in the last two years in terror attacks, especially by Jaish-e-Muhammad, on Indian military targets in Kashmir and surrounding Indian states has made the situation very perilous. In the past several months, terrorist groups operating from Pakistan with the complicity of the government and military authorities have undertaken several major attacks, causing significant loss of life in India.

A major attack on the Uri camp in Jammu and Kashmir in September 2016, left seventeen military personnel dead and shocked the Indian government into reassessing its strategy in response to such attacks. On September 29, 2016, India launched a “surgical strike” against terrorist bases in Pakistan. Although there has been speculation that India conducted similar strikes before that, it was the first time Delhi indicated publicly that it was ready to launch major retaliatory attacks against targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

In the latest incident, in February 2018, Jaish terrorists attacked an Indian military camp in Jammu; five army personnel and four militants were killed. In retaliation, the Indian army destroyed a Pakistani army post with the help of rocket launchers, killing, according to Indian sources, twenty-two Pakistani personnel. This tit-for-tat exchange is reaching dangerous proportions.

The Pakistani military tends to downplay Indian incursions and retaliatory attacks, while bigging up their own, and true to form they refused to recognize the seriousness of the escalating cross border violence, mainly because it does not want to appear weak in the eyes of the Pakistani public which has a culture of honour and revenge, and is likely to clamor for retribution. However, as more and more Pakistanis get internet access the military cannot continue to downplay Indian attacks, or increasing fatalities. There is the danger that at some point, either by miscalculation or by design, an Indian surgical strike in Pakistani territory will push the Pakistani military to retaliate in force.

Trump’s leaked review of the US’s nukes seems to confirm Russia has an underwater nuclear doomsday weapon

President Donald Trump’s nuclear arsenal review, which wasleaked to HuffPost, seems to suggest their is a belief in the US military ans state security community that Russia is developing a new, submarine – borne, nuclear weapon that experts have described as ‘a doomsday weapon.’ which could devastate US cities in a single attack.

“Russia is developing and deploying new nuclear warheads and launchers,” the leaked document says, noting that the system is thought to be “a new intercontinental, nuclear-armed, undersea autonomous torpedo.”

Representations of designs for such a nuclear torpedo have been spotted in TV footage of a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and military chiefs in November 2015.

The video showed plans for a submarine that could theoretically travel underwter for 6,200 miles at 100 knots and deliver a megaton-class thermonuclear weapon to create “wide areas of radioactive contamination,” according to a BBC translation of captured screenshots of the document.

Since the BBC reported that meeting and caputred screenshots of material describing the new submarine weapons system, many have disputed the notion that Russia would build such a system. But the leaked draft of Trump’s nuclear posture review indicates the US government at its highest levels believes the torpedo, known as the “oceanic multi-purpose Status-6 system,” is real.

Jeffrey Lewis, a leading academic on nuclear matters, quickly gave the Status-6 a catchier name: “Putin’s doomsday machine.”

When the plans for the Status-6 leaked in 2015, the Brookings Institution characterized their appearance on camera as deliberatepropaganda rather than sloppy security.

Not only could the weapon obliterate the area with potentially 100 times the power of the bomb dropped on Hiroshima in 1945, but it could also leave behind long-lasting radioactive waste.

Lewis has described the weapon as “bat-shit crazy” and “absurd.” He previously told Business Insider in an interview that the idea was “deeply, deeply, deeply immoral” and that the US never considers weapons like this for its nuclear arsenal.

Somehow we find it hard to believe that if the world’s greatest warmongers, the USA, had the knowhow to build such a weapon there is any chance they would let ethical considerations stop them from building it.

Is USA Preparing For Nuclear War With Russia?

That headline might look like sensationalist click bait to you, but the nuclear scientists who contribute to Bulletin Of The Atomic Scientists appear to think it is an accurate reflection of the US Government’s current strategic thinking. The august journal that serves as the newsletter for members of their profession carries some very worrying news on US plans to modernise its nuclear arsenal.

The US nuclear forces modernization program has been portrayed to the public as an effort to ensure the reliability and safety of warheads in the US nuclear arsenal, rather than to enhance their military capabilities. In reality, however, that program has implemented revolutionary new technologies that will vastly increase the targeting capability of the US ballistic missile arsenal. This increase in capability is astonishing — boosting the overall killing power of existing US ballistic missile forces by a factor of roughly three — and it creates exactly what one would expect to see, if a nuclear-armed state were planning to have the capacity to fight and win a nuclear war by disarming enemies with a surprise first strike.

“A surprise first strike.” That phrase is particularly worrying, because previously the justification for the existence of nuclear weapons has always been deterrence through mutually assured destruction. There are many people in Washington of course who have lost contact with reality and in their deranged state can actually convince themselves that a nuclear was is winnable. Anyone who is now thinking, “hold on there, mutually assured destruction might apply to everybody else but what about American exceptionalism. Well what about it. The idea that a nuclear war can be won with minimal levels of destruction in the USA seems to be based on the development of one, as yet untested piece of technology.

Because the innovations in the super-fuze appear, to the non-technical eye, to be minor, policymakers outside of the US government (and probably inside the government as well) have completely missed its revolutionary impact on military capabilities and its important implications for global security.

This vast increase in US nuclear targeting capability, which has largely been concealed from the general public, has serious implications for strategic stability and perceptions of US nuclear strategy and intentions.
Russian planners will almost surely see the advance in fuzing capability as empowering an increasingly feasible US preemptive nuclear strike capability — a capability that would require Russia to undertake countermeasures that would further increase the already dangerously high readiness of Russian nuclear forces. Tense nuclear postures based on worst-case planning assumptions already pose the possibility of a nuclear response to false warning of attack. The new kill capability created by super-fuzing increases the tension and the risk that US or Russian nuclear forces will be used in response to early warning of an attack — even when an attack has not occurred.

The report was authored by America’s moist senior experts in the analysis of weaponry and especially of the geostrategic balance between nations: Hans Kristensen, Matthew McKinzie, and Theodore Postol. The authors explain why an accidental start of World War III or global annihilation would be likeiier from Russia than from the U.S.:

Russia does not have a functioning space-based infrared early warning system but relies primarily on ground-based early warning radars to detect a US missile attack. Since these radars cannot see over the horizon, Russia has less than half as much early-warning time as the United States. (The United States has about 30 minutes, Russia 15 minutes or less.) Really? In other words they are claiming (wrongly as it happens, but hey they’re scientists – they don’t live in the real world,) that Trump would have about 30 minutes to decide that Putin had launched a blitz-first-strike attack, while Putin would have less than 15 minutes to judge whether Trump had. Here’s where it gets really crazy; if withing these periods, neither side can conclude with certainty that no nuclear strike had been launched by the other, then the ultimate authority would be obliged to launch an attack, upon the assumption that not to do so would result not only in a toxic planet with nuclear winter and universal starvation, but also in a humiliating and scandalous absence of retaliation against the aggressor.

The astounding assumptions about American technological superiority are what is most l;ikely to lead to nuclear disaster. I read in a novel recently of a hacker attack by a non-national force whose mindset permitted them to believe nuclear destruction was justified in order to glorify their god, and perpetrated a hacker attack on satellite early warning systems to create the appearance that east and west has simultaneously launched nuclear armed ICBMs to provoke real missile launches in response. That was just a fictional scenario, but is technically feasible, if such a non governmental terrorist force existed to exploit the many volnerabilities in the technology we are committed to. But such as terrorist force is – IS – IS – impossible is it not?

Inevitably, the personal morality and mindset of national leaders come in to play in that type of situation, but with so little time to gather and analyse information and decide on a course of action who can say decisions would be rational. Against that the worst prediction from the Warmageddonist lobby of the risks posed by global warming look about as threatening as a smelly fart.

Russia Unveils Son Of Satan – This Is Why We Told Americans To Vote Anyone But Hillary.

The election is over, and part from the wailing and gnashing of teeth from heartbroken Clinton supporters who refuse to believe the war candidate lost, with luck we will have heard the last of Hillary Clinton, her serial rapist husband Bill and their plug ugly daughter Chelsea.

Trump of course will be in the news probably for the next four years and all of us in alt – media, after taking a break maybe, will be scrutinizing his every move for as long as he is president. One good thing about Trump, and the reason why, although this blog never supported him we opposed Hillary Clinton so determinedly, is that while Trump has said he does not want war with Russia, Hillary was mad for war with anyone and everyone.

News agency Zvezda reports Russia has today  announced the start to field trials of its latest generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) the RS-28 Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile, intended to replace the existing R-36M2 Voevoda (NATO designation SS-18 “Satan”).

According to the Zvedza report,  the two-stage, liquid-fuelled RS-28 weighs 100 tonnes, and is capable of delivering 12 warheads via its multiple independently targetable re-entry vehicle (MIRV) payload at a range of 10,000km (6000 miles).

The RS-28 employs “an array of advanced antimissile countermeasures” plus “higher speed performance”, designed to thwart any anti-ballistic missile (ABM) system. In other words it is designed to evade US missile shield defences. There is widespread speculation  that they would have a conventional hypersonic version like the US’s Advanced Hypersonic Weapon or the Chinese WU-14 and could be used as a precision intercontinental weapon in a non-nuclear conflict.

The allegedly unstoppable missile is “capable of wiping out parts of the earth the size of Texas or France”, Zvezda cheerfully explains. What is particularly worrying for US defence chiefs responsible for advising the war crazu hawks of the Washington political establishment is the ‘known know’ that in response to the USA deploying nuclear missiles to Poland and Romania, earlier this year Vladimir Putin ordered Russian ICBM’s launched from mobile platforms similar to the one pictured above, to the Kaliningrad enclave on the shore of the Baltic, form where cities on the east coast of the USA are withing the Sarmat’s range.

Further tech details have not been released, although defence experts IHS Markit assume the RS-28s will use the same RD-274 engine cluster (4 x RD-273 units) burning a hypergolic mix of unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine (UDMH) and N₂O₄ (nitrogen textroxide) that lift the R-36M2 Voevoda. The advantage of this system is that the fuel components are comparatively easy to store over long periods, as opposed to cryogenic fuels.

The Object 4202 rocket was fired thousands of miles from the Yasny Launch Base in Russia to the far-east peninsula of Kamchatka with Kremlin officials calling the test a ‘success’.   When it enters service in 2018, the new ICBM will occupy the same silos currently housing the R-36M2, although the facilities will require modification to accommodate the Son of Satan.

Woke up this morning (I know that sounds like the opening of a blues song, but bear with me), leisurely breakfast, watched the news – Osborne wittering about how well they economy was doing (which was an ominous sign), read for a while, drove Mrs T down the shops. Came in, turned on the computer.

First thing I see, Greece is facing economic meltdown. Nothing new there then, Greece is always facing economic meltdown. Next item:

News about the widening Ebola outbreak is getting worse by the day. Thus far, 7,000 persons have been infected and about 3,500 have died—including our first official case in Dallas, Texas. Furthermore, rumors have been circulating about the possibility of Ebola infected persons from Arizona all the way to Washington D.C.

If these headlines have left you wondering whether we are nearing a global pandemic with scenes reminiscent of movies like “Outbreak”, then here is something to ponder, at a recent Ebola conference White House Correspondent with CBS News Major Garrett, accidently left his mic on and was caught saying “Were Screwed” about the Ebola virus

But that’s not all, recently I came across a document put out by medical professionals (and others) titled, Hemorrhagic Fever Virus as Biological Weapon Medical and Public Health Management. This document revealed more about Ebola then I wished to know!

Then I read that we are closer than ever to war with Russia and China over Ukraine and Syria, thanks to the stupidity of our politicians who just can’t see that when the west starts meddling in the affairs of nations with vastly different cultures to our and when we try to impose on them by force, our culture and values, things never turn out well.

There are a lot of stupid politicians the world over, mot of the stupidest it seems in the USA and UK. The US, backed by the UK and EU are dangerously close to stumbling into a war with Russia over Ukraine that could go nuclear and kill hundreds of millions of people in a single day, one of the world’s leading authorities on the consequences of nuclear conflict warned in Washington this week.

“It’s an incredibly dangerous situation. … If there’s a nuclear war tonight, that’s the Northern Hemisphere (of the entire world) gone, Dr. Helen Caldicott told a National Press Club Newsmakers news conference on Wednesday. She was speaking on the topic: “Ukraine: Is Nuclear Conflict Likely?”

And finally another headline caught my eye and I looked at the stock markets to find that stock markets in Europe, America and Asia are collapsing. Oh well, that’s better news. I put my investments into safer havens over a year ago. 😀
